  • Liberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat Goes Green

Liberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat Front and Side ViewLiberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat might seem to you as a very common name if you follow our blog regularly. And it is common. We have seen a similar car a couple of months ago, which was the result of the joint work of Liberty Walk and SR Auto Group. Unlike the first white car, this example comes in toxic green exterior color and this and no other reason (like electric motor) makes the vehicle go green.

SEE ALSO: Liberty Walk and SR Auto Unite for Monstrous Dodge Challenger Hellcat

The pure raw American muscle car is basically another angry cat that has come out of SR Auto’s bag. The Canadian tuning specialists have given it a Liberty Walk wide body kit. And we must admit that it gives the Dodge menacing and fierce look.

Liberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat Rear and Side view

Just like the white Hellcat, the widened body was supported by Airrex air suspension system, which lowers the height of the Challenger significantly. The lowered ride height and the wider body proportions just screamed that they need new wheels.

So, the expert heard that and decided to install a set of forged three-piece PUR LG05 wheels with a matte black diamond face and polished step lip. With a compressor in the trunk, the lines run through to all four corners to increase and decrease pressure. Oh, and have we mentioned that the wheels measure 20-inches?

But there is still one problem. We can not decide which car we like better: the white one or the green one? What’s your choice?

We can also see that there are Satin Black finishes on the deck-lid spoiler and fuel-filler door, so they add a little bit more masculinity to the appearance.  The one-of-a-kind look of the car is rounded out by a “strobe” designed dual stripe that runs from nose-to-tail.

    Blacktop in the Cabin?

2016 Dodge Challenger Blacktop Front and Side View

  • Are you a fan of muscle-cars? 2015 Challenger Dream Giveaway has something for you then!

    2015 HellcatX Dodge Challenger SRT

History tends to repeat itself in various forms and various manners. This happens in the car-manufacturing world quite often too. One model inherits something from its predecessor and follows the path of progression of the first-born. Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat X is an example of such case where old automobile history reincarnates some of its aspect into a new automotive body.

It won’t be an exaggeration if we say that perhaps every muscle-car lover keeps a poster of the Hellcat X on their wall, dreaming of owning one such jewelry. Well, they should be more than delighted to find out that there is light in the tunnel. And no, it is not the approaching train. It is rather the light of a unique opportunity. Now 2015 Challenger Dream Giveaway® gives a chance to people to enter a competition and win a one-off prize package which includes precisely, the Dodge Challenger in question and the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T.

Inspired by the U.S. Aviation prototype XF6F Hellcat, the supercharged Dodge Challenger Hellcat X is loaded with a 2L HEMI engine that is capable of generating 805 HP. The car is built in honor of WWII pilots of Hellcat fighter aircraft. This one-of-a-kind supercar excites with accented front grille surround, center hood scoop, Navy-inspired raw-aluminum hood extractors, hand-made rear diffusor and, lastly, adaptable high-speed chin spoiler as well as deck lid spoiler. Inside the car exclusivity keeps running as the winner will find embroidered Hellcat X callouts on the front seat backs and on the floor mats.

The other beauty, 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, on the other hand dazzles with well-known high-performance features like a 440 Magnum V-8 engine, Pistol Grip four-speed, and a Supergrip limited-slip rear. Leaving the factory assembly line 45 years ago, the R/T had already established itself as a rare one. This Dodge Challenger was one of less than 100 black Challenger vehicles which adopted the 440 U-code/four-speed package. An interesting fact about it is that exactly this car was used in a TV commercial called “Revolution Reborn” which showcased “Dodge’s DNA of American exceptionalism then and now.”

Does this sound tempting to you? Well, do not hesitate then and enter the competition in order to get one of these unmatched cars.

  • Liberty Walk and SR Auto Unite for Monstrous Dodge Challenger Hellcat

Liberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat Front and Side View Liberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat. This is the answer to the question “What is common between United States, Canada and Japan?” You might also ask, what does Canada have to do with it. Well, this is actually the first Liberty Walk Hellcat unleashed in Vancouver by our fellows at SR Auto Group. In addition, they also added some extra detailing, that makes the muscle car look even more astonishing!

Just take a look at the pictures below! I am already in love with this car, looking so menacing, purposeful and at the same time carrying something from the spirit of the legendary Challenger. I also adore the Liberty Walk kit, which seems that fits perfectly to the Dodge. And have you spotted the wheels?

    Balance Between Old and New

Liberty Walk Dodge Challenger Hellcat Rear View

Continuing to the details here, basically the tuners at SR Auto added the front and rear fender flares from Liberty Walk’s kit. After doing this, something still didn’t feel right. And it was the height of the car. Actually, no Liberty Walk car would be complete without bringing it straight to the ground. This has happened with the help of Airrex Air System, which literally dropped the Dodge to the pavement.

At last, the experts added classy PUR LG01 wheels in gloss gold with polished step lip. They come in size of 20-inch at all four corners. And this is the element of the tuning which gives the car that good-old look we all love.

It is always nice to see such great projects, isn’t it? Only one thing makes me very sad. SR Auto didn’t say how much the car costs, so that I could start sparing some money.

