ABT Sportsline and the 410HP Strong Audi RS Q3

ABT Sportsline Audi RS Q3 Side View This is probably if not the latest project the one before that from ABT Sportsline for this year… and we love it. It is based on a car with an engine which has been announced as “International Engine of the Year” and therefore it sets very high expectations. The stock output of this unit is rated at 340 hp (250 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. And it is very intriguing to see what the ABT experts have done over this good basis.

The awarded engine, the 2.5 TFSI, got ABT Power “New Generation“, which is tuning company’s high-end performance upgrade with its own separate control unit and software. In this way, the RS Q3 received significantly more power, 410 hp (301 kW) and a torque 530 Nm (390 lb-ft).

Other additional goodies here include height adjustable suspension kit with a flexibly lowered suspension. It brings the Audi closer to the ground by 15 to 45mm. But the beautiful white car is not only lowered, but it is also widened with the help of in-house made ABT wheel spacers of size of 4×15 or 4x25mm.

The width is emphasized via huge 21-inch wheels, which come in contrasting mystic black finish. ABT Sportsline also offers additional styling enhancements like the mirror caps and various deco films and red-and-black stripes for the “hips”.

The true emphasis here is the rear skirt, which is made of high-quality PU-RIM. It also features serpentine ornamental grid. The styling set also comprises of stainless-steel muffler system with four 89mm black tail pipes. They are impressive not only because of their looks, but because of their sound, too.

ABT Super-Q5 Faster than Audi SQ5 TDI plus? Yes, it is!

ABT Sportsline Audi SQ5 Side View ABT Sportsline has a big surprise for all keen on Audi tuning today. They have managed to make a car so powerful that it can kick the butt of the standard Audi SQ5. The gains in power are impressive and they measure more than 40 horsepower. The tuner made all this possible thanks to the ‘New Generation’ engine tuning program.

The result is pretty impressive and shows significant gains. Precisely, the standard for the 3.0 TDI 326 hp (240 kW) are now lifted to 365 hp (268 kW), while the torque has been raised from 650 lb-ft to 710 Nm.

This makes it possible for the naughty Audi to jump quickly from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds. Additionally, the experts decided to raise the top speed too, making it 260 km/h.

Besides the changes in power, ABT wanted to make the car a little bit more likeable. Thus the Aero pack was born. To go into details, it includes front skirt and a brand new grill, door strip attachments and a rear wing. There is a wide variant of this pack that adds right fender extensions.

Next, wheel spacers of between 30 to 70mm per axle make for the right tread, while the ABT height adjustable suspension springs lower the car between 5 and 30mm on the front axle and of between 10 and 35 on the rear.

ABT Sportsline is also proficient in making cool wheels. For this project it is offering its CR, DR, ER-C and FR models, in sizes of 20 and 21-inches. They can be fitted with Continental or Pirelli sports tires in 255/45 R20, 255/40 R21, 255/35 R21 and 265/35 R22 dimensions. The interior received only minor details and these include the in-house made ABT floor and trunk mats.

ABT Sportsline Celebrates 40 Years of Volkswagen Polo

It is almost unbelievable that so much time has passed since this model was first introduced. But one of the best ways to celebrate the anniversary is to make a more powerful and better looking variant of the latest edition of the Polo. At least, this is ABT Sportsline’s opinion on the matter.

The New Generation

New Generation is actually the name of the performance upgrades, based upon a specially developed control unit and created by the tuner. They allow the Polo V to pump out more than 230 hp (169 kW) from its 1.8 TSI engine. Just for a comparison, the serial number of the drivetrain is 192 hp (141 kW).

Furthermore, ABT specialists also wanted to achieve the best possible cornering characteristics, therefore they have installed the best sport-type springs, and lowered the front axle by 25mm and the rear by 30mm.

Next thing was to substitute the original 13-inch wheels with in-house made 18-inch ER-C fitted with 215/35 R18 tyres. In addition, the Polo was also decorated with a carbon-look rear attachment above the third braking light and the cool rear skirt set, exhaust system with its two mid pipes and bicoloured carbon wrap set.

And when you open the door, be sure that ABT-logo integrated entrance LEDs will welcome you, while you step onto the special floor mats.

ABT Individual Makes Dreams Come True

ABT Sportsline developed an “Individual” programme which is more than just some body kits, engine upgrades and suspension features. This time, the components are designed in a way that make cars more individualized, unique and even extravagant. What is more, the exterior and interior of models that benefit from the tuning package gain exclusive proportions, dynamism and sophistication.

In terms of the exterior, the tuner offers individual body color, special wheel outlines, customized body parts, tailor-made engine performance upgrades and personal lettering on the exhaust pipes. Audi RS6-R Impresses with 730 HP and 920 Nm

What do you think of when you read 730 HP (537 kW)? You probably imagine a massive truck or a super-sports-car. The last thing, perhaps, that comes to your mind is, well, a simple family or business-suitable car. On a side note, of course, when I say “simple” I do not really mean “simple” because a 730 HP monster can hardly be called just “simple”.

