2017 Carbon Motors Lotus Elise Series IIOur fellow friends from Carbon Motors present us a rather special tuning project: Lotus Elise Series II with magnificent tweaks and additions. Definitely sexy and bold, this revised machine deserves our attention. And yours too. Believe us!

First of all, we must say that this project aims to enhance the original looks of the vehicle without the intention to change it. Something more, the engineering team has upgraded mainly the interior of the Elise – after all, even magicians of Carbon Motors’ league must admit that the exterior styling language of this vehicle is almost impeccable. Of course, nobody claims that the original cabin concept is any bad, but it is apparent that there were people that could offer a lot more in order to make it look even sexier.

Staying true to the popular slogan “do less and achieve more”, Carbon Motors team made a lot of changes. Or, more precisely, there were just a few changes and tweaks that tell a whole story of beauty, expression and elegance. You know what they say about artist’s soul, don’t you? It always seeks ways to express itself through the outside world.

So, what are the notable additions to this most beloved Elise? Well, the seats received a rather sexy coating: Carbon Motors team upholstered both of them with black leather, grey Alcantara and blended these both colors with neat contrast stitching. Of course, as it comes to a contemporary sports vehicle, using carbon-fiber is inevitable. There are fine lightweight pieces that cover the sills and dashboard vents. With doing so, the team not only contributed to this sweet sporty feeling, but also enhances the elegance of the whole design concept. We do know that usually “sporty” and “elegant” are not words that do hand by hand, but as it seems, Carbon Motors team thinks otherwise – they have showed the world that these two can go altogether to the top the tuning league!

  • Carbon Motors magically transforms the interior of the iconic Range Rover

Carbon Motors Range Rover Onyx Concept front view

Carbon Motors Range Rover Onyx Concept has the most exquisite interior so far

Carbon Motors are one of our favorite tuners to write about. Not only because they create exclusive one-off projects, but also because they are so diligent in their work, that we can not but only support them with all means. Their latest project involves a Range Rover, which has been already updated on the outside with a unique body kit, delivered by the UK specialists at ONYX.

By the way, the Range Rover, introduced in the 1970s, was named at the Musée du Louvre in Paris “an exemplary work of industrial design” and we can not argue with that. The vehicle has proven quickly that it is literally the ultimate machine for on-road aristocracy.

SEE ALSO: Mercedes G500 becomes a stylish icon handcrafted by Carbon Motors

Returning to the current topic, the here presented project is actually a masterful work of art when it comes to its interior. The designers and tuners at Carbon Motors made the cabin look contemporary, but still manage to keep the classiness of its shapes and forms.

Carbon Motors Range Rover Onyx Concept interior

Initially, they have made a custom design sketch (the last picture in the gallery), showing an entirely transformed look of the cabin. As a result, the interior is now a combination of special and expensive materials applied with a lot of craftsmanship.

To get into details, the seats are covered with bi-color leather in teak brown and black, contrasted by decorative brown stitching. In addition, the headliner and pillars come in black Alcantara and feature the same decorative stitching. To underlining the strong character of the Range Rover, Carbon Motors decided to coat all trim elements inside with carbon fiber and varnish with scratch resistant cover. Note that even the cup holder has been carbon-fiber coated.

  • Mercedes G500 becomes a stylish icon handcrafted by Carbon Motors

Carbon Motors Mercedes-Benz G500 W463 got thorough interior, exterior and engine upgrades

Carbon Motors is probably one of our favorite tuning companies and the reasons for this are many, but mostly because of the exceptional and worthy projects they make. This time under the spotlight is the iconic Mercedes G-Class, which has received substantial interior intervention, and some minor but noticeable exterior updates.

To start with some facts from the history, you might be unfamiliar with the fact that the G in the name of this model comes from the German word Geländewagen, which means “cross-country vehicle”… or simply an off-roader. It was firstly introduced back in 1970s as a military vehicle after an order from the Shah of Iran. Eventually the 4×4 model became a production one, becoming an extremely cherished machine by the automotive enthusiasts all over the planet. Reasonably, some regard it as a fashion icon, too.

