Dacia is currently exhibiting the new Duster Adventure Edition at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The cross-over goes one step further in go-anywhere appeal, promising fun plus utility for drivers seeking to get away from it all.
The exterior boasts an original mix of great-outdoors features: roof bar-mounted spot lamps3, front and rear skidplates, black masks for rear lamp units, red arrows marking tow ring and jack locations, and side protection with Duster markings. Special decals proudly announce the vehicle’s adventurous intent.
There are also a special radiator grille with gloss black surround, wing mirror covers, 16” wheels, and tinted windows for protection against UV, breakage, glare and heat.
The interior features special upholstery featuring white overstitching, the compass motif and the Duster signature. The gloss black centre console mirrors the exterior design details, while the
air vent surrounds, steering wheel ring and door handles are in contrasting white.
The Duster Aventure limited edition is based on the Ambiance version, and is available in a choice of two colours: Glacier White and Pearl Black. It will hit the market in April 2013.
Renault has presented the ultra-effective Dacia Duster LPG. The 4×2 version is powered by a 1.6 liter 16 valve petrol with 105HP (77 kW).
The Ambiance and Laureate versions come with identical prices with their petrol-engined brothers – €13,350 and €14,350, respectively. In other words, you get way more economical vehicle with the same power and extras.
The LPG Duster emits just 146g of CO2/km compared with 167g/km when using petrol. Its combined-cycle fuel consumption is 9.2 litres/100km with LPG and 7.2 litres/100km with petrol. However, at less than €1/litre, the pump price of LPG makes it a significantly more economical solution compared with petrol.
As is the case with all LPG vehicles, the driver is free to choose between the LPG and petrol modes, and the switch between the two fuels is very simple. Running on LPG, Duster has a range of almost 1,000km on a full tank.
LPG/petrol versions of Duster come with Dacia’s usual three-year or 100,000km warranty. In 2012, Dacia vehicles represented more than half of total LPG sales in France. The 34-litre LPG tank replaces the spare wheel beneath the boot (tyre inflation kit supplied).
Order books for the LPG version opened across the French Dacia network on January 29, 2013.
Dacia has officially presented the Sandero Stepway. The new model is now turning up the heat with “shockingly affordable” prices. Having already announced the country’s “most affordable new car” and “most affordable new SUV” (as well as 4×4), Dacia is now cementing its reputation for great prices with the “UK’s most affordable supermini crossover”.
The two Ambiance versions also come loaded with Bluetooth, metallic paint and a radio/CD system with fingertip controls. Being a Renault Group product, safety gear hasn’t been skimped on either. For maximum passenger protection, Sandero Stepway benefits from seatbelts with calibrated load limiters for thorax protection in the event of impact, plus rear seat Isofix anchorage points. That’s on top of the standard fit driver, passenger and front side airbags and ESC.
The Sandero Stepway range-topper comes in the form, as usual, of Lauréate. Mirroring the high kit count of the equivalent Sandero, it profers air conditioning, a chrome front grille, full electric windows and electric heated door mirrors.
The flagship features MediaNav 7” touchscreen multimedia system with SAT NAV, AUX and USB inputs and four speakers. Plus, it’s also got cruise control, speed limiter and rear parking sensors.
Inside its spacious and curvaceous body, it also conceals a height adjustable steering wheel and driver’s seat, leather steering wheel and gearknob and seven-function trip computer. For those looking to indulge themselves with a touch of luxury, dark carbon leather upholstery (with synthetic leather side bolsters) is available at an equally affordable £600.
Four body colours are available to choose from, all in metallic hues. Cinder Red, Mercury, Pearl Black and Azurite Blue.
Two engines are offered – the TCe 90 is a direct-injection, turbocharged, three-cylinder 0.9-litre petrol with 90HP. It returns up to 52.3 mpg on combined cycle.
The 1.5 liter diesel – the dCi 90 has returns 70.6 mpg on combined cycle with just 105 g/km of CO2.
Dacia Lodgy is priced from just €9 900 in France. The family MPV can be equipped with up to seven seats and combines a high standard of comfort with a roomy cabin and a spacious boot.
The engine range includes: a 1.6 liter MPI with 85PS, a 1.5 liter dCi with 90PS and with 110PS. The new 1.2 liter TCe will be available later this year. It will develop 115PS and return very good mileage.

Dacia has introduced Lodgy Glace – the sports variant of the new family road car which will be launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2012. Two Lodgy Glace will will take to on the grid for every race as the first will be driven by Alain Prost and the second by Nicolas Prost and Evens Stievenart.
