Peugeot confirms new 3008 SUV and new 5008 SUV prices and specifications as order books open

STRIKING NEW 3008 SUV
The new 3008 SUV is now available to order with enhanced specification, a refreshed trim structure, a choice of advanced powertrains and with a new Black Pack.

On the outside, the new 3008 SUV features a new frameless front grille and gloss black air intakes, while the headlights, daytime running lights and indicators all use advanced LED technology across the range. At the rear, PEUGEOT’s trademark three-claw taillights and new sequential indicators provide a contemporary look.

Inside, the new 3008 SUV features PEUGEOT’s next generation digital i-Cockpit® technology with a 12.3-inch digital head-up instrument panel, a compact steering wheel for improved driving dynamics and, from Allure upwards, a 10-inch high definition capacitive colour touchscreen.

CLASS LEADING TECHNOLOGY
From Active Premium level upwards, all new 3008 SUV models come standard with Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto and Mirror Screen. There are also two new USB sockets installed for rear passengers to use. The new 3008 SUV can also be equipped with a 515 Watt FOCAL® premium HiFi system.

The new PEUGEOT 3008 SUV comes with the latest driving aids and safety features to protect both its occupants and other road users. The following technologies are available:

Night Vision: Unique for the compact SUV segment, the 3008 SUV features PEUGEOT’s innovative Night Vision technology that allows drivers to view pedestrians and animals on the 12.3-inch digital instrument panel up to 200m beyond the scope of the headlights
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go: Available on models with eight-speed automatic transmission
Lane Positioning Assist: As part of the Adaptive Cruise Control, the Lane Positioning Assist technology ensures the vehicle stays within its lane
Latest-Generation Automatic Emergency Braking: Capable of detecting both pedestrians and cyclists at night at speeds from 3mph to 86mph

ADVANCED POWERTRAINS
As part of PEUGEOT’s new philosophy of ‘choose your PEUGEOT, choose your powertrain,’ the new 3008 SUV is available with a choice of efficient diesel and petrol engines, as well as two advanced plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) options capable of driving up to 40 miles WLTP in zero emissions EV mode.

Petrol:

1.2-litre PureTech 130 S&S 6-speed manual
1.2-litre PureTech 130 S&S 8-speed automatic
1.6-litre PureTech 180 S&S 8-speed automatic

Diesel:

1.5-litre BlueHDi 130 S&S 6-speed automatic

Petrol and diesel models fitted with the eight-speed Efficient Automatic Transmission (EAT8) now come fitted as standard with a drive mode selector that allows the driver to choose between Normal, Sport and Eco modes.

In HYBRID models, the drive mode selector allows owners to switch between Electric, HYBRID, Sport and 4WD modes, with the latter reserved for the four wheel drive HYBRID4 300 models only.

Built on PEUGEOT’s Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP2), the HYBRID4 300 e-EAT8 features a 200hp (147kW) PureTech petrol engine and two electric motors for a combined power output of 300hp (223kW) and up to 40 miles WLTP of zero-emissions EV driving. With ultra-low emissions as low as 29g/km CO2 and fuel consumption of up to 235mpg WLTP, it is the only variant available with 4WD and is capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds.

The HYBRID 225 e-EAT8 features a 180hp (132kW) PureTech petrol unit combined with a single 110hp (80kW) electric motor for a combined 225hp (165kW) power output. Under WLTP testing, the HYBRID 225 e-EAT8 achieves CO2 emissions as low as 31g/km and fuel consumption of up to 222mpg, and in fully electric mode provides a zero-emissions EV range of 39 miles.

Both HYBRID models feature a 13.2kWh lithium-ion battery and come with two types of on-board chargers. A 3.7kW single-phase on board charger is included as standard, with a full charge taking three hours and 45 minutes, while an optional 7.4kW on board charger is also available. A full charge using a 7.4kW Wall Box will take just one hour and 45 minutes.

NEW TRIM LEVELS
The new PEUGEOT 3008 SUV features a new trim structure including Active, Allure and GT. Each are complemented by an intermediate level called ’Premium’, and in the UK the range starts from Active Premium.

