    Caterham Cars has responded to healthy demand for its iconic Seven sportscar by increasing 2009 production levels by around ten percent. The makers of the classic two-seater have “above-forecast” growth from UK, mainland Europe and further afield, particularly now that its Ford Sigma and Duratec engine range, including the Caterham Superlight R300, has just achieved European Community Small Series Type Approval (ECSSTA).   • Caterham Cars at Autosport Show

    Caterham Cars will be attending the Autosport International Racing Car show at Birmingham’s NEC this weekend (January 10-11).

    BBC Top Gear’s ‘Car of the Year’, the Superlight R500, will take centre stage of the British manufacturer’s stand. The most extreme Seven spectacularly lapped the Top Gear test track fast enough to embarrass cars costing over ten times its price, and will flaunt its credentials at the show by having the all-time Top Gear leader board displayed next to it.   • Brand new Caterham Superlight R300 to return in 2009

    Caterham’s famous ‘Superlight’ family is now complete with the British manufacturer releasing details of a new generation of its Superlight R300.

    Following in the rear tyre tracks of the motorsport derived R400 and R500, the latest Seven punches from 0-to-60mph in 4.5 seconds courtesy of a new 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine, tuned by Caterham Powertrain (CPT) to deliver a responsive 175bhp. (more…)

  • Caterham RS Levante – Sold Out

    Caterham RS LevanteDespite the recent decline in car sales and consumer spending, all of the £115,000 plus Caterham-based Levante supercars scheduled for production have been sold.
