  • 2013 Volkswagen Lavida with a world debut

    2013-Volkswagen-Lavida-THUMB2013 Volkswagen Lavida is showcased for the first time at Auto China 2012. At the auto show it made its firs global appearance with its clean design and sharp body lines.

    The styling of this Volkswagen vehicle fully incorporates powerful, contemporary and sporty design philosophy. The Lavida is going to be offered in three engine versions and four equipment lines.

    The engine choices will be the 2.0-liter, 1.6-liter and a 1.4-liter turbo motor. The last one is able to develop 140 horsepower (103 kW).

    In addition, all versions of this model will come with a front-wheel drive. The transmition included will be either the manual six-speed gear-box or Volkswagen’s famous seven-speed dual-clutch system.

    In particular, the base version comes with standard safety features as ABS, ESP and front airbags. Of course, it also offers a timeless design, spaciousness and high-quality craftsmanship.

    However, additional details on specification, price lease or official launch of the new model, haven’t been yet released.

    More information is expected to come out prior to the launch of the 2013 Volkswagen Lavida, which will happen probably later this year.

  • 2013 Subaru Legacy unveiled at 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition

    2013-Subaru-Legacy-THUMB2013 Subaru Legacy has just been unveiled at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. What lies beyond this new model is the philosophy of “All performance enhancement”. This refers to improvement made regarding the design, fuel economy, drivability and safety.

    In addition to this Subaru Legacy comes with more extensive modifications, which are not only limited in to exterior and interior changes.

    The new Subaru model delivers more excitement in driving and more comfort for the passengers. In addition it is equipped with the new generation Horizontally-Opposed Boxer engine, thanks to which the fuel economy is improved.

    The exterior design of the vehicle conveys stability and confidant stance. This is probably due to the headlamps with the motif common with other Subaru vehicles and a hexagon grille.

    Other modifications were made on the vehicle’s height which was raised by 60 mm. In addition to this the front bumper, side spoiler and rear bumper were newly designed.

    All these original modifications in the exterior design of the legacy result in bolder look and powerful presence.

    The front and rear fender design now has massive wheel arches. For this reason the vehicle’s width was extended by 40mm.

    2013 Subaru Legacy sits on the new 18 inch-wheels, while the wheel arch designs embodies power running through the symmetrical All-Wheel drive. The high-quality of the car is further highlighted by the chrome parts which can be found on the side sill spoiler and rear bumper.

    Furthermore, the interior of the car now expresses luxury and comfort. The color of the center panel, front console and steering switch panel is now black-metal-like color. In addition, electronic parking brake and “SI-DRIVE” switches were relocated for better usability.

    The new Legacy is also environmentally “conscious”: the fuel efficiency it provides is now outstanding. This is due to the new generation Boxer engine, which combines the light and compact second-generation Lineartronic (CVT).

    Moreover, suspensions were also updated in order to refine the driving experience.

    In terms of safety features, the vehicle includes the additional bumper beam reinforcement and the knee airbag for a driver. There is also added the VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control) with new control system.

  • Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce China Limited Edition

    A new limited edition of Lamborghini Murcielago will be presented at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show. The name of the project is LP 670-4 SuperVeloce and it will be limited to not more than ten cars, which will be put on sale for sports cars collectors in China only. Furthermore Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera will be showcased on the Beijing auto show.

    “Automobili Lamborghini’s strong performance at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show and its launch of a special edition of the flagship Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce exclusively for the Chinese market underscore our unwavering commitment to China and the development of a super sports car culture here,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. “Last year, Automobili Lamborghini achieved 11 percent growth in China. At the beginning of this week on 20th of April, we have launched our seventh Automobili Lamborghini China dealership in Shenzhen. The inauguration of our eighth showroom in Xiamen will come soon. It is our pleasure that we can share our passion for Lamborghini with China’s super sports car drivers, collectors and fans.”

    LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is a little faster, lighter and more powerful than LP640. The engine is the same 6.5 liter V12, which now produces 670hp. The overall weight of the car is reduced with 100kg (220 lbs), so the Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 2.3 kg (5.1 lbs) per hp. On the track this means 3.2 second from zero to 100 km/h and top speed of 342 km/h.

    What a pity, that LP 670-4 wont reach European market.
