  • SPEED-BUSTER team enhanced two lucky Audi machines. Check’em out!

2017 SPEED-BUSTER Audi S5 and RS5 Chiptuning SPEED-BUSTER team takes a closer look at Audi’s Biturbo machines. As we all know that these bad boys are extremely sexy and appealing and at the same time offer some massive amount of power and road agility. What the tuning team has done is as straightforward as fucntional as possible: both the RS5 and S5 receive comprehensive chip tuning that adds more to the pure power output of the power unit.

SPEED-BUSTER’s Chiptuning-Box pack is a special one in many ways: first, it utilizes vehicle’s parameters and capabilities, then it processes the data from the original Audi sensors to the original ECU. By doing so, the system adds significant amount of power: for the RS5 machine this means a leap from the stock 450hp (331kW) to 523hp (385kW) and additional 86Nm of torque for the final amount of 68Nm. Massive, isn’t it? For the S5 monster these parameters are 420hp (309kW) from the stock 354hp (260kW). Just enough to force the 3.0-liter TFSI power unit to unveil its full potential.

Additional beneficial goodie is the fuel efficiency optimization. It is hard to believe it, but this exclusive Chiptuning-Box works in full harmony with the comprehensive bi-turbo engine system. Thanks to the improvements and exclusive fine-tuning sessions, the engineering team has managed to reduce the fuel consumption with 1.0liter per 100kilometers. Sweet.

  • Vorsteiner Releases Exclusive Photo Shoot of Audi S5 V-FF 102

vorsteiner-audi-s5-v-ff-102Last week we have seen how Vorsteiner has tuned the Porsche 911 Carrera S and the Audi S4. This week the tuners set go beyond this and release the “mini” tuning of Audi S5. Although the tuners have only changed the wheels of this car, it most recent photo shoot is really worth the attention. Of course, you can view it in the gallery below.

The current imagery is set to promote Vorsteiner’s new V-FF 102 Flow Forged Wheels. As a matter of fact, these lightweight wheels were fitted specifically for the Audi S5. They come in company’s original Mercury Silver wheel finish.

The dimensions of the wheels at the four corners of the car are the same: 20×10 inches. This S5 is capable to use the deepest profile of our three concavities while utilizing a 275/30/20 Michelin Pilot Super Sports tire a bold fit.

Exactly a year ago, this Audi model was the winner in the 20th annual Ward’s 10 Best Engines competition. The S5 marks the 5thconsecutive win for the 3.0 TFSI V6 engine. It produces 333 horsepower (245 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque at 2,900 rpm.

The time for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 4.9 seconds and the top speed is of 250 km/h (155 mph). The fuel consumption in the city is measured at 10.7 liters per 100 km and 6.6 liters / 100 km on the highway and 8.1 liters / 100 km on combined cycle.

  • Audi S5 Sportback By Senner Tuning

Senner-Tuning-Audi-S5-Sportback-THUMBSenner Tuning Audi S5 Sportback is more than a high-performance coupé limousine. It carries a sportive gene and is craftily packaged in gorgeously formed bodywork. One can see that Senner Tuning endowed the S5 Sportback with an interesting optical and technical package. Firstly, the tuners added exclusive Work Schwert SC1 rims in chromium-silver finish as well as high-gloss anodized outer rims. The rims in front are in the size of 9×20 inches and include 91 millimeter-wide outer rims. They were fitted with with Continental Sport Contact 5P tires of the dimension 245/30R20.

At the rear, high-grade Work wheels were added of the size 10.5×20 inches and 100 millimeters outer rim. The tyres here measure 295/25R20. Next, the tuners mounted KW variation 3 coilover kit thus achieving optically impressive lowering with an adjustable rebound and compression damping.

The perfomrnace of this Audi was also improved. The overall power of the V6 compressor engine was enhanced from 333 hp (245 kW) to 446 horsepower (328 kW), while the torque – from 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) to 511 Nm (377 lb-ft). The optimization was made via an engine software. The top speed is now 300 km/h.

Furthermore, there was also added a power converter for the elimination of the electronic drag moment during throttle response. On the other hand the Injen Cold Air Intake system including power pipe – black edition, contributes for the improved ventilation of the drive unit.

