  • Audi S3 in Five Exclusive Colors to be built in 25 Units Only

2015 Audi S3 Exclusive Editions are really special because the series will be limited in only 25 examples. The cars will be produced in five different colors, meaning that each color variant will be made in only five units. Audi Exclusive is going to build these incredibly colorful cars (just look at the pictures below) and they are going to be based on the extreme S3 edition.

Precisely, the five colors to be utilized in this project are Vegas Yellow, Glut Orange, Misano Red, Sepang Blue and Viper Green, and they have been featured in our gallery in this order. But the exterior paint scheme is not the only thing that is different about them.

SEE ALSO: 2016 Audi Q3 Compact Crossover on Sale in the United States

Inside, each and every one of them will get a special treatment that includes fine Nappa Leather Package that adds contrast stitching in the same shade as the exterior, body color inlays, extended leather pack with car’s color stitching, door armrests and knee pads.

In addition, the interior also gets exclusive leather controls, steering wheel and gear shift lever that are also given the body-color stitching. S Sport seats and 19-inch Performance wheels are also included in those cars.

Given the fact that the blue and red colors are actually standard in Audi’s line-up, it is logical that they will have a lower price in comparison to the other three custom models. The 25 special edition vehicles are going to be distributed only in the United States.

Audi revealed that the Misano Red and Sepang Blue can be acquired at a starting price of $57,250 USD. The other three variants, including the Vegas Yellow, Viper Green and Glut Orange will have a price tag of $59,900 USD.

Which one is your favorite? My personal choice is Viper Green.

  • MTM Squeezes Extra 60 HP From Audi S3 2.0 TFSI quattro

MTM-Audi-S3-2-0-TFSI-quattro-THUMBMTM tuning company is mainly famous with the power enhancements that it makes. Being German based, MTM is favoring mostly locally created vehicles. In fact, the philosophy of the tuners is not to leave a single car exiting their performance centre without being sportier and superior. Such is the case with its latest project which involves the Audi S3 2.0 TFSI quattro, be it a Cabriolet, Saloon or Sportback. The brand new 2.0-liter TFSI engine hidden under the aluminum hood of the Audi includes direct and indirect injection, clever thermal management and exhaust manifold integration.

The standard figures of the powertrain are 296 hp (218 kW) at 5,500 rpm and torque of 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) starting at 1,800 rpm. The unit is coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox. The S3 Saloon is capable of reaching the 100 km/h from standstill in 4.9 second. The MTM mechanics tweaked the engine and now it responds powerfully to the new engine management system.

Precisely the new numbers speak for themselves: the output has been raised up to 360 hp (265 kW), while the torque – up to 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). The result is a decrease in 0-100 km/h time sprint, which MTM unfortunately did not disclose. The top speed was increased up to 250 km/h.

Next, MTM added to the S3 new four-pipe stainless steel exhaust system that delivers sonorous sound. In addition, to decelerate the vehicle appropriately from 250 km/h, MTM installed brake system measuring 380×34 mm on the front axle.

There are several options of the wheels and rims for the S3: Nardo edition rims or Bimoto wheels. The dimensions are also selectable, starting from 8×18 inches to 9×20 inches. The customizations specialists have also considered MTM performance suspensions, which ensure sporty superior swagger. The adjustable coilover suspension systems included were developed in collaboration with the professionals at KW.

  • ABT Audi S3 Saloon – 370HP and 460Nm

ABT has revealed their latest project based on the recently introduced Audi S3 Saloon. It boasts upgraded engine and impressive exterior.

The 2.0 liter TFSI is boosted to 370HP (272 kW) and 460Nm (341 lb-ft) of torque – an increase of 70HP and 80Nm. This helps the S3 to achieve a top speed of 265 km/h (165 mph) and a staggering acceleration 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The result is thanks to a new sports exhaust system and an ECU re-map. There is also a complete cold air intake system including high-flow filter.

Other highlights include 20” DR alloy wheels fitted with performance tires. There are also 18” or 19” versions and the ER-C and CR wheels are also available. ABT fitted the sports saloon with new fender inserts made from high-quality ABS plastic. ABT integrated entrance lights, floor mats and air caps round off the package and raise the styling to a higher level.

And at full throttle, the S3 saloon will indeed resemble a rocket. “Lean back, accelerate and enjoy,” as ABT Sportsline CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt said.

Pricing for the upgrades is available upon request and all of them can be ordered separately.  The tuning specialists from Abt offer installation at additional cost.

  • Audi S3 Limousine By SR Performance

SR-Performance-Audi-S3-Limousine-THUMBSR Performance Audi S3 Limousine is a low attitude racer. It features a striking lowering modification through a special KW coilover kit. In addition, the kit also includes an adjustable suspension strut bearing on the front axle. For this massive lowering SR Performance just had to add huge wheels, that will harmonize with vehicles new appearance.

The 8.5×20-inch forged wheels in 10-spoke V-design were initially created for S3 bigger brother A6 4G, but they also fit perfectly here as well. Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires of the dimension 225/30R20 were then matched with the wheels. What is more, 5-millimeter spacing rings were additionally applied for the horizontal fitting.

