  • The Stronger the Better: Meet VAETH Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

VAETH Mrcedes-Benz C63 AMGThis is VAETH Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. It has more power, better performance, enhanced looks. In other words it is absolutely adorable. With a stock horses up to 511 hp (376 kW), this car was lucky enough to get blessed by the V63S tuning kit that has it all. By all I mean the engine electronics, top speed unlocking and VAETH oil cooling installation.

After the V63S the four liters capacity of the powerful engine can boast up to 609 hp (448 kW) and 810 Nm (598 lb-ft) of torque. The Vmax has been too raised: from 300 to 320 kmph (from 186 to 199 mph). If this isn’t enough, VAETH can optimize your turbochargers and down pipe, releasing from 660 to 680 horsepower.

  • Posaidon with Two More Powerful Mercedes-AMGs

2015 Posaidon Mercedes-AMG GT Front and Side ViewPosaidon has just released not one but two incredible tunings of Mercedes C63 AMG and AMG GT models. There is one common thing about those two and it is that they are powered by the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The difference is in the nature of their lubrication. Precisely, the AMG GT has dry sump lubrication, while the other car utilizes a conventional wet sump system. Well, there is another thing in common and this is the direct re-programming delivered by Posaidon.

The standard output of the two-seater is 462 hp (340 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, while its more powerful S version produces 510 hp (375 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft). After the conversion, both cars are capable of 630 hp (463 kW) and 725 Nm (535 lb-ft) of torque and a 337 km/h top speed.

In addition, the standard numbers of the C63 AMG are as follow: 476 hp (350 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) and 510 hp (375 kW) and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) in the S form. After the ECU, they were changed to 610 hp (449 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. The top speed here is positioned at 328km/h.

The engine of the C-Class is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, while this of the AMG GT to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G dual-clutch transmission, which explains why the torque of the latter car is lower.

Furthermore, Posaidon engineers are currently working on additional updates for the M177 and M178 engines. For their improvement they will use new turbochargers, free-flow exhaust systems and other hardware changes. At last, for additional safety, the tuners offer speed camera warning system which is integrated within the factory navigation system.

  • Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe [render]

Here are two very original render images of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe. Both are created by the designer – Remco Meulendijk, who drew inspiration from the C-Class Sedan and its AMG variants.

The result is absolutely amazing and the C63 AMG Coupe boasts a redesigned front bumper,  ventilated front fenders and high-performance brake system including big discs and calipers. There are also huge black alloy wheels fitted with performance tires.

The model will be powered by a newly developed V8 twin-turbo 4.0 liter engine – 510HP (375 kW) and 650Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. It meets the EURO 6 regulations and has a dry weight of just 209 kg (460 lbs).

The power unit benefits from ultra-lightweight pistons and twin overhead camshafts. There are also flow-optimized cylinder heads with zirconium alloy for optimal temperature and thermal conductivity. The cylinder walls have been lined with a nano-slide coating in order to decrease friction. Because of that, there is no need for a conventional oil pan and a dry sump lubrication technology is used.

The new C63 AMG Coupe is expected to hit the market sometime in the middle of 2015. It will compete with the all-new BMW M4, which is currently the leader in its segment.

    Stay tuned!

  • Loewenstein Impress With LM63-700 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

Loewenstein-LM63-700-Mercedes-Benz-C63-AMG-shadowLoewenstein-LM63-700-Mercedes-Benz-C63-AMG-mediumIt’s not easy making a break in the aftermarket niche. It takes time and determination to build a good image. Only then will the majority of people will feel secure in handing in the keys to their prised stock-mobiles.

All that being said, we would like to wish good luck to the young, up-and-coming tuner house from Germany, Loewenstein Manufaktur. Here’s their latest creation which started off a as Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.

“457 hp”, they must have said, “not nearly good enough.”

Thus, we open the hood and find a Magnuson-Roots displacement compressor and a big intercooler. Both installed and deinstalled as easy as one, two, three. Plug a few cables in and you have yourself a 702 hp 6.2-liter V8 plant with 883 NM of torque itching to destroy the rear tires. It won’t though. “The engine capacity does not descend “uncontrolled” on the rear wheels, but unleashes rather more elegantly and comfortably thanks to a continuous and flat torque curve”. They say. If you, nevertheless, feel that the power is way too overwhelming, there’s an optional on/off button available that goes right on the center console.

Loewenstein have also provided their own prototype coilover kit and the fine tuning has been made with the help of ZF Sachs. For that extra something, there’s also an automatic limited slip differential available. An in-house high-performance braking system, on the other hand, gives you all the stopping power you need: 8-piston calipers and 380-mm disks at the front; and 4-piston calipers and 356-mm disks at the back.

    Visual treats:

Matt carbon external mirros, front spoiler back diffuser compile, what Loewenstein call, the “carbon-fiber exterior program”. At the back you also see the company’s own exhaust pipes peaking out – part of a system that employes an exhaust manifold with substitute primary catalytic converter pipes as well as a Loewenstein performance module.

Wheel choice varies between the 1-piece “Klassik” rims in sizes 8.5×19 and 9.5×19 with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in dimensions 235/35ZR19 and 265/30ZR19; and the 20-inch multi-piece “Rennsport” rims in sizes 8.5- and 10.5-inch. They wear even lower and wider Michelin Pilot Super Sports (front: 235/30ZR20, rear: 285/25/ZR20).

Inside, one finds a bi-color theme on the predominantly leather/Alcantara interior. There’s also aluminum for the pedals and carbon/aramid for the decorative strips here and there.

All in all, a very decent start for the guys Lowewenstein – a project that has surely gotten people talking.

The new C63 AMG will come with a newly developed 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 with around 460HP (338 kW). The engine will be mated to the well-known 7G-MCT SpeedShift automatic gearbox. 4Matic all-wheel drive is expected, too.

The normal 2014 C-Class will be exhibited for the first time at the 2014 North American International Auto Show.

The factory 6.2-liter V8 engine of the C63 AMG produces 457 horsepower (336 kW). Using air filter inserts from BMC as well as Milltek racing catalytic converters with pre-catalytic converter replacement pipe and a complete reprogramming of the engine software, SR performance professionals enhanced the power of this Mercedes-Benz up to 540 horsepower (397 kW) and the maximum torque to 665 Nm (490 lb-ft).

In addition, they have added Bilstein B16 PSS 10 coilover kit and a set of high grade and super light BBS CH-R wheels. The latter are in the format of 8.5×19 inches at the front, and 9.5×19 inches at the rear, and coupled with Continental Sport Contact 5 tires of the size 235/35R19 and 265/30 R19 for the front and rear respectively.

The optical tuning was done by FolienCenter-NRW. The car-wrapping experts endowed the bodywork with a perfectly worked complete wrapping in “Matt Bond Gold Metallic” from the PWF portfolio.

As a contrast to the gold wrapping, a glossy black foil was applied on the roof, roof luggage rails, the door handles and the shadow line optics. A classical black paint was utilized on the radiator cowling including the Mercedes star, the external mirrors and the covers around the fog lights.