But getting back on topic, the less interesting part, the exterior, has received suspension and engine upgrades, which were done with the help of the experts at MD Commerce. On the inside is where the magic has happened. When one steps in, he or she will be amazed by the thorough sophisticated modification.

    Carbon Motors Mercedes-Benz G500 W463 rear view

The experts at the Bulgarian tuning studio Carbon Motors dared to substitute all plastic elements of the G-class W463. Literally everything was handcrafted – from head to toes. What you can see in details on the images featured in the gallery is that the entire door covers, dashboard, central console were upholstered in black leather. For a little bit of contrast, hand stitching was added too. They have even further emphasized the interior through the black Alcantara upholstery for the pillars and headliner.

Turning on the engine, especially the one of the G-Class, might be deemed as noisy. For this reason, Carbon Motors fitted the 4×4 off-roader with noise and vibro-isolation. At last, for a more pleasurable ride, they have installed 500 watt hi-fi sound system.

  • Carbon Motors Releases Creative Interior Solution for the Iconic Mercedes E500

Carbon Motors Mercedes-Benz E500 W124 Front ViewThe latest project of the tuning experts at Carbon Motors is based on the Mercedes-Benz E500 W124, which was released in the distant 1990. The model is iconic for Mercedes because it was produced in close collaboration with Porsche and was actually hand-built by both brands. It features only four seats and the assembly of only one car took 18 days. Another interesting fact about the E500, is that it is driven by a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 engine that was derived from the 500 SL R129 roadster. The unit produces 322 hp (240 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque.

For its rough and clumsy looks combined with the powerful V8, the car was called by the press “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing”. Performance tests prove that since the E500 achieves 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 260 km/h.

Therefore such an emblematic car could only receive special attention, which in this particular case was focused on the interior.

Mercedes E500 and its Custom Interior

    Carbon Motors Mercedes-Benz E500 W124 Interior

Nothing else but handcraft work was involved in the making of the cabin. The fully customized interior includes an abundance of leather and carbon fiber, which you can view in details in the opulent gallery below.

Two-tone leather upholstery in blue and grey is used for the seats, while blue Alcantara is the main choice for the headliner. Blue leather was also used for the pillars and the dashboard. To keep the contrast, the latter also includes grey decorative stitching.

Carbon Motors has its name for a reason and it is the love that the tuning company has for carbon fiber. We can see a lot of the lightweight material featured in the cabin. For instance, all of the interior trim panels and stripes have been coated in premium carbon fiber. The same approach has been used for the steering wheel’s panels and for the… Nokia phone, too.

Well, that’s an unexpectedly cool project, isn’t it?

  • Chrysler PT Cruiser Gets One-Off Appeal by Carbon Motors

Carbon Motors Chrysler PT Cruiser Widebody Front and Side ViewThis is a Chrysler PT Cruiser but not a regular one. Introduced in 2001 the model was one of those rare cases when an automaker tries to mimic an old-school car. Successful or not, this particular car was a subject of a total transformation, received two instead of four doors, and one of the most luxurious cabins you might find in a the retro-styled compact cars PT Cruiser. Speaking of the interior, it was entirely modified by the experts of the Bulgarian tuning company Carbon Motors. As usual, their work surprises us with its craftsmanship and precision.

    PT Cruiser Widebody?

What does the ‘widebody’ word actually mean here? In the case of this PT Cruiser, it means that it has become more compact by halving the body and leaving it with two seats and doors. The space at the rear was utilized for the making of a trunk in a pick-up style. This of course has happened with the significant change of adding to the width 2 meters.

Making the car look really unique from the outside demanded a really cool and special interior that just tuning specialists like Carbon Motors could give it. Hence, they designed the cabin in such way that it perfectly matches the pick-up military style of the PT Cruiser.

In details. Literally all elements were changed, leaving no trace of the previous serial equipment. Precisely, the plastic elements were covered in leather, including the seats, dashboard, pillars and door trims. What is more, a new central console was created specifically for this project and styled in the vehicle’s bespoke design features.

Ironically, despite the camouflage foil used for the exterior, this widebody pick-up truck is hardly an undercover vehicle…
