You must hurry with the Christmas presents if you haven’t already bought them, because the holidays are coming closer. And if in the city centre there’s not a parking space available, then BRABUS have the solution. They know a way around this: first – it has to be a late night shopping, and secondly – it has to be in 2014 BRABUS smart electric drive. We are not speaking mere talks, but this is exactly what happened at the Galleries Lafayette in Berlin, Germany.

Whether drawn by reindeer (in the case of Santa Claus) or in a normal car, finding a place to park, especially in a big capital city such as Berlin is always hard. And in fact, this is particularly challenging during winter holidays.

The driving range of the 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery is circa 145 kilometres in the city traffic. The advantage: there are no local emissions! This BRABUS smart fortwo electric drive is also available as a coupé and a cabrio, without the tuning of the famous company. However, it will be driven by a less potent 55 kW engine.

2014 BRABUS smart electric drive has a starting price of 18,910 euros.

2012 Brabus Smart 10th Anniversary Special Edition

In the not so distant 2002, Smart and the tuning company Brabus founded a joint company, and since then they have developed numerous premium models. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the alliance, they have created a unique and exclusively equipped “10th anniversary” special edition model.

2012 Brabus Smart 10th anniversary Special Edition will be limited to 100 units and will offer numerous exclusive highlights. The Smart is based on the current Smart Fortwo BRABUS production model with 75 kW (102 hp) and maximum torque of 147 Nm (200 lb-ft). It has a top speed of 155 km/h, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds.

To go further into details, the “10th anniversary” edition is painted in liquid silver. In details, the tridion safety cell, body panels including front grille and the door mirrors of the special edition model, the front spoiler and side skirts in the styling package, are painted in liquid silver.

Further exterior features include titanium-colored headlamps and red BRABUS logos at the front and rear. Additional exterior accents include titanium-colored headlamps and red BRABUS logos at the front and rear.

The interior is of course distinctively made as well. It is characterized by a black leather interior with high-quality hand stitching. The trim parts are painted in an exclusive red and the contrast components and seat console come in black.

The standard equipment of the new Brabus includes the comfort and light package, heated seats, electric power steering, LED daytime driving lights, audio and navigation system and BRABUS Monoblock VII alloy wheels in matt grey.

Smart Brabus GmbH is a joint venture between Smart and Brabus and stands for premium automotive enhancement. In the past ten years more than 50 000 lucky customers benefited from the vehicles produced by the cooperation of the both companies. In fact, 2011 was the most successful year up to date when more than 10 000 Smart Fortwos were customized by Brabus.

BRABUS ULTIMATE Electric Drive Smart ForTwo Convertible

BRABUS ULTIMATE electric drive is based on Smart ForTwo convertible. It will hit the market in spring 2012 with more power and better performance than its production brethren. Still, there are no exact figures for the ecofriendly city sports car.

Originally the electric drive vehicles has a less than thrilling sound and is particularly heard to hear for pedestrians and bicyclists alike. However, a BRABUS sound generator lends the ULTIMATE electric drive the sound of a V8 engine or space-age soundscapes whose volume is dependent on the position of the accelerator pedal. Great! First, we have to drive underpowered small electric cars and now we will make them to sound like a real car. No thanks!

The exterior comes in matte white and features BRABUS WIDESTAR fender flares front and back to make space for the large BRABUS Monoblock VI in dimensions 7J x 18” with 205/35 R 18 high-performance tires up front and 8.5J x 18” with 235/30 R 18 for the rear.

The wider track of the widened two-door car contributes to its agile and safe handling as does the height-adjustable coilover suspension.

The front spoiler reduces lift on the front axle and the WIDESTAR side skirts of the wide version create a visually and aerodynamically harmonious transition between the fender flares front and back.

The interior boasts all-leather upholstery including seats, door panels and dashboard. The white leather is sewn with the finest green thread. Green trim and green accessories in the cockpit add further contrasts.
