Cosworth Reveals FA20 Power Package

Cosworth FA20 Power Package is here. Through its introduction the company deliberately moves on from individual component supply towards fully validated system packages. The current upgrade is suitable on for Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86. Cosworth’s Power Packages will offer motorsport enthusiasts the ease and reliability of power upgrades. The development of FA20 is inspired by Formula One and sports car racing, and the result is a peak performance of up to 380 horsepower (280 kW). There are several stages of the upgrade, each of which builds upon and uses components in the previous Stage.

Stage 1 Power Package offers a power increase of up to 230 hp (170 kW). It features Cosworth free flow sports exhaust, a “Power by Cosworth” calibration kit, an exclusive vehicle badge and a uniquely numbered authentication plaque with the name of the tuning company, performance filtration solution and low temperature thermostat.

All of the components mentioned work together as a solution, rather than a collection of individual parts. They maximize peak performance and reliability. For example, tuning company’s free flow sports exhaust features two 4” diagonally cut, branded, double wall tips and a stylish “Y” shaped back muffler/silencer.

In combination with the other components, this stainless steel exhaust increases the power output to 220 hp (162 kW). By adding the optional combined overpipe front pipe, which has a spherical resonator, the new calibration power output is raised to 225 hp (165 kW). At last, the black manifold header has equal length piping and CNC machined exhaust flanges, not only helps to significantly reduce under hood/bonnet temperatures, but also boosts the output up to 230 hp (170 kW).

Cosworth Releases Video Teaser Of Upgraded Subaru BRZ

Cosworth Subaru BRZ is going to be equipped with tuning company latest enhancement package called Cosworth Power Package – FA20. What was revealed about it is that it will include the FA20 engine platform as well as the video below. Company’s ability to engineer and manufacture complete engine systems for our customers is a key capability. What we have also understood is that this will be a complete performance upgrade kit, which has been designed and validated as a system to provide guaranteed levels of power and reliability.

FA-20 name probably refers to Subaru BRZ’s 2.0-liter horizontally-opposed four-cylinder Boxer petrol engine. It delivers 200 hp (147 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft). In addition, it also boasts a low centre of gravity and rear-wheel drive for engaging driving thrills.

Furthermore, from the teaser video we can conclude that in the upgraded version of the BRZ we will probably see an upgraded exhaust system, large rear wing and body stripes both in blue. There is a chance of included supercharger or turbocharger which will enhance horsepower. In the video we also see the Toyota GT86, which means that the FA20 will work flawlessly for this model as well.

LyonHeart K Coupe and Convertible – Pricing And Specifications Announced

LyonHeart has just announced the prices and specifications of the luxury sports car Lyonheart K Coupé and Convertible. There will be only 250 units produced from these versions and they will be built between December 2013 and the summer of 2015.

The delivery for the Lyonheart K is between 18 to 24 months, depending on specifications and body type, which the customer wishes. In February last year, the Coupe and Convertible of LyonHeart K were officially unveiled to the general public, when they achieved a great success.

Both models were created by Robert Palm and were engineered and will be built by the specialist at the Envisage Group in Coventry. The latter is well known for their expertise in building low volume series for renowned carmakers.

In addition, another important fact is that Cosworth refined the 5.0 Litre Supercharged V8 engine of these vehicles, thanks to which it can now generates 575 PS (423 kW) and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) of torque. What is more LyonHeart K is equipped with all aluminium chassis and finely tuned multilink chassis, which delivers exceptional dynamics and agility.

The superb power is translated into reality effortlessly: the Lyonheart K accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 300 km/h. Both models can be ordered immediately, and have the following prices: LyonHeart K Coupé: EUR 360 000 and LyonHeart K Convertible: EUR 375 000.

Kahn Range Rover Bali Blue RS300 Cosworth is the latest tuning of the famous British company. This time they have combined Cosworth engineering with quintessential styling.

To be more precise, the Range Rover is equipped with RS 300 Cosworth edition package, it is painted in Bali blue, and includes one of a kind interior design. As a matter of fact, the package is synonymous with style, comfort and luxury – it boasts a complete 10 piece wide arch body kit, extended front lower lip spoiler, exhaust side vents (pair), RS front grille with 3D mesh.

In addition, it also includes squad exhaust system in stainless steel, privacy tinted glass, exhaust side vents in matte pearl grey, door handles in matte pearl grey, front wheel arch LED light strips, exterior Cosworth enamel tailgate logo, exterior Cosworth enamel seat logos and break calipers finished in liquid red

As you see this iconic Range Rover received and upgraded appeal from Kahn Design. This was made through the feature of the Cosworth‘s engineering with quintessential British. This Imperial blue Cosworth Range Rover Edition now has even more style, comfort and luxury. It is now boosted with wide vented front and rear wheel arches with integrated LED running lights in the front air dams, brake calipers finished in liquid gold, RS front grille with 3D mesh, exhaust side vents, Cosworth branding, matt pearl grey or matt black paint detailing (door handles), side vents, grille surround and Cosworth machined and vented aluminum foot pedals.

Next to the powerful Cosworth engine enhancement, there is also featured a combination of alterations to the supercharger and ECU programmingq, which are taking effect as an even more rapid Range Rover. Cosworth included also in the interior a front and rear seats in diamond quilted perforated black leather with a carbon trim, carbon fibre interior trim, Cosworth speedo in blue, yellow rev counter, diamond gear selector, Churchill time clock with Swarovski diamond bezel and Cosworth door entry sill plates.
Next to be mentioned are those great wheels on which the Rover sits – namely 22″ Kahn RS wheels. The RS wheels are synonymous with elegance and innovation due to their simple clean lines, soft organic surfaces on the edge of the spoke and a purposeful mechanical centre.
