  • AMS Nissan GT-R Alpha Omega: Breaking Records Once Again

As if it hasn’t been enough spectacular already, AMS Nissan GT-R Alpha Omega once again proves to be one of the best sports cars in the world. Pushing the limits of the car at Royal Purple Raceway (RPR.), Baysite, TX, the Nissan team sets the vehicle for a record breaking run.
Previously, Nissan GT-R holds the grandiose 7-second record with a terminal speed of 299.33 km/h (186 mph). What seems to be an unbeatable score, until this year, actually turns out to be rather… beatable, for the AMS Nissan GT-R Alpha Omega becomes the first Nissan GT-R that manages to break the 7-second barrier in drag racing.

Despite the bad weather conditions at the time, dropping temperatures, increasing frustration, and timing equipment malfunctions, the accomplished results are still outstanding. The GT-R Alpha Omega, then, achieves ¼ mile in the mind-blowing 7.70 seconds, thus beating the previous record of Nissan GT-R set in just 7.984 seconds.

In addition to this, the Nissan holds some other excellent performing statistics and records, such as: setting 0-60 mph in 1.53 seconds; 0-100 mph in 2.79 seconds; 100-150 mph: 2.15 seconds, and finallyt 0-300 kph (186 mph) in only 7.56 seconds.

Follow the link bellow to get a glimpse of the remarkable performance.

Dragtimesinfo has published on Youtube a video showing two super-fast tuned Nissan GT-Rs against each other. The first is a GT-R AMS Alpha A7 with 700HP and the second is the well-known GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ driven by Yuriy with whopping 1700HP.

In the first start, The Alpha A7 managed to clock 11.061 seconds with 207 km/h at ¼ mile and 27.851 seconds with 294 km/h at 1 mile mark, while the Yuriy’s monster finished in 22.239 seconds with 366 km/h.

The Alpha A7 made the second start alone and the times were the same – 11.108 seconds with 208 km/h at ¼ mile and 27.854 seconds with 293 km/h at 1 mile.

    Enjoy!

  • AMS Nissan GT-R Alpha Omega – Epic History Moments and Records

There is no doubt that Nissan GT-R is one of the best sports cars ever created. It is not only extremely fast in its factory version, but it discovers new horizons in terms of tuning and drag racing. TheRacingChannel has published a video on Youtube showing epic history moments from the creating of AMS Performance Nissan GT-R Alpha Omega to a lot of record breaks.

The tuning company has created the first 9-,8- and 7-second Nissan GT-R and holds some other records like 60-130 mph (96-209 km/h) in 2.67 seconds and 100-150 mph (160-240 km/h) in 2.42 seconds, which are practically unbeatable.

As a reminder, the GT-R Alpha Omega did ¼ mile in 7.984 seconds with a terminal speed of 299.33 km/h (186 mph). It also set 0-60 mph in spectacular 1.72 seconds.

Still, the tuned GT-R is completely street legal and can go in city almost unnoticed for pedestrians and police. The car doesn’t make scary noise, when its driven normally and goes smoothly even in bumper-to-bumper situations.

We just can’t describe the atmosphere that the video is offering so… Enjoy!

  • Porsche GT2 9ff vs Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+

    Dragtimesinfo has published an interesting battle between Porsche 911 GT2 Mk.1 9ff GT1100 with 1100HP , Nissan GT-R Mk.2 AMS Alpha 12+ with 1500HP and Nissan GT-R Mk.1 Altechno A2 with 1000HP.

In the first start, the 9ff set personal speed record of the day of 338 km/h. However, because of the massive wheel spin the Porsche crossed the 1 mile mark in 26.957 seconds, while the GT-R Alpha 12+ needed just 24.013 seconds.

In the second start, the 9ff lost again, but this time versus the GT-R Altechno A2, which finished in 25.195 seconds with a terminal speed of 323 km/h.

In the last race, the Porsche won versus the GT-R Alpha 12+, because the Nissan had problems. However, the 9ff managed to set personal absolute record on ¼ mile – 10.977 seconds with 227 km/h and personal et record of the day on 1 mile – 25.781 seconds with 336 km/h.

  • AMS Alpha Omega Nissan GT-R – 1/4 mile in 7.98 seconds with 299 km/h

AMS Performance did it again! The tuning company proved that they are the best in tuning probably the most successful drag race car in the world – Nissan GT-R.

Their Alpha Omega Nissan GT-R managed to run ¼ mile in 7.984 seconds with a terminal speed of 299 km/h (186 mph). So the tuning company is home of the first 9, 8 and 7 second R35 GT-R.

The record came two days after Omega reclaimed the ET and trap speed records (8.25 seconds with 185 mph)  and was accomplished on the first and only pass Omega made that day.  The team came back at the track, because they were sure that the mighty Omega GT-R can beat that time and it did.

There are a lot drag racing cars in 7 seconds, but the spectacular here is that the OMEGA is a full street legal car with power of around 1700 and 1800WHP.

The speedometer is not able to keep up with the rate of acceleration, that’s why the digital one gets only to 178 mph.