NEW PEUGEOT 5008 SUV
With the new 5008 SUV, PEUGEOT continues its commitment to instinctive design. The front end of the new 5008 SUV receives the new frameless grille, while gloss black side scoops and a painted tread plate are integrated into the new bumper design. Top of the range GT and GT Premium models feature their own unique grilles and full LED headlights with a new ‘Fog Mode’ function. At the rear, new upgraded LED taillights with sequential indicators feature a clear, smoked glass finish. As with new 3008 SUV, new 5008 SUV features PEUGEOT’s next generation digital i-Cockpit®.

With three rows of seats accommodating up to seven people, the interior of the new 5008 SUV is both practical and versatile. Boot space ranges from 780-litres to 1,940-litres. The middle row features three individual and fully adjustable seats, featuring reclining backrests, which can be folded flat. The two seats in the third row can be fully folded and removed, while the front passenger seat can be tipped forward so objects as long as 3.20m can be loaded into the new 5008 SUV.

Peugeot 5008 SUV

The new PEUGEOT 5008 SUV will feature a new look, more technology, and class-leading driver assistance systems when it arrives in UK showrooms in the coming months. The new 5008 SUV also features new trim levels and a new ‘Black Pack’ for improved customization.

BOLD NEW LOOK
With the new 5008 SUV, PEUGEOT continues its commitment to instinctive design. The front end of the new 5008 SUV has been redesigned with a new frameless grille, while gloss black side scoops and a painted tread plate are integrated into the new bumper design. Top of the range GT and GT Premium models feature their own unique grilles to help them stand out further.

The new 5008 SUV also features new front lights with a more purposeful look, and every trim level will feature LED light technology. GT and GT Premium models feature Full LED headlights with a new ‘Fog Mode’ function that replaces conventional fog lights.

At the rear, newly upgraded taillights feature full-LED technology with PEUGEOT’s iconic three-claw rear light signature and sequential indicator lights. The new lights are covered with a clear, smoked glass finish that extends the black boot lid on each side of the vehicle.

The new 5008 SUV is available in two new color options:

For the first time, a new ‘Black Pack’ will be available as an option on the top-of-the-range GT and GT Premium models. The Black Pack features the following styling additions:

NEW AND IMPROVED INTERIOR
The new PEUGEOT 5008 SUV comes with PEUGEOT’s next-generation digital i-Cockpit® that features a fully customizable 12.3-inch digital instrument display, a compact steering wheel for improved driving dynamics, and a new 10-inch high-definition color touchscreen.

Owners can customize the 12.3-inch digital display in front of them to show everything from navigation directions to important vehicle information. The central display also shows drivers the selected Drive Mode, which owners can choose from the Drive Mode Selector on the center console. Drivers have a choice between Normal, Sport, and Eco modes.

The new 10-inch capacitive color touchscreen comes with seven elegant piano ‘toggle switches’ providing direct access to main control functions, including the radio, Connected 3D Navigation, and vehicle settings.

Owners are also treated to new interior trims inside the new 5008 SUV. The following new trims are available across specific trim models:

Using infrared technology, pedestrians and animals detected ahead of the vehicle are highlighted on the 12.3-inch digital instrument display, up to 200m outside the scope of the headlights, ensuring safety even in total darkness.

The new 5008 SUV also comes with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go on models equipped with the EAT8 automatic gearbox. The clever technology is able to bring the vehicle to a complete stop and move away from stationary without any driver input, in stop-start traffic. Lane Position Assist, which is linked to the ACC helps ensure the new 5008 SUV stays safely centered within its lane. Both technologies are available as part of the Driver Assist Plus Package.

Owners also benefit from the latest-generation Automatic Emergency Braking technology that works at speeds from 3mph to 86mph (where legal).

2017 PEUGEOT 5008 SUV: beautiful and promising. Check it out!

2017 PEUGEOT 5008 PEUGEOT 5008 is here and shows some sweet features. It will try to enrich the whole C segment and it will try to impress all PEUGEOT enthusiasts and critics. What we have here is a beautiful and confident vehicle with numerous hi-tech gadgets and neat modern-day additions. Of course, the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit is present, along with Efficient Modular Platform 2 and plenty of safety systems. So, let’s dive in and see whether this one is worth the time and money.

Exterior design

The new PEUGEOT 5008 confidently represents brand’s vision for aesthetics and beauty: this vehicle is massive, muscular and aggressive. And where’s the beauty about that you will ask? The beauty, my friends, lies within the perfect combination of aggressiveness and elegant details. There are fine straight lines, just enough curves and above that all the needless details are just gone. There you have it. Pure beauty.