Yet, the powerful model in question is named 320 kph ABT RS6-R and is another surprise by ABT Sportsline which will be depicted at the Essen Motor Show 2014. The car is based on Audi RS6, but this time it provides even more comfort, practicality, usefulness, and luxury. This ABT creation will be limited to only 25 cars around the world.

In order to refine this model, the tuner provides it with a kit that is comprised of the ABT Engine Control unit, a specially developed software and a specially adjusted stainless steel exhaust system – including a Y-pipe and sport-type catalytic converter. There are also Dunlop high-performance tires which finalize the dynamic set-up of the RS6-R. The upgraded Audi benefits from 22-inch ABT DR alloy wheels.

Inside, ABT adorns the car with an embroidery and letterings that are simultaneously discreet and tasteful. There are also carbon-shift paddles and LED-shifting lights on the steering wheel.

ABT Sportsline Presents the New Audi TT

Undoubtedly, the Audi TT has a unique outline and an iconic styling. Now at the German Essen Motor Show 2014, which really gives an opportunity to tuning companies to show their bests, ABT Sportsline will reveal a brand-new edition of Audi TT.

In terms of power, the car to be shown at the show is equipped with ABT Power uprating based on the 2.0 TFSI. It turns the previous 230 HP (169 kW) into screaming 310 HP (228 kW) and 440 Nm of torque (initially: 370 Nm).

The tuner injects the car with additional dose of masculinity and turns it into a model that is able to dazzle and amaze across the streets. The new front skirt makes the look of the Audi TT even edgier, more sophisticated and agile. The tuned car comes with one-of-a-kind mirror caps and black 20’’ DR alloy wheels with sporty Continental tires which underline the side of the car. In order to satisfy clients and their expectations even more, ABT Sportsline offers alternative designs, finishes and sizes.

Yet, the kicker of the set, the cherry on top of the cake, the part which stands out the most is the ABT Sportsline-refined rear. The tuning company used a fixed wing, which transforms the serial version’s elegantly-looking retractable spoiler and round back into something more racy and sporty. In a way, Audi TT underwent a transition which resembles that of a teenager growing up and becoming an adult. Finally, there is a rear skirt insert with two extra side attachments and an impressive four-pipe rear muffler which further highlight the sportiness of the coupe.

ABT Sportsline Enhances the Latest Audi A8

The enigmatic Audi A8 is undoubtedly a top-notch product. Nevertheless, this outstanding vehicle can obviously climb up in its range and can become a real automotive giant! This is possible with the new ABT Sportsline upgrade distributed to this Audi model. Now it impresses us with more power and more attractive styling.

Thanks to the power updates by ABT Sportsline, Audi A8s get 4.0 TFSI upgrade, which alters the initial 435 hp (320 kW) and 600 Nm of torque to no less than 540 hp (397 kW) and 720 Nm. Those who enjoy Diesel models and their 3.0 TDI now can take advantage of 300 hp (221 kW) and 640 Nm of torque instead of 258 hp (190 kW) with 580 Nm. For the crazy V8 diesel, ABT Sportsline boosts the 4.2 TDI’s 385 hp (283 kW) and 850 Nm to the impressive 430 hp (316 kW) and 920 Nm of maximum torque.

Elegance and style seem to be key characteristics for the high-end limo. Therefore, the German tuning company sought for an aero package with stylistic components that convey not only elegance and style but sportiness as well. ABT Sportsline Audi A8 receives dynamically curved front spoiler which disrupts the cross-lined front. ABT Sportsline also provides the car with new side skirts which break up the static serial silhouette. As a result, they bestow on it more interesting and rough feel. The rear skirt set contributes to the spectacular look of the Audi too. Finally, the inner outlets are smaller and demonstrate a slightly different geometry than usual.

The handling of Audi A8 models is improved as well due to the integrated electronic lowering module. The ABT Level Control lowers the car by 25 mm, front and rear, which make the alloy wheels look even more magnificent. The wheel is available in 20’’ and 21’’ in mystic black and Gun-Metal. ER-C is another available variant in 19’’ and 20’’. It comes with silver bullet and Gun-Metal finishes.

2014 Audi S8 accelerated by ABT POWER S

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it isn’t Superman. It is the super sports saloon Audi S8! Tuned by ABT Sportsline, the extremely fast car does not reach only high acceleration, but high-quality of efficiency, performance, luxury, comfort and minimum noise as well.

