2012 Mopar Dodge Charger Redline

The brand new 2012 Dodge Charger Redline is now with more aggressive look and delivers more dynamism in performance. This is due to the 426 HEMI^®-powered showcase of new Mopar® performance kits. They will be available later this year. At the event of the 2012 North American International Auto Show, the Dodge Charger Redline vehicle with all three Mopar performance stage kits will make its first appearance.

What Mopar has done to enhance this beautiful vehicle is firstly to include aerodynamic carbon fiber exterior components and interior accents. In details these modifications include a full-width Mopar carbon fiber chin spoiler in order to give the Charger Redline a more aggressive appearance. Matching the Redline Tri-coat paint, the two-piece grille features a body-color painted-grille surround with black signature “crosshair” insert. Large 20 x 8-inch Mopar Black Envy Wheels feature a Pitch Black-painted wheel face with polished accents. All this is possible thank to the lightweight aluminum V-8 engine block that shaves more than 100 lbs. from the traditional cast-iron crate version. On the other hand the new Gen III High Output 426 HEMI engine includes a stout, balanced lower reciprocating assembly that features a forged-steel crankshaft with six-bolt mains at 2, 3 and 4, and cross-bolted 4-bolt mains at 1 and 5. H-beam style rods are made from forged steel and coupled to forged 11:1 compression ratio aluminum pistons. In order to provide excellent oil dispersion and to prevent oil aeration by the crankshaft, there is also included a revised windage tray. Moreover the Gen III High Output 426 HEMI engine’s valvetrain starts with a more aggressive roller camshaft with .639 intake and .628 exhaust lift and cylinder heads that feature the latest designs for excellent flow characteristics. In addition tie bars are also available, thus helping stabilizing the valvetrain at high engine rpm. At last, in this amazing Dodge Charger Redline’s Stage III performance kit are also included Mopar cast-aluminum valve covers and billet fuel rails.

2012 Mopar Chrysler 200 Super S

The brand new 2012 Chrysler 200 sedan will be modified with Mopar parts and accessories. The vehicle is a rolling showcase for the latest Mopar exterior parts that will be available for the 200 sedan in 2012. The Chrysler 200 Super S by Mopar will make its first appearance at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. The Super S is Mopar’s view for Chrysler 200. All-in-one Chrysler 300 on it’s way

What Chrysler is going to try and do with the new 300 series is to blend style and luxury with affordability and refinement. Sales are expected to start during the first quarter of 2012 with a base price of $40,145.

Two trimmings will be offered when showrooms open up to costumers: the Chrysler 300 and the Chrysler 300 C. Both of these cars can be equipped with either an AWD system or RWD. The more economical and less powerful 300 pumps out 292 horsepower from a 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 while the 300C makes use of a 5.7 HEMI V8 which delivers 363 hp. The latter, Chrysler say, goes easy on the petrol as it employes their Fuel Saver Technology. However, the Pentastar is the one to ask about fuel-efficiency – 23mpg combined (21 for the AWD version). 2013 SRT VIPER to be built in Chrysler Group’s Conner Avenue Assembly Plant

More news from Chrysler Group LLC is coming today. Chrysler has announced that it will reopen its Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit for the production of the next generation SRT Viper. The Conner facility was vacant since the end of the production of the Dodge Viper in July 2010. The good news is that from Chrysler has also confirmed that in the late 2012 a next generation Viper will return on the market as a 2013 model. To be more precise Conner Avenue will begin the manufacturing of the new Viper in late 2012. Of course Current Chrysler Group will employ firstly the people who previously worked at Conner. And the balance of the positions will be filled by hourly employees volunteering to transfer to the Conner Avenue plant. The aim of the facility is to implement a World Class Manufacturing (WCM). This is a system that is focused on reducing waste and making continuous improvements throughout the assembly process to improve quality and productivity.

To go back in history, Viper production began at first in May 1992 at the New Mack Assembly Plant. Then in October 1995 it moved to the Conner Avenue site. What is interesting here is that all Vipers that rolled off the line were hand-built in a low-volume, modular process. Over the range of 15 years, Conner Avenue employees built about 12 vehicles a day for a total of 22,070 Vipers. On the other hand, the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant was built back in the distant 1966 and purchased by Chrysler in 1995. The production of Prowler began in May 1997 and finished in February 2002. Another interesting detail about the factory is that the Viper V-10 engine production was transferred from Mound Road Engine to Conner Assembly in May 2001. Next comes the year 2003, in which the newly engineered SRT10 Roadster hit the market. In 2005 the production of SRT10 Coupe followed. With a production run of 28,056, the Viper production ended on 2d of July 2010 and as an effect the facility was idled.

2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 Price – $47 995

2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 is priced at just $47 995. It comes with proven 6.4-liter (392-cubic inch) HEMI V8 engine delivering 470HP (351 kW) and 637Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque across a wide RPM range. Furthermore it returns up to 23 miles per gallon.

The new Grand Voyager is powered by a 2.8-litre CRD diesel engine with 161BHP (118 kW) at 3800RPM and 360Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque. 0 to 100 km/h in 12.8 seconds and a top speed of 185 km/h (115mph). Still, the car can return 33.6mpg (combined) fuel economy, and has a CO₂ figure of 222g/km.

Chrysler S Concepts at LX Festival

Chrysler has introduced three S concept cars at the Spring Festival of LXs in Irvine, California.

The first one is 300 S, which features a new grille, tinted headlights and a lip spoiler on the trunk. It also comes without chrome trim, but with nice alloys. The interior has slight changes and includes red leather upholstery with contrast stiching.

The second is 200 S Convertible, which gained a gloss black grille, also tinted headlights and enormous 18” alloy wheels. The interior boasts black leather upholstery and a superb audio system from Boston Acoustics.

Last, but not least is the Town & Country S concept, which includes a mesh grille, some silver accents and again leather upholstery. Like the last one comes as a standard for the S models.

However, all these cars will go in production in 2011 and the company will soon release more information about them.
