speedART SP81-R based on Porsche Boxster S

SpeedART has introduced their latest project based on the new Porsche Boxster S (981). The car comes with entire exterior restyling as well some performance modifications.
The engines can be boosted with up to 20HP and 20Nm by installing a complete sports exhaust system including new headers, sport katalysts and 2×100 mm twin- tailpipes.
The aerodynamics package includes frontspoiler lipp, rear wing, diffuser and side parts in Carbon. The car is finished in black-greenmetallic. It also features nice interior touches as well as an Alcantara-leather upholstery (on demand all colours and materlials available).
The car rolls a set of enormous 21” LSC-Forged alloy wheels fitted with ultra-low profile tires in order to fit in the arcs. If this is too much, the tuning company offers option for a set of 20” wheels.
The tuned Porsche is lowered thanks to a set of sport springs. No words about pricing.

Porsche Boxster Arrives in UK Showrooms
The Porsche Boxster hits the showrooms in the UK. Prices will start at £37,589 which means that it still will be the cheapest Porsche around and, because of it’s new profile, it will be more accessible as well. By accessible, I mean more appealing to men as well. Let’s be frank. Up until now, women have been the most common sight behind the wheel of a Boxster roadster. Some highlights: two flat-six engines with direct injection and a recalibrated chassis. It’s 35 kg lighter than the old one and has a 60 mm longer wheelbase (shorter overhangs nevertheless). The front and rear axles are wider and the tires on them are larger. Reports come in that the new Boxster S can lap the Nürburgring-Nordschleife in 7:58 minutes – that’s a 12 second improvement over the old one. Take that and the fact that the interior is partly inspired by the Carrera GT and you’ll get why I think it will be now more appealing to men – it’s more aggressive, sleek and quite frankly bad (in the good sense).
Aggressive and bad are also the drive trains. Fort the Boxster – a downsized (used to be 2.9) 2.7-liter horizontally opposed engine develops 265 hp. That’s 10 more from the old one. The Boxster S (from £45,384) gets 315 hp from it’s 3.4-liter engine. By default, both of these cars will come with a manual six-speed gear box. Optionally, you can get the seven-speed dual-clutch Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (if you can say this out loud, you get it complementary … not). If you opt for that however, plus the Sport Chrono package, the Porsche Boxster can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds while the Boxster S does that in 4.8 seconds. In return, with that setup, you get 36.7mpg, and CO2 emissions of 180g/km from the Boxster and 35.3mpg and 188g/km of CO2 from the S.
Standard equipment for the base Porsche includes in Alcantara interior, 18” alloy wheels, Auto stop/start and Sports mode, remote control hood operation, audio CD with 7-inch colour touch-screen control, a universal audio interface offering MP3 connectivity and a three year warranty.
The Boxster S has 19-inch instead of 18-inch wheels, “partial” leather interior and Bi-Xenon headlights.

2012 Porsche Boxster Price – £37 589
Porsche has revealed the price list for the new 2012 Boxster , which starts at “just” £37 589 and the price goes all the way up to £45 384 for the top-of-range S model. The new Boxster has completely different design, an all-new lightweight body, new flat-six engines with direct petrol injection, a completely revised chassis. All this promises a good ride, but something is missing…
The 2012 Boxster also has lower curb weight, a longer wheelbase, widened track and larger wheels, which means superb handling and up to 15% greater fuel efficiency.
The engine range includes a new 2.7 liter with 265PS (195 kW) and a 3.4 liter flat-six powering Boxster S with 315PS (232 kW). Both models feature a manual 6-speed gearbox as standard, with the 7-speed dual-clutch Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) available as an option. Fuel consumption for the Porsche Boxster with PDK is 36.7mpg, and 35.3mpg for the Boxster S. The performance is amazing – 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and 5.0 seconds flat for the S model.
To enhance the driving dynamics further, the Sport Chrono Package option is offered on the Boxster, featuring Dynamic Transmission Mounts for the first time. Also new in the Boxster is the option of Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with a mechanical rear limited slip differential.
The standard equipment includes an Alcantara interior, 18” alloy wheels, Auto stop/start and Sports mode, remote control hood operation, audio CD with 7-inch colour touch-screen control, a universal audio interface offering MP3 connectivity and a 3-year warranty.
The Boxster S adds 19” alloy wheels, partial leather interior and Bi-Xenon headlights.
On paper everything is just perfect, but the new style is not typical for Porsche, so many of the fans will not be so happy. Will the technology beat the spirit?

Porsche Boxster E
Recently, Porsche has introduced some very uncommon vehicles like Diesel powered Cayenne and Panamera as well as a hybrid powered car.Porsche Boxster E will feature both RWD and AWD with power coming from an electric motor. In true Porsche spirit, the roadster will be also suitable for time attack on the race track. The car was showcased at the Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Berlin, last week.
The AWD Porsche Boxster E will be powered by two electric motors with total output 245PS (180 kW) and a staggering 540Nm at a maximum engine speed – 12 000RPM. The performance is just great – 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and the top speed is limited to 200 km/h (124 mph).
The RWD Porsche Boxster E will have just one electric motor with 122 PS (90 kW) and 270Nm. 0 to 100 km/h takes 9.8 seconds and a top speed of 150 km/h (93 mph).
The electrically powered Porsche is completely silent, but the engineers have designed an Active Sound Design system that provides drivers with acoustic feedback as well as alerting pedestrians and other road users. Definitely a great idea!
The battery pack weighs a lot – 341 kg, so the overall weight of the car is 1600 kg. However, the capacity is 29 kWh, which is enough for a range of approximately 170 kilometres (107 miles). When the “juice” is over, the charging will take 9 hours.