Next, a specially manufactured valve-type sports exhaust system with a control system of the exhaust valves is regulated on the basis of load status-dynamic pressure. It also takes charge of processing the high-grade exhaust gases.

Senner Tuning has also supplied the vehicle with a radio remote control system. The latter facilitates the individual switching of the valve control system between three different modes: travel, sports, race. This basically means that driver is able to adjust the volume of the system individually.

  • More Gold For SR Auto Audi S5 Convertible

SR-Auto-Audi-S5-THUMBSR Auto Group has announced their latest project based on Audi S5 Convertible. The transformed sports car comes with improved styling, but retains the other characteristics regarding its performance.

Audi S5 Convertible comes originally with 3.0 liter V6 engine, which is capable of generating 333 horsepower (245 kW) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque. Within just 5.1 seconds the S5 can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h with no effort. But no figures can adequately describe the supreme free-reviving character, the spontaneous response, the continuous power build-up, or the thrilling sound of its engine.

The professionals at the tuning company have used this basis to give this Audi new and more impressive on road stance. Complementing its black exterior, they have decided to give a set of Monaco Gold PUR 4OUR wheels. To truly fill up those large wheel wells, they have fitted the S5 with a 20×11 square setup.

  • Senner Tuning Audi S5 3.0 TFSI Convertible – 435HP and 501Nm

Senner Tuning has announced their latest project based on Audi S5 3.0 TFSI Convertible. The sports car comes with improved performance and styling.

The exterior boasts an RS5 front grille, four-pipe sports exhaust system with valve control, new fog lamp covers, a new rear apron insert and mud guards. The stance is improved thanks to a set of Bilstein B16 coilover kit and a set of enormous 20” Work VS-XX matte black alloy wheels fitted with Continental Sport Contact 5P tires – 255/30 R20 front and 295/25 R20 rear.

Senner S5 Convertible is finished in nice glacier white metallic paint. The interior boasts glossy speedometer cover, RS5 sport pedals and a DVD system.

The 3.0 liter V6 received a full supercharger system boosting the power to 435HP (320 kW) and 501Nm (371 lb-ft). This is an increase of 102HP and 61Nm.

  • The Exclusive Vilner Audi S5

Vilner-Audi-S5-THUMBExtremely exclusive is the latest release of the exceptional tuning company Vilner. The tuners had just unveiled the astonishing work on their last project – Vilner Audi S5. And as we all expect – it is breathtaking!

Given that this Audi is powered by a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 engine, it generates 333 hp (245 kW) at 5500RPM and has 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque at just 2900RPM. Within just 5.1 seconds the S5 can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h. But no figures can adequately describe the supreme free-revving character, the spontaneous response, the continuous power build-up, or the thrilling sound of its engine.

However, the car got even better because of the aspiring tuning that the specialist from Vilner made. First of all they took care of the exterior and painted the vehicle in matt grey. All of the plastic and black details here are painted in Black Piano Varnish, including the alloy wheels.

But what inspires me the most, when I come across a new modification by Vilner, is the interior. Here it has been entirely changed. The designers used black and brown leather and brown Alcantara.

To go even further into details, in the upper part of the seats can be seen an actual diamond double stitching, which speaks for precision of the work and craftsmanship. The same impression leaves the steering wheel, which was additionally modified with complementary elements. Its airbag and rear end are wrapped up in Alcantara.

Furthermore, the middle part of the tunnel was intentionally left black to highlight and separate the two rear seats. The plastic side skirts and the seat are also dressed in Alcantara, and this delivers more comfort and convenience.

At last, the great attention paid to the detail here is seen on the upper part of the seats where embroidery with the initials of the owner can be seen. The handles, which originally were in matt black color, now are made in black piano varnish and deliver more luxurious experience.

  • Senner Rise the Stakes with an Audi S5 Coupe

Senner-Audi-S5-Coupe-thumbSenner-Audi-S5-Coupe-mediumSenner are now showcasing their latest work. An Audi S5 Coupe, refurbished in a way so that it suits the taste of a person who would normally breakfast, lunch and dine behind the wheel.

