  • HPE has Future Plans of Building World’s Fastest Sedan [VIDEO]

HPE1000 Twin Turbo Cadillac CTS-V Sedan Side ViewOne of my most favorite tuners is Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE), because it always surprises me with its supreme and outstanding projects. The newest one aims to be world’s fastest four-door sedan and will be based on the Cadillac CTS-V. In fact, the model can’t be seen on the streets yet, since its market launch begins later this year.

But when this happens, we will have more than 640 hp and a top speed of nearly 200 mph. The team at HPE finds this as the perfect basis, since it is planning to make an HPE1000 Twin Turbo CTS-V.

The last versions of the CTS-V tuned model, was a VR1200 Twin Turbo coupe, which ran 221 mph (356 km/h) on State Highway 130. John Hennessey believes that the new 2016 Twin Turbo CTS-V will have a top speed of more than 240 mph (386 km/h).

If you are already interested in buying one, then it’s probably better to make a reservation soon, since there are going to be produced only 24 units. They will be driven by a strengthened 6.2L V8 engine, which will lose its factory supercharger but will gain twin turbos for more power and better performance.

There is also going to be also a wide range of performance upgrades like carbon-ceramic brakes, larger wheels and tires as well as a widebody upgrade. Custom interior also made it in the plan.

But more importantly, the performance upgrades will allow the V8 to produce more than 780-800 horsepower. And this promise makes us very impatient, doesn’t it?

This comes to enhance grip, reduce body motion and contribute to more direct-feeling steering. The freshly unveiled car runs on Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires that were specifically created for it.

They were mated with lightweight, forged aluminum wheels: 9.5 inches wide in the front and 10 inches wide in the rear. Behind the wheels we see Brembo brake system, which includes includes two-piece 15.3-inch-diameter (390 mm) front rotors with staggered six-piston calipers and 14.3-inch-diamter (365 mm) rear rotors with four-piston calipers.

As a matter of fact, almost every exterior panel on the CTS-V is unique. Take as an instance the lightweight carbon fiber hood which features an air-extracting vent; or the front and rear fascias that deliver optimal aero performance and feature larger grille openings.

For those who want even more individuality, Cadillac has prepared optionl Carbon Fiber package. It takes aero performance and mass optimization to higher levels. The package comprises of a more aggressive front splitter, hood vent, rear diffuser and spoiler.

Inside, the cabin is performance-focused. The steering wheel, seats, shifter and pedals are designed to make the driving experiences direct and intuitive. 2016 CTS-V is equipped with heated and ventilated front seats trimmed in semi-aniline leather, featuring sueded microfiber inserts and seatbacks.

As an option, the company is offering RECARO performance front seats. Additional features for the interior include elements with decorative stitching and authentic materials such as available sueded steering wheel and shift knob.

The “insides” of the model are offered in three color combinations: Jet Black, Jet Black with Light Platinum accents and Saffron with Jet Black accents. Inside, we can also see 12.3-inch instrument panel cluster display with V-Series graphics and distinctive gauge readout. Oh, take a look at the full-color, reconfigurable head-up display, which is equipped with the latest connectivity technologies like the OnStar 4G LTE connectivity with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

No information on pricing or market release date was disclosed, but the car is expected to have a price tag around $80 000 USD.