The Lodgy Glace has been designed specifically for this unique racing series, which is renowned as one of the most challenging in motorsport. The technical regulations of the Trophée Andros are extremely strict, and impose restrictions on all aspects of the vehicle – chassis dimensions, gearbox, tyres, including the materials employed. Everything is done to limit the use of complex and costly technical solutions: instead, this series is all about finding simple, ingenious solutions, a measure which fits perfectly with the Dacia brand. The series also brings the car‘s reliability to the fore, combined with driver skill.
Custom-prepared by the teams at Tork Engineering – design, production, assembly and Sodemo – engine.
The Lodgy Glace is fully checked by Renault Sport Technologies (RST). Throughout the project, RST has contributed its technical and sporting expertise from the world of motorsport: it acts like a conductor, perfectly coordinating the different technical partners and disciplines – design, engineering, the Dacia brand and the drivers.

Dacia has officially unveiled the Duster No Limit Rally Car, which will compete at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The vehicle is developed specially for this race and features some very interesting components. It is an exceptional, extremely powerful car. Duster No Limit was constructed by Tork Engineering and Renault Sport Technologies.
Dacia Duster No Limit complies with the specific regulations of the American competition’s Unlimited class which sets no upper limit on the size or power output of the engine. There is also no minimum weight and any tyres can be used. Furthermore, the transmission system or aerodynamics have no limits, too.
So, first of all, Duster No Limit is powered by the brutal 3.8 liter bi-turbo V6 from Nissan GT-R. Of course, it is highly tuned – 862PS (634 kW) and mated to a 6-speed sequential Sadev transmission.
The aerodynamics package for Duster No Limit includes massive rear wing, brutal extensions and a large front lip spoiler. Everything is developed in the wind tunnel for maximum performance.
The car will be driven by Jean-Philippe Dayraut, a three-time winner of the Trophée Andros.
“The Pikes Peak Hill Climb is the only event where you get to keep a monster like this in check while drifting at speeds of 200kph on a course which features a mix of asphalt and dirt,” commented Jean-Philippe Dayraut.
“I can’t think of any other form of motorsport where such cars are authorised.”, he finished
PIKES PEAK INTERNATIONAL HILL CLIMB:
Location: Colorado (USA)
Course length: 20km
Start altitude: 2,860 metres
Finish altitude: 4,300 metres
Surface type: half-asphalt/half-dirt
Course record (‘Unlimited’ class): 10m 1.42s
Record established by Japan’s Tajima Nobuhiro (Suzuki) in 2007
Dacia has released a new limited edition Duster, which is specially created for the maniacs of the wintersports. The limited edition Duster marks the extension of the Group’s 10-year partnership with the École de Ski Français (ESF).
The new version is based on Lauréate 4×4 version and is powered by the dCi 110 Euro5 engine, which develops 110HP.
However, not everyone can buy the new Duster ESF, because it is made exclusively for Ski instructors. Dacia Duster ESF is available only in Glacier White and the price tag is €18 990.
The special edition Duster is easy to recognise:
ESF badging
strengthened aluminium sump guard
transverse roof bars with ski rack (for four pairs of skis)
This is Dacia Sandero Stepway Concept, which is meant to show the world the feminine side of the budget model. Further details of the model have not been released yet, but it’s clear at this point that it’s just a design exercise.
The concept features staggering blue LED daytime running lights integrated in the Xenon headlights, different body graphics and a new body kit consisting of front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts and rear diffuser. (more…)
2011 Huyndai Solaris is the official name of RB Concept. The car is produced specially for Russian market and you may recognize it like the Verna or the Accent. The features for the Russian market include more powerful battery and enduro headlights, heating vents for rear seat passengers, a four-liter washer fluid tank and mudguards all around.
Additiоnally, you can order heated front seats and mirrors, a de-icer for the wipers, and an emergency stop signal that activates in an accident. (more…)
Today’s all-terrain vehicles are often synonymous with bulk, but Duster is an antidote to that idea. With a length of 4.31 metres and a width of 1.82 metres, Duster is very compact. Its Megane-size proportions ensure that it is as at home in built-up areas as it is off the beaten track. While it clearly belongs to the world of all-terrain vehicles, Dacia Duster displays attractive lines.
Duster is unmistakably a 4×4. From the front, it exudes an impression of toughness: the wide wheelarches, the imposing lines of the chrome grille and the sump guard clearly emphasise the 4×4 DNA of Duster. Seen from the side, the high ground clearance, clearly defined wheelarches and protective mouldings encourage the driver to tackle even the toughest roads and tracks. (more…)