The looks then: A rear spoiler flap, a rear carbon fender skirt insert and a blind for the rear screen all combine to create an appealing street look. A bit more sophistication stems from the carbon fiber side skirts and carbon fiber mirror caps. A set of red Work Varianza T1S wheels measuring at 9 x 20 inch at the front and 10.5 x 20 inch at the back, offer perfect contrast to the overall whiteness of the S5. 245/30R20 and 295/25R20 tires respectively complete the picture. The final exterior touch on Senner‘s creation is the stance – a complete coilover kit from KW (Variant 3) with adjustable rebound and compression settings.

Under the hood, the aftermarket experts have also left their mark. The power is now up to 377 hp – 48 hp and 60 Nm more than you’d expect from the 3.0-liter V6 TFSI engine inside. A power converter for the electronic gas pedal offers better responsivness as a new performance filter ensures better breathing. A high-grade steel sport exhaust system ends up with four exhaust tips. With all that in mind, the S5‘s top speed now comes close to 300 km/h.

Inside, a classic black and red leather trim complete with carbon inserts. A carbon steering wheel with Race Ring from an Audi R8 sits in front of the driver and a set of light-up RS5 door handles adorn the sides.

  • Senner’s Audi S5 Coupe 2012

Senner-Audi-S5-Coupe-2012-thumbThis year, the Audi S5 Coupe roams the streets with a facelift… and a new engine coincidentally. The engine itself is not new new but it is a first in the S5 – The TFSI 3.0 liter V6 unit has been around for the Cabriolet and Sportback versions. Another techy addition that is not your typical facelift is a stop-start system for better fuel efficiency. Other than that, we have new bumpers, a new radiator grille, aluminum wing mirror caps and a different four-pipe exhaust system. Now, while the updated S5 is still hot, the German based Senner company is among the first to pump up the value.

The standard TFSI 3.0 liter V6 brings 329 hp – that’s only 20 hp less than the one found in the pre 2012 S5 models, the FSI 4.2 liter V8. Senner engineers however, have managed to eliminate that small gap. In fact, by being fitted with a power converter and some sports air filters, the TFSI gets further ahead with 377 hp and 500Nm of torque. The exhaust pipes now size up to 100 mm in diameter each, which helps the S5 reach a tone most desirable.

The car sits on a Variant 3 Inox Line-KW coilover suspension, fully adjustable when it comes to height, rebound and pressure. The suspension itself relies on a set of 8,5×20 inch Corniche Challenge wheels with red undercut trim, wrapped in Vredestein Wintrac Extreme 245/30R2090W. Kind of late for winter tires.

Inside, a steering wheel from the R8 had been lift off complete with its paddle shifters. Trough its nicely flat figure, one can glance at the carbon speedometer panel. A DVD system on the other hand will keep the passengers busy (the driver has some corners to bend, so he/she doesn’t need much multimedia).

The whole project is still in process so who knows what Senner might offer in the near future.

  • Audi Does It Again – 3.0 L TFSI V6 on Ward’s Top Ten List

This just in: Audi’s 3.0 L TFSI supercharged V6 engine appears on Ward’s 10 Best Engines 2012 list  for a third consecutive year. WardsAuto is an automotive technology watchdog which has been gathering data and conducting analysis of engineering advancements for 85 years now.

For Ward’s 2012 engine list, 36 “contenders” were probed for their power, technology, fuel economy, noise, vibration and harshness. Additional criteria required each engine to be in a regular-production U.S.-specification model on sale no later than first-quarter 2012 and that vehicle that carries the engine should not exceed 55 000$.

“With so many engines featuring gasoline direct-injection and forced induction, we’re pleased to have a list that is rich in technology,” says Drew Winter, editor-in-chief of WardsAuto World (the company’s monthly magazine). “Plus, every engine reinforces the idea that even fuel-efficient vehicles must be fun to drive.”

    Audi A7 Sportback (2011)
    Audi A7 Sportback (2011)

The TFSI provides 310 units of horsepower and the respectable 325 lb.-ft. of torque. Because of the all-aluminium structure of the engine and  four vane Roots-style supercharger, the TFSI is able to impersonate V8 behaviour while remaining an economical V6.

In 2012, you’ll be able to find the 3.0 TFSI in cars such as the 2012 A6 sedan, 2012 Audi A7, the Audi Q7 and also in the S4 and S5.
