Audi A5, A4 and A4 Avant TDI Go Ultra

The range of exclusive Audi ultra models is expanding with the addition of the A4 Saloon and Avant as well as the A5 Coupe. These cars offer significant CO2 output by delivering only 109g/km.

Two TDI engines are powering the vehicles. They both share a power output of 163 hp (120 kW) and works with a highly efficient Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system that removes nitrogen oxides from the exhaust.

The peak torque here is rated at 400Nm (295 lb-ft), while the acceleration from rest to 100 km/h for the six-speed manual-equipped A5 TDI ultra is 8.3 seconds. The Vmax stands at 140mph. The same performance data also applies to the new A4 2.0 TDI ultra. However, the A4 Avant is covers the acceleration sprint for only 8.6 seconds, and has a top speed of 134mph.

Furthermore, the A5 ultra Coupe models are exclusively offered in the SE form, while the A4 and A4 Avant versions can be upgraded to SE specification. The latter adds to the standard equipment the following: 17-inch alloy wheels, an Audi Concert CD audio system incorporating DAB digital radio and linked to a 6.5-inch colour monitor, light and rain sensors, rear parking sensors and electronic climate control.

Inside, the A5 SE and A4 SE also feature Milano leather upholstery, while the A4 models also get additional features such as hard disk-based MMI Navigation plus, Audi Music Interface (AMI) iPod connection and the Audi Parking System Plus with front and rear sensors.

It is also important to mention that the cars are equipped as standard with lowered sports suspension, which reduces drag and maximizes fuel efficiency. Later this year, the ultra specification will become available also for the five-door A5 Sportback.

Audi To Build 50 Camouflaged Jon Olsson Editions [VIDEO]

Two weeks ago we have introduced to you an exclusive vehicle, which is driven by one of the world’s top free-ride skiers. And if you have already guessed it, we are speaking about Jon Olsson and his incredibly charming Audi RS6 Avant.

Obviously, after the reveal of the vehicle there was a demand by customers to make the car limited edition production model, and so did Audi do. However, not in the form of RS6 Avant, but in Audi A4 Avant Quattro’s form.

The full name of the car is Jon Olsson Audi A4 Avant Quattro Camo Edition and of course it will come camouflaged as its sibling. The vehicle will be produced in only 50 examples and will be equipped with A4 Avant’s 2.0 TDi engine. The latter generates produces 177 horsepower (130 kW).

To go further into details, Jon Olsson Camo Edition will include cruise control, trip computer, multifunction sports steering wheel, Radio Concert, Audi sound system, Bluetooth, sport seats, Xenon plus lights. Other highlights in this limited edition are the 18 inch alloy wheel, S Line exterior package, 19 inch aluminium wheel tires, roofbox, load frames, stripe, hitch and sports suspension.

2012 Audi A4 1.8 TFSI 120PS Price – £24 000

Audi has priced the all-new 2012 A4 for the UK. The A4 range are already available and the prices start at under £24 000.

2012 Audi A4 has entirely new exterior boasting a new front fascia with modified grille, new headlights and restyled front hood. At the rear, there are a new diffuser, a pair of new taillights and a dual exhaust system. The sport package – S line includes lowered suspension and 18” alloy wheels and an option for 19”.

The interior is also revised and now comes with selection of new steering wheels with chrome and high-gloss inlays. The steering arm and the ignition key have been also modified. There are high-gloss applications and some chrome trim at the controls. The MMI Navigation Plus is further revised as well as the automatic transmission, the efficient air conditioning systems, Audi drive select and the multifunction steering wheel.

The engine range includes six diesel and four petrol power units.

The diesel range includes a 2.0 liter TDI with either 136PS (100 kW) or 163PS (120 kW). There are also options for 120PS (88 kW), 143PS (105 kW) and 177PS (130 kW). The V6 3.0 TDI has either 204PS (150 kW) or 245PS (180kW). All engines come with improved fuel efficiency ranging from 4.2 liters to 4.8 liters of fuel per 100 km.