We see a wide and beautiful front grille with chrome accents, glossy black strip at the back, blended with signature LED “claw effect” rear lights and large exclusive and eye-catching wheels with neat design. And yes, we like it.

Interior design

It looks just fine. And super hi-tech. There are two infotainment displays, multifunctional steering wheel and just enough buttons, to aid the driver in any road situation. What I personally do not like, though, is the addition of cheap-looking plastic onto several places in the cabin.

However, also a notable feature is the new kind of seat configuration: there are three matching, separate folding seats in the second row that can be adjusted in length and inclination. Also, there are two removable separate folding seats in the third row. And last, but not least, there is a total of 1060 liters of luggage capacity.

In terms of comfort and pleasure, PEUGEOT team has done some good job with sound insulation and also added some sweet goodies: optional multipoint massage system for the front body-hugging front seats, FOCAL premium Hi-Fi system, panoramic glass roof, Mirror Screen Function and 3D connected navigation system.

The assistance functions also contribute to that feeling of comfort and pleasure. Buyers will be granted with Advanced Grip Control, exclusive Hill Assist Descent Control, Automatic Emergency Braking System, Distance Alert, Active Lane Keeping Assistance, Driver Attention Warning, Smart Beam Assistance and Adaptive Cruise Control. The all-new 5008 SUV features Efficient Modular Platform 2 and the latest available Euro 6.1 engines. Customers have the choice of a diesel or petrol system and will be pleased to know that both systems offer CO2 emissions as low as 117g/km for petrol and 108g/km for diesel power units.

So, do you like it? We think that PEUGEOT team has done a good job with this one. However a truly comprehensive review can be created when we see the vehicle rocking the streets. This will happen in Spring 2017. Meanwhile, stick with us!

2014 Peugeot 5008 Facelift

Peugeot is going to exhibit the facelift version of the 5008 model at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, next month.

When was first introduced in the segment, the 5008 shook up the range of products available with a vehicle which, while observing the essentials expected, brought previously unheard-of qualities. Its fluid and elegant style and its dynamic qualities make it a unique product in the segment.

Within a compact size, the Peugeot 5008 carries its passengers in a high level of practicality, comfort and safety. From an elevated position, defined by a high console, the driver has a clear view of all the surroundings. The road speed is also indicated on the Head-up display. The 5008 is practical to use and stimulating to drive.

Functional, the rear compartment allows flexibility in the use of space: five individually retractable seats, flat floor, folding front passenger seat with table position… The seven seat version offers a high level of accommodation for the two additional passengers, in a space in which it is comfortable to travel.

The new 5008 has a top-of-the-range style which is perceived instantly as indicated by the light signature of the new technological headlamps.
Engine line-up includes four petrol and four diesel engines available with manual, automatic or ETG transmissions. The petrol range starts with a 1.6 liter VTi with 120HP (89 kW) and finishes with a 1.6 liter THP with 163HP (121 kW), while the diesels kick off at 115HP (85 kW) from the 1.6 liter e-HDi FAP and top-of-range 2.0 liter HDi FAP with 163HP (121 kW).

Due to the expertise of the marque’s engineers, the handling of the 5008 is worthy of comparison with other Peugeot Hatchback cars. On board, the passengers enjoy an entirely new experience, combining driving and comfort – this combination being one of the main characteristics of the Peugeot 5008.

Peugeot 5008 won Car of the Year 2010

Peugeot grabbed several 1st places from Diesel Car Magazine awards 2010 by winning Car of the Year for 2010, Best MPV, Sports car of the year and Best Crossover.

More than 275 cars have been put through different tests to choose the winners in ten categories. There are three new categories – Best Crossover, Best Sports Car and Best Eco Car.

Peugeot 5008 won two awards – Best MPV and Overall Winner. The car is Compact MPV with 7 seats, which brings new high levels of quality, versatility and innovation to the sector.

RCZ took the Sports Car of the Year award with its perfect exterior and sporty nature. Probably, this is the best looking cars, which Peugeot ever built.

The last award was for Peugeot 3008 – Best Crossover for 2010. The car is aimed at sport-loving couples, modern families, senior citizens and active young people.