Another exterior modification done here is the wrapping don over the roof which now shines in glittering black. The effect of the foiling is that the the hard “edge” was eliminated. SR Performance continued with modififactions regarding the performance of this Audi.

Precisely, the 2.0-liter turbo engine was given an MTM M-Cantronic performance boost and a BN pipes-downpipe and a 200-cell HJS catalyzer. The pipe of the exhaust system measures 85/76 millimeter in diameter.

The result is that the unit generates 380 horsepower (280 kW) and a maximum torque of 470 Nm (347 lb-ft). Just for a comparison, the production S3 delivers 300 hp (220 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft). What is left to mention is that SR Performance S3 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.6 seconds.

  • Audi Saloon Joins The S3 Quattro Family

    2014-Audi-S3-Saloon-shadow2014-Audi-S3-Saloon-medium

The Audi S3 Saloon – a yet another piece of the puzzle that that will see the formation of an S3 quartet. There’s the Audi S3 and the Audi S3 Sportback; the said Saloon; and an upcoming Cabriolet. Probably the best way to describe the S3 Saloon is by referring to it as a blend of ultimate subtlety and brutal force. It’s not that the S3 and S3 Sportback are too conspicuous, but one is a 3-door hatch and that always has a hint of youthfulness and sportiness and the other… well, it’s called the Sportback, despite being slightly bigger and with a couple more doors. The S3 Saloon, however, is just your average three-box design with a trunk big enough for mount Rushmore.

Considering all that civility, you’d be surprised by what hides underneath the aluminum hood. Its a brand new 2.0-liter TFSI engine with direct and indirect injection, clever thermal management and exhaust manifold integration. The result is 296 hp at 5,500 rpm and peak torque that starts from 1,800 rpm. With the optional S tronic twin-clutch transmission, the S3 Saloon is capable of a 4,9-second sprint from 0 to 62 mph. Yet, even in the engine bay, refinement has left its mark – there are two shafts that rotate twice with the speed of the crankshaft for the ideal balance, mpg goes as high as 40,9 and there’s barely any engine noise in the cabin.

The S3 is pretty slim as well. Keep in mind that we are talking about a 390-liter trunk space and a S3 Sportback sourced wheel-base that’s 35 mm longer than the A3’s. Then there’s the complex chassis which employs a MacPherson front and four-link rear S sports suspension, plus Audi’s magnetic drive. Add to that a multi-plate clutch-based quattro permanent all-wheel drive system and you are looking at a lot of engineers scathing their heads, wondering if all is made from paper. Yet, Audi has somehow pulled it off. With some extensive use of aluminum, the S3 Saloon’s weight stands at around 1,430 kg. What’s more, it’s well distributed with 59% of it going over the front axle and 41% over the rear.

Visual treats include the S3 Saloon S-specific single-frame grille and front bumper, aluminum-look exterior mirrors, pronounced side sills and a redesigned rear bumper incorporating a platinum gray diffuser and cut-outs for the exhaust system’s four oval tailpipes

Inside, there’s the host of high-tech gadgetry one would expect from a five-door Audi – drive select with comfort, auto, dynamic and efficiency settings all of which affect the throttle response, steering, the S-tronic’s shifting points, and the suspension. There are also “blank” settings for you to customize “within certain limits”. The flat-bottomed steering wheel is one of the more conspicuous things about the S3 Saloon. Again in true S quattro fashion, the dials on the instruments are gray and the needles white. There’s an information screen in the middle and a boost pressure indicator embedded in the rev counter. Dual-zone climate control, iPod connectivity, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth and SD card compatible navigation system all come as standard. As an option, there’s also the possibility to have 4G internet in it. Most people don’t even have that on their phones.

  • MTM’s Polo and Audi Lineup at The Essen Motor Show

    MTM-Audi-RS6-R-shadowMTM-Volkswagen-Polo-WRC-medium

From the 30th of November until December the 8th the city of Essen, Germany will become the venue of motoring nirvana. Mostly after market companies will be showcasing their crowning achievements amidst a swirl of classic cars, accessories, tools, racing cars, fuels, lubricants etc.

One of the stands on the Essen Motor Show will be taken up by MTM; and, wouldn’t you know it., we are talking about a yet another road-going Polo R WRC. It’s supposed to have 315 hp (just as much as the rally version) and do 0 to 60 in just above four seconds. In a bid to tame that power, MTM have bolted on their own 4-piston brakes and provided KW absorbers. The car sits on 8 x 18-inch Nardo wheels wearing 215/35 ContiSportContact 5 P tires. Oh, and if you don’t find that enough, they can amp the power up to 380 hp.

