  • This is the Ultimate M5. G-Power Tunes it to crazy 740 HP

G-Power is a tuner famous for its admirations for BMW models. And specializing only in this single company’s products it has achieved heights that it is literally impossible for anyone else to follow it. Of course, we are speaking in terms of power, since this beautiful black M5 is capable of more than 740 horsepower (455 kW) and 975 Nm (717 lb-ft), delivering it via its tweaked 4.4 V8 bi-turbo engine.

This means that the car achieves the same performance level as the first versions of the legendary G-Power M5 and M6 HURRICANE cars that were equipped with the supercharged V10 engines. And if these numbers mean nothing to you, then you should know that the standard M55 generates “only” 560 hp/(412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft). Now this is impressive, isn’t it?

But how this gain in power has been achieved? The performance package here is called Bi-Tronik 5 V4. It comprises of an external performance module that has been based on a microprocessor, as well as a Titanium exhaust system with racing catalysts.

Then the Bi-Tronik 5 V4 was enhances by a G-Power V-MAX increase, which is actually a software optimization that adds some numbers to the top speed. The result is breathtaking: the V-max now stands at 350 km/h. All of these changes logically result in better performance figures. G-Power says that the enhanced BMW sprints from 0 to 200 km/h in only 10.5 seconds on its way to the new top speed.

Modifications have been implemented to the engine cover, which is now made from visual carbon fibre, and there is tuning company’s badge in its middle. The sound of the powerful unit now goes out from four titanium/carbon tail pipes. Then, the appropriate wheels were added, being namely the 21 inch G-Power HURRICANE RR, which were then shod with 255/30 ZR 21 and 295/25 ZR 21 Michelins.

All in all, this is another stunning tuning from G-Power that attracts a lot of attention. Great work guys!

  • Project Blue Deluge: iND BMW F10 M5 In Yas Marina Blue

iND-BMW-F10-M5-THUMBiND BMW F10 M5 comes in exquisite Yas Marina Blue exterior paint scheme and we must say it looks incredibly beautiful! IND made its own initial testing of the M5. The tests proved that this car is an incredibly competent track monster, and at the same time docile and polite street car. The staff at IND re-tooled the M5 project to what it is today: a street-driven, turn key test bed for all of the best components available for the F10 M5.

They have kept many of the original components: AMS downpipes, the larger AMS-built turbos, the KW 3 way adjustable ClubSport coilovers. One of the changes made include a raise in the height of the car for a more easy to use ground clearance.

In addition, they have reinstalled the original BMW interior and have removed the roll bar. After that, the tuners repainted the car in BMW’s amazing Yas Marina Blue finish. This led to the removal of this BMW’s racing livery inspired design.

What is more, this version of IND’s M5 also includes additions such as an RKP front lip and rear diffuser. This project is called Blue Deluge and is still in development. It aims to delivers what M5 is best at – a perfect performance at the race track on Saturday, while still taking the owner to the office on Monday.

  • Vorsteiner BMW F10 M5 In Singapore Gray

Vorsteiner-BMW-M5-VSE-003-THUMBAs usual the specialists at Vorsteiner have been very active and now have a new project to present. This time they have redesigned the significant BMW F10 M5 Series, which looks stunning even without a tuning. However, its appearance was pretty much improved and now this BMW looks even more aggressive.

To go directly to the details the M5 got a brand new carbon fiber aero front spoiler and aero rear diffuser, for more harmony. Then Vorsteiner decided this wasn’t enough and gave this BMW it special edition 21” Matte Black VSE-003 forged wheels.

Precisely, the wheels come in sizes 21×9.5J for the front and 21x11J for the rear. Of course, the tuners coupled them with appropriate Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres in the dimensions 265/30/21 and 295/25/21 for the front and rear, respectively.

At last but not least, the M5 was painted in Singapore Gray. This paint scheme will definitely make it stand out among the crowd. Each of the aforementioned parts has been modeled using a 3D scanner for perfect and exact accuracy. Pre-production sections were wind tested and formed for minimum drag coefficient and maximum effective downforce, reducing lift at the front axle.

In addition, every single segment was specifically designed in order to improve the appearance of this BMW but still seamlessly mesh into the existing bodywork. What is more, the Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber structure gives the parts better stiffness, aerospace strength and durability when compared to traditional hand laid carbon fiber elements.

  • BMW stops F10 M5 and F12 M6 deliveries – engine oil pump failure

As we know, the old BMW M5 (the E60 model) is one of the most unreliable vehicles on the market. It has a lot of problems with all kind of electrical features. Still, it was a great car.

The new M5 (the F10) and the new M6 (F12/F13) also have big problems and the manufacturer has stopped deliveries of these models, because of an engine oil pump issue. The company also issued a recall on the models produced from July 2012 until September 2012. If the pump driveshaft separates from the pump rotor, the engine will lose oil pressure and that will cause critical damage… usually entirely broken engine.

In the US around 696 units are affected by this recall, which is not too much. The repair is easy and takes about two hours. This includes replacing the engine oil pump with a brand new one. It will be made free of charge and it might take longer in some cases depending on the scheduling and processing of the repair center.

So, it is very important to mention that BMW states that the affected cars should not be driven, until the problem is solved. If the owner of an M5 or M6 does notice a sudden loss of oil pressure, the car should be stopped immediately as well as the engine.
