  • MTM’s Polo and Audi Lineup at The Essen Motor Show

    MTM-Audi-RS6-R-shadowMTM-Volkswagen-Polo-WRC-medium

From the 30th of November until December the 8th the city of Essen, Germany will become the venue of motoring nirvana. Mostly after market companies will be showcasing their crowning achievements amidst a swirl of classic cars, accessories, tools, racing cars, fuels, lubricants etc.

One of the stands on the Essen Motor Show will be taken up by MTM; and, wouldn’t you know it., we are talking about a yet another road-going Polo R WRC. It’s supposed to have 315 hp (just as much as the rally version) and do 0 to 60 in just above four seconds. In a bid to tame that power, MTM have bolted on their own 4-piston brakes and provided KW absorbers. The car sits on 8 x 18-inch Nardo wheels wearing 215/35 ContiSportContact 5 P tires. Oh, and if you don’t find that enough, they can amp the power up to 380 hp.

    MTM-Audi-RS6-R-medium

If such “feeble” is not your cup of tea, then move on to the next MTM item – 722 hp Audi RS6 R TFSI 4.0. Sounds ludicrous, but this monstrosity of a car is actually able to put all that power on the road. Its 0 to 60 is deemed insignificant, its 0 to 124 mph is quoted at just below 11 seconds. You’ll eventually hit the limiter at 211 mph. In order to cope with these forces, the MTM Audi RS6 has a few tricks up its sleeve. For starters there are the massive 295/35 ZR 20 Michelin Pilot Supersports. The front brakes are equipped with mtm-defined Brembo monoblovk six-piston callipers and 405 x 36 mm brake discs. As a final party piece, the RS6 employs a custom-made stainless steel exhaust system with flaps in the front and main silencer for those special guttural sounds that will make ears bleed all around.MTM-Audi-S3-BBS-XA-Wheels-medium

There will also be another Audi (MTMs S3) on the stand that will showcase exclusively BBS’s new “XA”-type wheel, with 235/35 ZR 19 Pilot Super Sport tyres – an appropriate complement to a car that can do 60 mph from a standstill in 4.9 seconds and reach 205 mph.

  • EXCLUSIVE: Vilner Audi RS6

Vilner-Audi-RS6-THUMBAbsolutely exclusive for the readers of automobilesreview.com is the new hot tuning of the Bulgarian based specialists from Vilner. This time they are going to amaze us with their exceptional and sophisticated work on the Audi RS6.

Vilner Audi RS6 has everything that one wants to see in a car concerning its exterior as well as interior. Absolute craftsmanship and perfectionism grabs ones attention at first sight. The exterior immediately strikes with its provocative color – an effect achieved through a green mate wrapping.

What is more, one is also captured by the alloy wheels, which are in Black Piano Varnish and include green edge that continues the theme of the wrapping. At last, it must be also mentioned that they have supplied the Audi with new grilles and diffuser – of course all made from Carbon Fibre, which contribute to the improved aerodynamism of the RS6.

But the true masterpiece of the work of Vilner can be seen throughout the interior. The ceiling, the door panels, the steering wheel and the gearshift were all carefully wrapped with Alcantara. This undoubtedly contributes to more comfortable feeling of the occupants of the coupe. Adding to it are the seats, which were “dressed” in Nappa.

It is completely obvious that a lot of attention has been put to the details here. The green stitching on the seats for example not only continues the design philosophy of the exterior, but also contributes towards more luxurious driving experience. In addition, what rounds off the modification of the interior are the seat belts, which were changed with such that “shine” in the same challenging color of the exterior wrapping.

On the other hand the RS6 does not need anything in terms of power enhancements or any engine modifications. Thanks to its V10 unit, it produces the staggering 580 horsepower which are equivalent to 426 kW. In addition it has 650 Nm (479.42 lb-ft) of torque, which adds further to its powerful road presence.

Some impressive data here is that the car reaches 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds on its way to the top speed of 280 km/h (174 mph). This Audi model definitely delivers supreme dynamism that makes no compromise in its qualities, and now its aggressive stance is magically amplified, thanks to this exquisite work of the professionals from Vilner.

  • Fostla Wrappings Audi RS6R MTM

Fostla-Wrapping-Audi-RS6-thumbAn Audi RS6 Avant that has been touched by the skillful hand of MTM and then wrapped around with foil (increasingly popular these days) by Fostla.

By boosting the power up to 759 hp and 912 Nm of torque, MTM have created a significant distance from the “standard” RS6 which has “only” 571 hp and 650 Nm of torque coming from it’s 5.0-liter V10 FSI Turbo (Gallardoesque) engine. That’s why this one is actually called the Audi RS6…R. Anyway. Other non-stock features include the valve controlled exhaust system, the sports catalysts, RS5 9×20 ET29 rims equipped with 275/35R20 tires and a body kit comprising of a front lip spoiler and a rear diffuser. The end product is good for a top speed of 348 km/h – enough to peel the paint off.

But, what is actually on the surface of the body is foil. An anodized matt blue metallic PWF… something to be more exact. It’s been made by Fostla Wrappings and costs 2,500 Euros ($3,149). I know, but you also get tinting of the head and tail-lights. Still not buying it? Me neither.

  • Schmidt Revolution Audi RS6

Schmidt Revolution introduced their tuning program for Audi RS6 (C6).

    The powerful touring car comes with astonishing 5.0 liter twin-turbocharged V10 with 580PS (426 kW) and 650Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 12.7 s and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) – electronically limited.

However, the tuning specialists from Schmidt Revolution consider these times slow, so they bumped the engine up to whopping 700PS (515 kW) and 790Nm (583 lb-ft), which is an increase of 120PS and 140Nm. The acceleration is not mentioned although it will be a lot faster, especially the 0-200 km/h, but the top speed is approximately 330 km/h (205 mph).

The upgrades don’t stop here and the tuned RS6 also boasts a set of new 10J x 22” CC LINE light alloy wheels with polished external bed. They are wrapped in 265/30 ZR22 tires all around.