  • Porsche GT3 RS 9ff GT 1000 vs 911 Evotech, Nissan GT-R EcuTek and GT-R AMS

It is time for some drag racing, but not any kind of, but the real deal. Dragtimesinfo has published a video showing a mighty Porsche GT3 RS 9ff GT 1000 making some starts against 911 Evotech, Nissan GT-R EcuTek and GT-R AMS. The GT3 RS 9ff GT 1000 has (as you may suggest) a thousand HP, while the 911 Evotech has “just” 620HP. Nissan GT-R EcuTek Stage 2 boasts 700HP and the GT-R AMS Stage 2 has only 650HP.

The first start is against the 911 Evotech and after an awful start, the GT3 RS3 9ff GT 1000 managed to cross the finish line first with time of 28.160 seconds and terminal speed of 327 km/h.

The second start is versus GT-R EcuTek, which won the race with time – 25.922 seconds and terminal speed of 313.58 km/h.

Dragtimesinfo has released a video showing the GT-R AMS Alpha 12+, who managed to hit whopping 382 km/h (238 mph) at 1 mile drag race.

Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ is boosted to 1,700HP (1,267 kW). 0-100 km/h in 2.99 seconds (due to a lot of wheel spin), 0-200 km/h in 6.5 seconds and 0-300 km/h in 12.37 seconds. This is also the fastest GT-R in the famous 1 mile drag race completing the distance in 22.538 seconds. ¼ mile time is only 9.447 seconds with 260 (161 mph) terminal speed.

In the video you will also see Porsche 911 GT2 4WD 9ff with 1,100HP, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Hennessey with 760HP and BMW M3 ESS VT2 with 750, which compared to GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ are like everyday cars.

  • Lamborghini Gallardo UR Twin Turbo vs Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+

Dragtimesinfo has released a new crazy video featuring Lamborghini Gallardo UR Twin Turbo and Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+. Both cars are sensational – the GT-R has 1500HP (around 1200WHP), while the Gallardo boasts 2000HP (1500 WHP). In other words, there is nothing faster on the public roads than these two vehicles. The Gallardo managed to stop the clock in acceleration between 200 and 300 km/h in 6.8 seconds.

The GT-R runs on Race Fuel VP Import 120 and the Gallardo is powered by Race Fuel VP C-16. The Lamborghini has 6-speed manual gearbox and the driver has a lot of difficulties changing gears so fast. The Nissan has robotic manual gearbox making changing much easier.

Both cars have huge problems with the traction, despite the AWD and four slicks fitted on the wheels. They made a lot of starts, but obviously the faster car is the GT-R.

Enjoy the video, where you will see one of the cars passing police post with more than 300 km/h.

  • Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ vs Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R

Usually we know that the motorcycles are extremely fast and especially, when matched to ordinary cars. However, the highly tuned Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ is not an ordinary car and it manages to beat a lot of superfast bikes including this brand new Kawasaki ZX-14R, which also has minor upgrades.

The GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ is running on regular 93 octane gasoline, but still has more than 1000WHP (1200+ HP). It rolls Toyo 888R tires, which hardly can get any traction at low speeds.

The Kawasaki ZX-14R comes with modified sports exhaust system boosting the engine to 220HP (195 WHP), which is also a lot, because the bike is superlight.

Still, the GT-R is way faster than the mighty ZX-14R as you will see in the video below.

    Enjoy!

  • Nissan GT-R Boostlogic Godzilla vs AMS Alpha 12+

Nissan GT-R Boostlogic GodzillaDragtimesinfo has posted video with an epic battle between Nissan GT-R Boostlogic Godzilla and AMS Alpha 12+.

The GT-R Boostlogic Godzilla rides on Toyo R888 R20 racing tires. It is boosted to 25 psi (1.72 bar) pressure and runs on 93 octane pump fuel.

The other Nissan – AMS Alpha 12 also runs on regular 93 octane pump fuel and on the same tires. It generates around 1000HP, because its full power is unleashed on VP16 – 116 octane racing fuel.

Both drivers make a lot of flying starts from 100 km/h to around 300 km/h, but as it appears, the GT-R Boostlogic Godzilla is a lot faster than the AMS.

  • AMS Nissan GT-R – Wolrd Record – 1/4 mile in 8.63 seconds [HD video]

A new world record set by the monstrous AMS Nissan GT-R at ¼ mile.

The street legal car with more than 1600HP managed to stop the clock at 8.63 seconds, when crossed the finish line at the 402 meter mark with a terminal speed of 172.15 mph (276.98 km/h). It is just insane to see a “normal” car with normal tyres do that. The parachute is much needed, because the brakes simply won’t manage too well, especially, if the AMS GT-R makes several starts.

What is more, AMS claim that this is not the end and the tuned Nissan will set even better time. As you can see in the end of the start, the rear bumper or parts of it flew away from the car, but this wasn’t the only problem.

Just before the finish line an intercooler pipe popped off, so the car didn’t run all the way on full boost (35 psi) and AMS promises that the next time, there will be more boost. We just can’t wait to see another record. Until then, enjoy the video below.
