  • 2014 Dacia Duster To Debut At Frankfurt Motor Show

2014-Dacia-Duster-THUMB2014 Dacia Duster will make its debut at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The vehicle has been upgraded for European left hand drive markets, but it keeps its design characteristics that made its success.

The new Duster will sport more emphatic 4×4 design cues. The front end for example has been refined and now includes redesigned grille. The latter is adorned by two chrome-plated strips and houses a new air intake and double-optic headlights with daytime running lights.

These upgrades additionally highlight the vehicle’s on-road muscular appearance and “go-anywhere” character. The overall result is that the new Dacia model has even stronger character while retaining its initial DNA.

On the other hand the SUV character of the car is strengthened by the new roof bars with slatted supports. Moreover, the 2014 Duster runs on new 16-inch “Dark Metal” alloy wheels which are coupled with Mud and Snow tyres.

Another new design element is visible at the back of the car and it is the new rear-lights. Their design is made to echo the styling cues of the front end, notably though the utilization of chrome. In addition, the chrome-plated tail pipe and the brand-new badging round out the entire exterior.

  • Renault DCross Concept Unveiled

Renault DCross Concept is the next exciting SUV model which was just revealed in Sao Paolo. Next to it the brand unveiled also the Novo Clio and Fluence GT, which are exclusively made for the Brazilian market.

Novo Clio is the first vehicle in Brazil which is going to include brand’s new identity. The model is in fact an evolution of Clio II and brings to the customers more personalization options and individualization.

On the other hand, the Fluence GT is the first vehicle to bear the Renault Sport signature. The sporty version of the sedan will be equipped with 180 hp (132 kW) turbo-compressed engine, a sport chassis and a sporty design.

The new DCross concept however is something we have already seen before and are familiar with it. If you think that it looks exactly like the Dacia Duster, than you are hundred percent right!

Nonetheless, the fresh green appearance of the concept is something that grabs the attention immediately. And the contrasting matt black paint scheme brings about more aggressiveness to the over outlook of this Renault SUV.

In addition, compared to the Duster model, this one has a raised height which makes it perfect for off-road enthusiasts. And the main question here is whether we are going to see this concept taking a form of an official production vehicle.

  • Dacia shows Duster off-roader at Geneva

Today’s all-terrain vehicles are often synonymous with bulk, but Duster is an antidote to that idea. With a length of 4.31 metres and a width of 1.82 metres, Duster is very compact. Its Megane-size proportions ensure that it is as at home in built-up areas as it is off the beaten track. While it clearly belongs to the world of all-terrain vehicles, Dacia Duster displays attractive lines.

Duster is unmistakably a 4×4. From the front, it exudes an impression of toughness: the wide wheelarches, the imposing lines of the chrome grille and the sump guard clearly emphasise the 4×4 DNA of Duster. Seen from the side, the high ground clearance, clearly defined wheelarches and protective mouldings encourage the driver to tackle even the toughest roads and tracks. (more…)
