  • 2012 Geneva Motor Show: Pagani Huayra Carbon Edition

    Pagani has exhibited the special Huayra Carbon Edition at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The bespoke model boats naked carbon fiber body. Furthermore, the interior is also from naked carbon fiber.

    It is powered by a 6.0 liter bi-turbo V12 with 710PS (522 kW) and 1000Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is mated to an XTRAC 7-speed sequential transmission. The overall weight of the original Huayra is 1 350 kg (2 975 lb), so probably few kilograms will be cut thanks to using carbon fiber in the interior. 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph).

    Pagani Huayra is designed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. It features four adjustable flaps, which can operate independently to improve downforce as needed. The sleek carbon fiber body incorporates gullwing doors and plenty of openings to for cooling the engine.

    The price for regular Huayra starts at €1 000 000, so we couldn’t imagine how much will cost this special edition.

  • TopCar Porsche Cayenne II Vantage Carbon Edition

    TopCar has released Porsche Cayenne Vantage 2 Carbon Edition. It is based on Porsche Cayenne II Turbo.

    The SUV is entirely reworked in order to get unique exterior and interior. Outside the vehicle boasts complete body kit including front and rear bumpers, fender flairs, a pair of side skirts, modified hood, roof spoiler and liftgate spoiler. Everything is finished in carbon fiber gray giving the big vehicle a unique aggressive look. The stance is further improved by lowering the vehicle and adding a new set of wheels fitted with low-profile tires.

    The interior is also staggering with the carbon fiber trim all over the place – door panels, steering wheel, gear lever, center console, dashboard, seats, etc. There is also a set of TopCar pedals.

    Last, but not least, Cayenne Vantage 2 Carbon Edition has some engine modifications – an ECU re-map, a new high-flow air filter, sport exhaust system. There is no data for the result, but originally the mighty 4.8 liter twin-turbo V8 has 500PS (368 kW) and accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds.

    The vehicle will be exhibited in Moscow from 16th to 19th December.

  • 2011 BMW M3 Carbon Edition

    BMW has announced a new special edition M3, which will be available only in China.2011 BMW M3 Carbon Edition will be limited to just 111 units, which will be sold at the biggest car market. The sports car features carbon fiber roof, BMW performance front GT splitters, hood inlets and a trunk mounted lip spoiler. Of course, all elements come in carbon fiber.The special edition M3 is finished in white pearl metallic paint with black stripes. A Carbon Edition logo and huge 19” Style 220 M3 wheels in matt black fitted with high performance tires complete the exterior look.The interior received carbon fiber element, too. The “Carbon Edition” logo is present as well as white leather for the arm rest, door panels and center console. The final touch is the carbon fiber patterned material for the headrests.The engine didn’t get any power boost, because it already has a lot of it – a 4.0 liter naturally aspirated hi revving V8 with 420PS and 400Nm of torque. It is mated to a Drivelogic 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) – electronically limited.2011 BMW M3 Carbon Edition is priced at 1.23 million yuan, which is around $189 000.