As a matter of fact, the tuned Audi S8 is more than just powerful enough. Powered with Biturbo-V8 engine which has 3,993 cc capacity, the car is now upgraded from 570 hp (328 kW) to 676 hp (496 kW) and, respectively, a peak torque of 840 Nm (previously 650 Nm). The Audi S8 can speed up to 100 kph in the incredible 3.6 seconds and it has a top speed of 290 kph. The demonstrated moments of excellence and supremacy even when it reaches high speeds are possible due to the ABT Engine Control which includes a special software. Finally, the incorporated ABT muffler system makes the best and most effective use of the technical part without altering the appealing serial look.

The ABT wheels are made in ER-C or DR design in 9.5 x 20 or 9.0 x 21 inches. Optionally, the Audi S8 also comes with a set of wheel with sports tires sized 275/35 R20 or 275/35 R21.

It can scarcely be defined as simply ordinary for the ABT family have surpassed themselves once again in what they strive to achieve. There is something more about their new creation. The S8 has that edgy-look that always leaves a trail behind. It is different, powerful, tasteful, elegant and à la mode! Grace and speed in one place.

Volkswagen T5 by ABT Sportsline

After 11 years of production and going through a huge crisis, the popula Volkswagen T5 is still beloved by it’s fans.

Because of that, ABT Sportsline – the world’s largest tuning manufacturer presented by Volkswagen Group present a new promotional package for model T5. ABT Sportsline significantly improved the vision of the T5 by implementing sportier design and improving the performance of the vehicle.

Thanks to the ABT Springs, the CoG of the vehicle looks lower and improve the overall performance of the Volkswagen T5. ABT designers also offering a mighty 20’’ ABT CR double spoke wheels painted in “mystic anthracite matt”, which are completely in harmony with the overall vision.

The sports impression is complemented by ABT front grille with its frame in the colour of the car. The designers put a discreet rear spoiler making the drivers behind you to know that is not an ordinary tedious van.

ABT Sportsline Online Configurator

“None of our peers is able to provide such quality,” commented CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt about the new high-performance software, which completes the re-designed ABT Website. It now offers an online configurator featuring all tuning parts and showing the possible design of the modified vehicle.

The new ABT configurator includes all models by Audi, VW, Skoda and Seat. It boasts rotating and in 360° 3D. The user can change the basic car click by click and see what impact a new spoiler, a lower suspension setting or new wheels will have. There are also different options for the interior, paint finishes and other nice features. Of course, all pricing is included and is calculated as an overall cost.

“Every selectable component comes with a price tag. The costs of the TÜV entry, assembly or painting are also given,“ explained Hans-Jürgen Abt.

There are almost unlimited opportunities in modifying the chosen vehicle. There are so many parts to combine that you can be confused in a while. There are also all performance packages provided by the tuning company, which can be fitted to the selected model.

Undoubtedly, the new configurator by Abt will catch the attention of the users and they will pay a lot attention to it.

ABT Motorsport Centre – A New Home

ABT Sportsline now has got a new home based next to its headquarter in Kempten, Bavaria. The state-of-art motorsport centre is settled on 2,400 m² and a staff of about 50 will now prepare the four Audi RS5 DTM’s for the DTM and develop the FIA Formula E activities.

“Motorsport is our great passion and has been a pillar of our company for decades”, commented CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt.

“With the new complex, we have created the right conditions for our future work. Our team feels good there, enjoys ideal working conditions and has a lot of space to be creative.“, he added.

The all-new centre is really impressive both inside and outside. The exterior boasts chamfered, matt-black steel plates and red, high-gloss aluminium, while the interior is a real motorsport paradise. There are lavish work areas, modern offices, carbon and transmission workshops, a washing shed, modern equipment, a spacious warehouse and a gym. The truck shed next door can house five trailers, which now can be loaded and unloaded in whatever weather conditions may obtain outside. Even the daily DTM pit stop exercises can be done inside.

The construction period was just 10 months and the result is just great!

ABT Sportsline Wheel Designs for 2014 – CR, DR, ER-C and ER-F

ABT Sportsline has presented a new range of designs for their alloy wheels. The 2014 wheels by the famous tuning company are not to be missed. The cast CR, DR and ER-C and the exclusive, forged ER-F promise a number of special effects and are real highlights.

The “F” stands for “forged” and the ER-F is available in 19” or 20” sizes. The complex production process makes for a very high material density, which, in turn, makes for very slim and dynamically shaped spokes. The ER-F also boasts “black magic“ coat of paint.

The ABT ER-C – C stands for “cast“ – looks very similar. With the “silver bullet“ and “gun metal“ shades, however, ABT has seen to a special mix of colours. And it has not only the 19 and 20’’ variants available but also an 18’’ variant.

The DR wheels come with bi-coloured look and the customers can choose between “mystic black“ and “gun metal“ as prime colours and dimensions of 18” to 22”.

Last, but not least are the ABT CR wheels, which are available in 19” to 22”. The ABT CR is available in an elegant “silver light” or the extremely sporty “silver black“. In “black red“ with a red accentuation, the CR is also available at a lower entry-level price as part of the “Young Collection“ series.