    MTM-Audi-RS6-R-medium

If such “feeble” is not your cup of tea, then move on to the next MTM item – 722 hp Audi RS6 R TFSI 4.0. Sounds ludicrous, but this monstrosity of a car is actually able to put all that power on the road. Its 0 to 60 is deemed insignificant, its 0 to 124 mph is quoted at just below 11 seconds. You’ll eventually hit the limiter at 211 mph. In order to cope with these forces, the MTM Audi RS6 has a few tricks up its sleeve. For starters there are the massive 295/35 ZR 20 Michelin Pilot Supersports. The front brakes are equipped with mtm-defined Brembo monoblovk six-piston callipers and 405 x 36 mm brake discs. As a final party piece, the RS6 employs a custom-made stainless steel exhaust system with flaps in the front and main silencer for those special guttural sounds that will make ears bleed all around.MTM-Audi-S3-BBS-XA-Wheels-medium

There will also be another Audi (MTMs S3) on the stand that will showcase exclusively BBS’s new “XA”-type wheel, with 235/35 ZR 19 Pilot Super Sport tyres – an appropriate complement to a car that can do 60 mph from a standstill in 4.9 seconds and reach 205 mph.

  • ABT 2013 Audi S3 – Speedy, Sporty and Sensual

ABT has presented their tuning package for the powerful Audi S3. The tuning company applied all their technical know-how and their concept of a sporty, dynamic roadworthy racer.

2013 Audi S3 is powered by a 2.0 liter TFSI with 300HP (221 kW) and 380Nm (281 lb-ft) of torque. 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). There is no information about the additional horsepower added by ABT Sportsline, but 0-100 km/h time dropped to 4.6 seconds and the top speed is 265 km/h (161 mph).

This makes for exciting trips on motorways and A-roads, while in the city – the rush hour, perhaps – it is dependable and gentle. “Utilisable fun, we call it,” commented Hans-Jurgen Abt.

ABT Audi S3 rides on DR or ER-C alloy wheels in sizes between 18” and 20” fitted with performance tires.

The discreetly extravagant look of this compact sports car is rounded off by fender inserts that additionally underscore this car’s dynamic character.

  • 2014 Audi S3 Sportback Revealed!

2014-Audi-S3-Sportback-THUMB2014 Audi S3 Sportback has just been unveiled and it comes with numerous new assets and positive attributes. First of all the four-cylinder engine in the S3 Sportback has been overhauled. The displacement of 1,984 cc is the same as this one with the predecessor of the model. In fact, this is the only similarity they have n common.

The engine can generate up to 221 kW (300 hp) at 5,500 rpm and has a maximum torque of 380 Nm (280.27 lb-ft), constantly available from 1,800 to 5,500 rpm. The unit responds immediately to the driver’s wishes and boasts a sportily sound.

Despite the powerful output, the 2.0 TFSI delivers great efficiency thanks to the new technologies in includes, ranging from dual injection through the Audi valvelift system and an exhaust manifold integrated within the cylinder head to innovative thermal management.

The unit can be mated to an optional six-speed S tronic transmission. In this case, the S3 Sportback sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in only 5.0 seconds. The six-speed manual transmission needs just five-tenths of a second more. Top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h (155.34 mph).

To go further into details, the 2.0 TFSI engine needs just 6.9 liters per 100 km (34.09 US mpg) on average when paired with the S tronic. This engine requires 1.5 liters per 100 km less compared to the previous S3 Sportback.

Furthermore, this Audi model is equipped with quattro permanent all-wheel drive. It also includes a redesigned multi-plate clutch and the front axle is 52 millimeters (2.05 in) farther forward compared to the previous model. The 2.0 TFSI is more than five kilograms (11.02 lb) lighter than the previous engine and is tilted backward by 12 degrees.

A new sophisticated suspension and S sport suspension lower the body by 25 millimeters (0.98 in). Additionally, given that the axle-load distribution (59% to 41%, front to rear) and new progressive steering are present, they consequently lead to better sports handling.

Next, in order to have prominent stance on the road, the new Audi S3 Sportback runs on 7.5 J x 18 wheels. In addition, the low rolling resistance of the 225/40-series tires helps reduce fuel consumption. The calipers of the large brakes, which measure 340 millimeters (13.39 in) in diameter up front, are painted black and bear S logos.

What is more, the 2014 S3 Sportback comes as a standard with Audi drive select, which is a system that handles characteristics of the electronic gas pedal, shift points of the optional S tronic and the steering ratio for progressive steering. There is a push-button, which helps the driver to specify whether these systems should operate in comfort, auto, dynamic or efficiency mode.

At last, the new lightweight construction of the model also contributes enormously to the dynamic performance of the Audi S3 Sportback. This five-door car has a curb weight of 1,445 kilograms (3,185.68 lb), which is exactly 70 kilograms (154.32 lb) less than the previous model.

  • Street legal Audi S3 – 8.84 seconds at 1/4 mile – 1000++ HP

Here is the world’s fastest street legal Audi prepared by “0-400 tune 2 race”.

The brutal S3 has an R32 turbocharged engine under the hood with over 1000HP (with words – one thousand).  The R32 engine is a 3.2 liter V6 producing originally 241HP and 320Nm of torque.

The turbocharger makes over 2.3 bar pressure, so as we may suggest everything in the engine is completely reworked.

It is very interesting that the gearbox is actually the original with only modified 3rd and 4th gear. The turbocharged S3 launches from 2nd gear, which explains the amazing 60ft time – 1.41 seconds.

The terminal speed of the monster is 259.36 km/h and the record is 8.844 seconds.
