Hyundai Solus Genesis Will Debut at Hyundai’s SEMA Event

The long-term partnership between Hyundai Motor America and ARK Performance has delivered us the latest details over the sport-inspired Solus Genesis Coupe which will be a special blend of performance and exclusivity and it will be unveiled at the Hyundai’s SEMA press conference on 3 November.

For this project ARK included performance and luxury features that will together create a premium coupe machine that will have the chance to compete with top rivals from all around the globe. Based on the success of the AR 500 Genesis Sedan this vehicle will demonstrate far more aggressive and massive look, while the interior will be completely redesigned with new dashboard and special sporty steering wheel. And of course, as every contemporary vehicle, this beast will include numerous carbon-fiber elements.

The whole Solus Genesis Coupe project is sponsored by Quaker State and Hyundai Assurance Car Care Express. In fact, Hyundai team recommends Quaker State even for its factory fill motor oil. How cool is that?

Furthermore, the vehicle will be geared with Hyundai’s 3.8-liter “Lambda” V6 unit that now comes with Rotrex supercharger and further enhanced components. This system delivers a total of 500 hp (367 kW) to the rear wheels via a special 6-speed manual gearbox. And ARK Legato’s trunk spoiler and the carbon fiber front splitter further contribute to vehicle’s aggressive stance.

ARK Performance to Show Hyundai Genesis AR550 at SEMA
All lights now are on ARK Performance which has released some details around their SEMA-bound project. Tuning company’s Genesis AR550 sedan is getting readied for the iconic show and more importantly, taking the 2015 Genesis V8’s great performance to a whole new level. This is the sixth project for the customizing specialists, involving a Hyundai vehicle modification for SEMA. So this year they have decided to inject the Genesis with performance characteristics on par with German super-sedan rivals like Mercedes-Benz AMG and BMW M.

Of course, being familiar with ARK’s other projects, we know that they focus on the combination of supercharged power with head-turning design, which sets a new standard for Hyundai performance. The exterior for instance now features several modifications in order to accommodate the larger wheels.

This wider stance, coupled with a lowered suspension setup that results in more aggressive appearance. “AR Line” exterior modifications feature front and rear wide bumpers and fenders, a carbon fiber splitter and rear diffuser and AR headlights. Inside, the car has also been revised. The business jet-like interior is accomplished through Katzkin custom diamond-stitched seats and door panels.

The car uses Hyundai’s 5.0-liter V8 engine as the powertrain’s foundation. ARK Performance has added to it 130 horsepower via the inclusion of a Rotrex supercharger and ARK free-flow exhaust. The new ARK-developed suspension setup reduces body roll and delivers sportier ride. The Brembo Big Brake Kit with Nitto Tires it what rounds-out this customization.

Hyundai Prepares Legato Concept Genesis Coupe For SEMA

For the upcoming SEMA Show, Hyundai and the specialists at ARK Performance have joined forces and have prepared for the attendees a special concept vehicle called Legato Concept. The car is based on the Genesis Coupe model and will be shown at the event on 5th till 8th of November in Las Vegas.

As a matter of fact, “Legato”, which is an Italian musical term, means “tied together.” This very word conveys the integration of exotic design, tuned performance and luxury coupe interior ambience, which we on the other hand can see embodied in the car.

The exterior of the Legato Concept is inspired by the production Genesis Coupe, however – slightly expanded and in the form of a c concept. In addition, the car has undergone complete ARK Legato body treatment which incorporates front and rear bumpers, side skirts, deck lid and wide-body cues, for a truly unique and integrated exotic performance look. What is more, the racing silver exterior color optimizes the surface visibility of the concept’s nuanced design.

There was also done a performance tuning under the hood of this Hyundai. The production-based Hyundai 3.8-liter Lambda V6 engine is updated to 4.0-liters for 400 horsepower (295 kW) and 425 lb.-ft. (575 Nm) of maximum torque. To be more precise, inside the block, a Brian Crower (BC) 4.0 Stroker Kit with JE Pistons and BC 4340 crankshaft, connecting rods, and ARK oil cooler ensure maximum output with superior durability.

Furthermore, the ARK intake system and headers improve engine’s breathing at high rpm, while a lightweight pulley kit minimizes parasitic power losses from ancillary equipment. ARK dual-mass flywheel and carbon clutch kit deliver efficient power transferred to the road.

The Legato Concept also includes ARK DT-P coil-over suspension system coupled with lightweight Rays Engineering G25 wheels and Nitto NT05 tires. This of course ensures excellent dynamic grip. ARK’s carbon brake pads add fade resistance and stopping power.

Inside, the car is entirely transformed. The interior is a complete luxury performance concept that features Takata Drift Pro LE seats, AiM Sports Strada GT steering wheel, and digital gauge cluster, while the Rockford Fosgate premium sound system provides backup entertainment.

ARK Performance Hyundai Veloster Alpine Concept at the 2012 SEMA
ARK Performance will present a special tuned version of Hyundai Veloster. The name of the project is Alpine Concept which includes upgrades to the exterior and the 1.6 liter engine.

Some of the goodies are an ARK oil cooler, a Nitrous Oxide system, &N intake system and BTRcc custom engine bay parts and tuning. All these upgrades lead to a power of 232HP (173 kW) at 5500RPM and 325Nm (240 lb-ft) of torque at 1700RPM.

The exterior features a complete ARK Performance body kit including a new front and rear bumpers, a new rear wing, modified fenders and a pair of side skirts. The rally wing is also new as well as the 180 Customs headlights and taillights.

The car is finished in custom pearl white paint created by Beyond Coachworks.

ARK Hyundai Genesis Coupe R-Spec Track Edition to be revealed at 2012 SEMA Show
ARK Hyundai Genesis Coupe R-Spec Track Edition is in fact a mix of Hyundai’s high performance R-Spec platform Provides and the work of a Super Tuner such as ARK Performance. The ARK super-tuner track edition will debut at the 2012 SEMA show.

The tuning includes impressive enhancements in terms of power. The original 3.8-liter direct-injected engine was boosted to the impressive 395 horsepower (290 kW) at 6800 rpm, with axle-flexing torque of 340 lb.-ft. (461 Nm) at 5400 rpm.

The exterior carries also the touch of ARK Performance. The muscular character lines of the Genesis Coupe have been taken to the extreme, with race-like flared over-fenders, an aggressive front splitter, and carbon-fiber hood with heat-extractor vents.

In general, ARK Genesis Coupe not only offers this unique outlook, but also has significant under-hood performance modifications, a race-like interior environment, racing differential, tires, brakes and suspension.