The petrol variants are a new 1.8 liter TFSI with 170PS (125 kW) and 320Nm (236 lb-ft), a 1.8 TFSI with 120PS (88 kW) and a 2.0 liter TFSI with 211PS (155 kW). The mighty 3.0 liter petrol has 272PS (200 kW). The average consumption in the A4 Sedan is limited to 5.6 liters per 100 km.

The top-of-range S4 has supercharged 3.0-liter TFSI V6 with 333 PS (245 kW) and 440Nm (324 lb-ft). The performance is superb – 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds flat and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Furthermore, it need just 8.0 litres per 100 km.

New generation Saloon and Avant versions of the accomplished A4 premium compact executive Saloon, Avant and allroad quattro models combine an even more sharply tailored look and an expanded line-up of engines bringing economy gains of up to 21 per cent. Due in March 2012, the new generation A4 ranges will be priced from just under £24 000.

2012 Audi A4

Audi has officially introduced the new 2012 A4 facelift including A4 Sedan, the A4 Avant, the A4 Allroad Quattro and the S4.

The car comes with completely new exterior featuring a new front fascia with a new grille, new headlights and different front hood. Out back, there is a new diffuser, new taillights and a dual exhaust system. The sport package – S line comes with a lowered suspension and 18” alloy wheels as you may order 19”.

The modifications have changed the dimensions only by a few millimeters. The A4 Sedan and the Avant each have a length of 4 700 mm, while the A4 allroad quattro and the S4 are 4 720 mm long. The wheelbases for all models are 2 810 mm, and the width is 1 830 mm and 1 840 mm, respectively. The height varies between 1 410 mm and 1 500 mm depending on the body version.

There is a selection of 15 paint finishes, including four new tones. The Sedan and the Avant offer the S line exterior package, while the Avant also includes a roof spoiler.

The interior boasts a selection of new steering wheels with chrome and high-gloss inlays. The steering arm and the ignition key have been modified. High-gloss applications and the slender chrome trim at the controls add elegance to the interior. There are also some changes to the MMI Navigation Plus. Improvements are made to the automatic transmission, the efficient air conditioning systems, Audi drive select and the multifunction steering wheel. The seat heating and air conditioning are now directly operated at the respective buttons. The interior of the S line sport package comes in black, refined with high-quality applications.

The engine range includes 2.0 liter TDI with either 136PS (100 kW) or 163PS (120 kW). In addition, three other four-cylinder diesel engines are available – with 120PS (88 kW), 143PS (105 kW) and 177PS (130 kW). The mighty V6 3.0 TDI develops either 204PS (150 kW) or 245PS (180kW). All A4 variants roll off the assembly line on elegant aluminum wheels. Depending on the engine version, they are 16” or 17” in size. The tires are with optimized rolling resistance belong to the 205/60 and 225/50 series. The A4 3.0 TFSI has 18” wheels with 245/40 R18 series tires. The line of options ranges to 19” with 255/35 R19 series tires. Four of the 18” wheels are new designs. The A4 allroad quattro offers four independent designs.

Audi has released its sportier, S-line-packed Audi A4 and Audi A4 Avant, offering its buyers even more tempting and exclusive rides. Developed by quattro GmbH, the S-line sports and exterior packages are now ready to transform the Ingolstadt-made compact executive car into a pure-blooded sports ride.

The S-line sports kit is consist of special sports suspension with 30 millimeters lowering and 18-or 19-inch wheels (optionally). Furthermore, it adds sports seats made of fabric Sprint/leather finish or perforated Alcantara/leather (optionally). It also boasts leather sports steering wheel, gear lever gaiter and floor mats decorated with either black or silver seams. The price tag of the S-line sports package is 1980 Euro.

In the terms of eye-candyness, the S-line exterior pack for the A4 andA4 Avant has new, sportier front and rear bumpers, chromed rings around the fog lamps, platinum gray diffuser attachment, chromed tailpipes, as well as a larger roof spoiler on the Avant.
