  • Vorsteiner’s Yellow Continental GT is Simply Gorgeous

Vorsteiner Bentley Continental GT BR10RS Front and Side ViewThe tuners at the Texas based Progressive Autosports company helped the Californians from Vorsteiner achieve this exquisite project involving the high speed Bentley Continental. I basically love the second tuner because its projects are simple but at the same time express the maximum of car’s advantages. The same has happened with this Monaco Yellow Continental GT with stock’s W12 unit.

Speaking of the engine, the 6.0-liter twin-turbo V8 has this great capability to produce rigorous amount of power: 575 hp (423 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) and push the car to its 320 km/h top speed limit. So this fact made both tuners pretty sure they didn’t want any engine boost.

This means that the current project comprises only of styling tweaks, but I assure you that they are worth it. As the name of the car shows, it is equipped with new BR10-RS aero kit made of carbon fiber components. It includes front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper crafted out from Vorsteiner’s specifically in-house made PrePreg lightweight material.

In addition, in the making of this aero package the designers had thought of keeping it in harmony with the factory design so that the new components can transition seamlessly, but at the same time emphasize the additional aggressiveness they give the car. At last, let’s take a look at these eye-catching futuristic wheels delivered by Velano. For the perfect on road presence of the car they were fitted with low-profile tyres.

Under the hood of the Continental GT W12 the new customers will find three changes to the mighty 6.0-litre twin turbo W12 powertrain. Firstly, the engine receives a power and torque increase. They have grown from 575 hp (423 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) to 590 hp (434 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft). Secondly, this update is accompanied by improvements to fuel economy of up to 5%. Bentley Continental GT with over 3,000HP (2,237 kW)? Of course, if you are a 48-year-old watch repairer, who obviously likes drag racing. Steve Neimantas from Yorkshire, UK spent 250,000 to convert the grand tourer into a drag racing beast.

The modified car is powered by a 10.2 liter V8 engine from Chevrolet equipped with two enormous turbochargers. The result is the whopping 3,000HP, which will be enough to catapult the Bentley from stand still to the finish line of ¼ mile in less than 7.0 seconds.

Of course, the conversion is not only installing the engine, but a super-huge rear wheels with drag tires, tiny front wheels to save weight, a roll-cage not only for safety, but for strengthening the chassis, a lot of carbon fiber elements and a parachute at the rear to stop somehow.

Bentley Continental GT drag can be be seen in action this weekend during the 1st round of the European Drag Racing Championship organized at the Santa Pod Raceway. The car will take place participate in the Street Eliminator class that includes only street legal cars.

  • Bentley Continental GT V8 in Munich [VIDEO]

Bentley-Continental-GT-V8-thumbMany car debuts occur in closed-door halls with a curtain over the model in question and lots of smoke and techno music for setting up the mood. The whole reveling process has become a sort of a cliché and Bentley are well aware of that. That is why for the Continental GT V8 premiere in Munich, the company went the extra mile…upwards.

Here is a video of a Bentley Continental GT V8 soaring trough the skies over Munich, with its indicators on, hooked to a helicopter. That could mean only two things: Either Munich’s no parking zone is strictly regulated… by the air force or Klaus Becker, General Manager of Bentley Munich organised a dramatic turn up for the new V8 at a special venue on a glazed bridge between two skyscrapers and in front of 300 VIP guests.

Here’s how Klaus Becker defended the stunt: “A dramatic car got the debut we felt it deserved and we took a little bit of our inspiration from Bentley’s iconic ‘Winged B’ emblem. On a practical level the helicopter was the fastest way to get to the rooftop podium.”

Either way it all looks very exciting. The V8 deserves that grand and loud première for it just might be the best Bentley ever produced.

  • Imperium Bentley Continental GT Audentia

Imperium has announced Bentley Continental GT Audentia. The tuned vehicle comes with the styling package consisting of aerodynamics kit and a sports exhaust system.

The exterior improvements include a new front bumper, new grille inserts and modified side skirts. There are also a new rear apron, a new diffuser and a sports exhaust system. The tag for the complete package is not low at all – £25 000, which is a bit pricey, especially, when you don’t get any interior modifications or performance upgrades.

The new elements are available in PU-RIM plastic or optional carbon fiber, which we guess is more expensive, so the complete price will be even bigger.

Bentley Continental GT Audentia will be limited to 50 units.