  • Dodge Challenger Hellcat Arrives in Europe

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat can be already acquired in Europe and responsible for this are the specialists at GeigerCars.de. The most powerful production muscle car with 707 hp, which will also make prominent appearance in ‘Furious 7’, is showed here with some stylish tweaks which need some attention and can be seen in the gallery below.

An interesting fact, that is not so popular, is that the Hellcat 6.2-litre V8 unit under the hood of this Dodge is actually based on the larger displacement 6.4-litre, 492 hp engine. The latter we have seen powering the Challenger SRT 392. The difference here is that the first one includes a twin-screw supercharger, while the second is naturally-aspirated.

There is therefore no question where these 707 hp (567 kW) come from. The torque that we haven’t mentioned is measured at 881 Nm (650 lb-ft). This results in a 3.7 seconds acceleration time for the 0-100 km/h sprint and a V-max of 320 km/h.

Because the engine is that powerful it requires a huge quantity of cooling air. This is why the Challenger received this new nose with big intakes behind which are positioned four large intercoolers.

The impressive exterior paint finish of this particular car is complemented by aggressive matt black graphics. All of this is then mimicked in the ‘Slingshot’ wheels. They are black, multispoked and include and outer green strip. The size of the alloys is 9.5 x 20-inches while this of the tyres – 275/40R20. Oh, and do you notice the 390 mm two-piece Brembo brakes behind the wheels?

GeigerCars.de will offer all interested a huge variety of paint and trim options, while inside the choice is between Nappa leather with Alcantara and Laguna premium leather treatment. And if you already wonder about the price, it is 86,000 Euros which equals around $90,620 US Dollars. Although this is pretty impressive amount of money, we must admit that there is no other car on the European market with these powerful capabilities.

  • Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Achieves 22 mpg on the Highway

2015-Dodge-Challenger-SRT-THUMBIt is no secret that the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is the most powerful muscle car ever built. This is due to its 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine which produces 707 horsepower. In addition, the unit is mated to the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, which contributes towards the result of 22 miles per gallon for the highway fuel-economy rating, estimated from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Considering the price, output and highway fuel-economy ratings of cars like the Aventador Roadster (700 hp), Aston Marton Vanquish (576 hp) and Mercedes SLS AMG GT (583 hp), Challenger SRT Hellcat carves a special place for itself in the lofty world of high-performance driving.

The unique Hellcat engine benefits from content that is 91 percent new. It is engineered in-house and is designed for optimum durability. It features forged-steel crankshaft which have induction-hardened bearing surfaces, thus offering a capacity to withstand firing pressures of 1,595 psi (110 bar).

The premium-grade, heat-treated aluminum-alloy cylinder heads were improved for thermal conductivity. These are topped by a twin-screw 2,380-cc/rev supercharger which includes integral charge coolers and an integrated electronic bypass to regulate boost pressure to a maximum of 80 kPa (11.6 psi).

Furthermore, there is a separate low-temperature cooling circuit with two air/coolant heat exchangers that is integrated into the supercharger housing and that keeps air temperatures below 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius). At the same time it enables air flow of up to 30,000 liters per minute.

Next, Dodge‘s TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission has 30 percent greater maximum engine-torque capacity than any Chrysler eight-speed transmission. In addition, the  transmission features one additional pinion gear in each of the 1st and 3rd gear sets, and five more clutch-pack disks – two in clutch E and one each in clutches A, C and D. More importantly, what makes the gearbox so special is the 7.03 ratio spread. It enables the powerful HEMI Hellcat to operate in its most efficient mode.

When the Challenger SRT Hellcat is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission it achieves highway fuel-economy rating of 21 mpg. The sporty gearbox has an internal cooling pump and vehicle-mounted (external) oil cooler and its 258-mm heavy-duty clutch affords easy access to HEMI Hellcat’s exhilarating power.

  • Dodge Challenger A/T Untamed Concept: Muscle Car or an Off-Roader?

Dodge-Challenger-AT-Untamed-Concept-THUMBDodge Challenger A/T Untamed Concept combines two worlds: the one of the iconic American muscle car and the one of the off-road universe. This Challenger is sleek enough for the city nightlife and rough enough for the off-road landscape. It visual appearance looks extreme and because of this it catches the attention immediately. It looks “more muscle” than ever. Joey Ruiter, who is responsible for this incredible work, pushed the performance, power and capabilities of the iconic Dodge from the street to the dirt.He has customized almost everything – from body armor to racing seats, this ride is “ready for some serious use”. Precisely, the car has received new front long travel arms, rear trailing arm with links and body armor with rock sliders. The designer has also added new fender flares, front skid plate, integrated lower light bar and of course the distinctive A/T logo badge. But if you think that the customization stopped here, you might take into consideration the following body modifications, which include wheel well trimming, inner fender wall construction, exhaust tuck and reposition, off-road tool storage and spare tire truck mount. As one can see the muscle car form the outside has some graphic twin striping. Furthermore, being a true off-roader with some serious amount of power under the hood (just thinks about the Hellcat engine), the car needed more safety equipment. Unfortunately this project is only in a concept form, but we are impatient to see it become a reality very soon!
