The exterior design demonstrates these well-known lines of RS lineup. And yes, this includes the neatly-styled bumpers, large air intakes and heavily profiled diffuser insert at the rear. Also, RS Q3’s looks are a bit different from these of the classical RS Q3, thanks to the matt titanium-look details, SIngleframe grille, lateral flaps in the air inlets, exterior mirror housing, roof rails, upper edge of the diffuser and many more. And let’s not forget the distinctive 20-inch “performance exclusive” alloys with matt titanium finish that complements the exterior detail and the red calipers with RS logo.

The fury mentioned above is indeed a 2.5-liter TFSI unit, recently crowned as “International Engine of the Year”. It is known for incredible cooling capacity and heavily upgraded fuel pump. This configuration contributes to a peak torque of 465Nm between 1,625 and 5,500 rpm and allows the machine to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in just 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 300km/h (167mph). And with the seven-speed S tronic gearbox with tight ratios, this vehicle surely has a lot to demonstrate. The RS Q3 also offers and fine-tuned suspension that lowers the body with a total of 20mm, compared to the standard Q3. This tweak, along with the damper control system allow smooth ride in any given situation. And provided that the system allows a total of three driving modes (Comfort, Auto and Dynamics), customers and potential buyers shouldn’t worry about comfort issues.

  • ABT Sportsline and the 410HP Strong Audi RS Q3

ABT Sportsline Audi RS Q3 Side ViewThis is probably if not the latest project the one before that from ABT Sportsline for this year… and we love it. It is based on a car with an engine which has been announced as “International Engine of the Year” and therefore it sets very high expectations. The stock output of this unit is rated at 340 hp (250 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.  And it is very intriguing to see what the ABT experts have done over this good basis.

The awarded engine, the 2.5 TFSI, got ABT Power “New Generation“, which is tuning company’s high-end performance upgrade with its own separate control unit and software. In this way, the RS Q3 received significantly more power, 410 hp (301 kW) and a torque 530 Nm (390 lb-ft).

Other additional goodies here include height adjustable suspension kit with a flexibly lowered suspension. It brings the Audi closer to the ground by 15 to 45mm. But the beautiful white car is not only lowered, but it is also widened with the help of in-house made ABT wheel spacers of size of 4×15 or 4x25mm.

The width is emphasized via huge 21-inch wheels, which come in contrasting mystic black finish. ABT Sportsline also offers additional styling enhancements like the mirror caps and various deco films and red-and-black stripes for the “hips”.

The true emphasis here is the rear skirt, which is made of high-quality PU-RIM. It also features serpentine ornamental grid. The styling set also comprises of stainless-steel muffler system with four 89mm black tail pipes. They are impressive not only because of their looks, but because of their sound, too.

  • The New Audi Q3 and Audi RS Q3 – Better Than Ever

Well, that was impressively quick. Only 20 months after its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Audi has presented its RS Q3 crossover with some very good styling improvements (interiorly and exteriorly), increased equipment levels and, finally, a better engine range. The face-lifted Audi Q3 does not run behind and has also been tweaked visually.

As it seems, this time Audi’s team has set a goal to make as many styling, efficiency, safety, equipment and power adjustments as possible in order to accomplish highly successful results. With the new productive redesigns the vehicles become even more distinctive. The Q3 now comes with the 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine with Cylinder-on-Demand technology, which has originally been used in the A1 and A3 hatchbacks. The front-wheel-driven Q3 1.4 TFSI can now scamper to 0-62mph in 8.9 seconds (S tronic). This engine comes with either a six-speed manual or a twin-clutch S-tronic automatic gearbox. Nevertheless, the two versions are capable of 50.4mpg and 47.9mpg.

As for the Audi RS Q3, it is powered by an imposing 2.5-litre five-cylinder TFSI engine which produces boosted 340 HP and torque of 450 Nm (it has jumped from 309 pound-feet to 332 lb-ft). This extra boost lowers the initial sprint time of 5.5 seconds. As a result, the RS Q3 is enabled to accelerate to 63 miles per hour in the screaming 4.8 seconds.

There are also two more diesel engines both of which deliver more power. They have outputs of 150PS (the old one being 140PS) and 184PS, up from 177PS. The 2.0-litre TDI SE with 150PS, manual transmission and 17-inch alloy wheels is the efficiency standard bearer in the TDI camp. It shaves 18g/km from its CO2 rating, and offers official fuel economy of up to 61.4mpg and emissions of only 119g/km.

