  • Can this ABT Audi S6 Beat the RS6 with its 550 HP?

ABT Audi S6 Front and Side ViewThe day begins very nice, not only because of the NSX information, but also because the specialists at ABT Sportsline just sent us a couple of photos and details on their latest project. This time they have worked on an Audi S6, thus giving it super-strengths and some minimal styling tweaks.

The best thing about this tuning is the added “New Generation” performance package, which puts the S6 very near to the RS6. As a result, this car produces 550 hp (404 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb0ft), instead of 450 hp (331 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). The maximum speed was also raised to 290 km/h. Nice, isn’t it? The good news here is that if you have an S7 you can get the same power package.

Hundred additional horses also mean that the car needs new rubbers in 21-inches of size which were of course mated with super cool wheels. The other styling features are the new fender inserts, exposed carbon mirror caps and carbon-made rear spoiler.

Moreover, there is an electronic ABT Level Control for the air suspension. It will perfectly position the wheels in their arches, while the lowered CoG will also help the S6 corner much better.

Although there aren’t any pictures of the interior, we believe ABT specialists when they say that it now includes entrance lights with their own start-stop button, floor and trunk mats with tuner’s logo and LED shifting lights in the steering wheel.

Well, does it sound plausible now that the Audi S6 can beat the RS6?

  • Moonlight Blue HRE Performance Wheels Audi S6

HRE-Wheels-Audi-S6-THUMBThe original Audi S6 (C7) which came out this year, ides under its hood a powerful V8 engine. The latter is a toned down S8 version. The unit is matched with a 7-speed S-tronic Double Clutch Gearbox.

This Audi power stands at 420 hp (309 kW) and the 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque and it is split cleverly through Audi’s impeccable quattro system. Now the professionals at HRE Wheels are making their version of the S6, equipping it with HRE FlowForm wheels.

This Moonlight Blue Audi S6 was factory produced with Carbon Atlas inlays, black leather interior and LED headlights, among other exclusive attributes. For this reason the tuners decided to make a single modification and add a 20″ set of HRE FlowForm wheels in Gloss Silver.

The wheels were matched accordingly with 255/35/20 Pirelli P Zero tires. According to HRE Wheels specialists this modification was enough in order to express the unique nature of this special car. In fact, they have realized that sometimes, less is more.

The result is that the phenomenal S6 now exudes individuality and in fact, it immediately stands among other vehicles.

  • MTM Audi S6 Finally Released

MTM-Audi-S6-THUMBMTM Audi S6 was announced as a project back in July 2012. Since then we were looking forward to this modification and wondering what exactly it would be like. Well, the time for waiting is over – the transformed Audi is already here!

MTM promises a boost of power at the touch of a button. The 420 hp (309 kW) from the Audi’s S6-C7 4.0 TFSI quattro engine weren’t enough for the specialist. Hence, they have added a power pack which when needed releases a tremendous thrust 555 horsepower (409 kW) and a torque of about 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) instead of the standard 550 Nm (406 lb-ft).

The key here however is that this boost happens only “when it is needed”. To achieve this MTM united the M-Cantronic with the V-Cantronic in one box and set up the control in the MMI practically at the touch of a button.

The result is that the speed is only available when one needs it- it is up to 290 km/h. In addition a four-pipe stainless steel exhaust system complements the powerful ensemble. Furthermore, there are some visual accents added. MTM supplied the Audi S6 with MTM-bimoto set of wheels.

Behind them there is a braking system which is designed in order to deliver braking comfort just like in the series model, but such braking power which is adapted to the engine and driving performance.

  • MTM Audi S6 Coming Soon

MTM-Audi-S6-thumbLong time no hear from the guys at MTM. Worry no more as they are currently working on an Audi S6 (C7) – a car that can set your pants on fire relaying solely on its stock 4.0 TFSI 420 hp engine.

At the moment, MTM are keeping it quiet about one of the tastiest intended feature for the S6 – the engine tweak (which can be anything from a minor ECU remapping to a “complete conversion of the engine unit“). The wheels here belong to the MTM Bimboto line and are keeping it light and stylish with a 9-spoke design and a “flawless” finish. We can also be certain about the F-Centronic air suspension and the 20 mm front and 30 mm back wheel spacers which coast 250 Euros all together.

The 2013 Audi S6 (C7) came out this year with a V8 (a toned down S8 version) under it’s hood and a 7-speed S-tronic Double Clutch Gearbox. It’s power stands at 420 hp and the 405 lb-ft of torque is split cleverly through Audi‘s impeccable quattro system.

Now here’s some pictures of the MTM S6:

  • America vs. Asia vs. Europe

Despite the hard financial circumstances some car manufacturers keep developing and releasing sports luxurious cars. The three cars in question here are: The 2009 Audi S6 coming from Europe, the 2011 Infinity M coming from Asia and the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V.

3 cars, 26 cylinders, more than 1300hp altogether and let the fun begin.

Being sports cars first of all, it is power on the first place. All three have lots of it, but the Cadillac has 121hp more than the Audi and 136 more than the Infinity. Being supercharged the Cadillac has the most torque as well – 551 NM.

Both the Audi and the Cadillac can be equipped with a six-speed automatic, while the Infinity offers a seven-speed transmission. If you are more conservative, the Cadillac is the only one to offer a manual gearbox – a 6-speed one.

Having such immense amount of power feels great and engineers were well aware of this. All three cars can benefit from at least 350mm rotors on the front wheels. The Audi has the largest brakes – 385mm and two-piston sliding calipers. The Cadillac’s are just 5mm smaller; the Infinity has 356mm rotors.

    America vs. Asia vs. Europe
    America vs. Asia vs. Europe

So it seems the Cadillac has it all in terms of driving experience. It lacks some other stuff though – No DVD player is to be found inside. Also, it is only sold as RWD, which is indeed fun, but AWD provides more stability and control especially if you have more than 400 hp.  Another small detail -it does not have a sunroof unlike the other two that have one as standard. At the cost of $62,360.00 the Cadillac is the second cheapest but mpg wise it is doing the worst of all three.

So which is the most fun to drive? The Cadillac is RWD, so maybe young people would prefer it, hence the supercharged Corvette engine and 556 hp. The Infinity is the only one offering 7 speeds meaning you always have enough power and torque to get your back firmly on the seat. The Audi has 2 cylinders more and offers the best picture under the bonnet, also its peak of torque is at the lowest RPM and the peak of power is at the highest. Also it costs 14-16k more than the other two.

Which is the fastest – definitely the Cadillac, considerably.

Which one is the most beautiful – the Infinity for sure slightly reminding of a Jaguar or a Maserati.

    What does the Audi lack?

    – A little more power to face the competition and let’s face it

    – Arguments to justify the 14k gap in price.