In relation to its exterior look, the Audi RS Q3 demonstrates idealness with its high-gloss black honeycomb front grille and RS bumpers. It is also given a special front treatment including a quattro emblem in the air intake and a unique rear diffuser insert flanked by a large elliptical tailpipe. To add up to the simple but stylish look, there are also roof rails in matt aluminum, roof spoiler, special door sill plates and door trim strips. Inside, the sports seats are upholstered in Fine Nappa leather with contrast stitching.

Audi Q3, on the other hand, has LED headlights, new five-spoke design 18-inch alloy wheels and exterior enhancements. Inside the S line upgrade is comprised of cloth and leather combination upholstery for the sports seats and the option to specify S line sports suspension in place of the standard set-up at no cost.

  • MTM Audi RS Q3 2.5 TFSI quattro

MTM-Audi-RS-Q3-THUMBMTM Audi RS Q3 2.5 TFSI quattro has nothing to do with the original Audi Q3. The latter was more similar to a good family car then a sports one like this MTM creation. It is equipped with powerful engine is setting new standards. The reason for this is that it can produce 410 hp (302 kW) and 570 Nm (421 lb-ft) of torque. These numbers are due to the new modified engine management system – the M-Cantronic for the RS Q3 2.5 TFSI quattro, was specifically developed, built and installed at MTM.

Precisely, it is capable of 4.3 seconds acceleration time for the 0-100 km/h sprint. The top speed was also uprated and it is now 270 km/h. The M-Cantronic performs all it magic at the front end, which in turn has been optimized by an exhaust system tuned to the five-cylinder engine. There has been also added carbon fibre rear diffuser.

The front axle also includes drilled and internally ventilated 380 x 34 mm MTM brakes. The rear axle is served by the tried and tested production system. Furthermore, the appearance of MTM‘s latest creation is improved by Michelin tyres: the 275/35 R 20 Pilot Super Sport.

They were fitted onto the 9X20″ Bimoto wheels, and generously fil the wheel arches. At last, adaptive MTM chassis package gives the right balance between performance and comfort.

  • Audi RS Q3 SUV With World Debut At Geneva Motor Show

Audi-RS-Q3-SUV-THUMBAudi-RS-Q3-SUV-651Audi RS Q3 will be one of the main stars at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. In addition, it will be the first ever Audi SUV to be handed over to the specialists at quattro GmbH for full, no-holds-barred RS transformation.

At the core of this RS pioneer is the 2.5-litre TFSI engine mated to a seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission. It has a 2,480 cc of engine displacement thanks to which the SUV generates 310 hp (228 kW) peak at between 5,200 and 6,700 rpm, and maximum torque of 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) between 1,500 and 5,200 rpm .

This means that the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in only 5.5 seconds. The top speed here is electronically limited to 155mph. The five-cylinder engine is also complemented by a standard start-stop system which contributes to fuel economy. In fact Audi RS Q3 has up to 32.1mpg combined cycle test, equating to CO2 output of 206 g/km.

As a standard here comes the Audi drive select adaptive dynamics system. It can influence the flap control for the exhaust system and the accelerator characteristic. It also offers auto, comfort and dynamic modes.

What is more the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system is also featured, in this case the version based on an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch positioned on the rear axle. The system provides swift and proportionate distribution of torque between the front and rear axles for optimum power management in all weathers.

In addition, there is a specially tailored electronic stabilisation control (ESC). An electromechanical parking brake and hill hold assist are also standard.

What is also very impressive about the RS Q3 is the RS-specific body detailing, including a high-gloss black honeycomb front grille and RS bumpers, the front treatment including a quattro emblem in the air intake and the rear a distinctive diffuser and large elliptical tailpipes.

Furthermore, a roof spoiler, roof rails in matt aluminium and special door sill plates and door trim strips also add to the impressive visual stance. This Audi model has a 4,410 mm length, and it weigh circa 1,730 kg.

The RS accents can also be seen inside the car. The instrument cluster has grey gauges with white scales and red needles. Contrasting stitching in rock grey trims the three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with its flat bottom as well as the gear selector lever.

Black headlining is apparent on all standard models, but there is lunar silver headlining as an option. The contrast is made by the pedals and foot support which are finished in bright aluminium.

Next, the luggage area has a base capacity of 356 litres. It can be enhanced up to 1,261 litres by folding down the split rear seat backs.

RS Q3 comes equipped with wide range of innovative technologies: navigation system, MMI Navigation plus, BOSE surround sound system driving 14 loudspeakers, Audi connect that brings the Internet to the car. Highly advanced driver assistance systems can also be incorporated.
