Forza Horizon 2: Furious 7 Car Pack Remember when we told you the story behind the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T from Furious 7? Well, the great news for today is that you are actually given the chance to drive it. At least virtually, since the car has made its debut in Forza Horizon 2, the strenuous Xbox One game. The other good news is that it is actually part of Furious 7 Car Pack, which features lineup of eight fantastic vehicles, appearing in the latest series.

All of the cars have been authentically recreated, and in fact they also include details never seen before in a Forza game. Take for instance the awesome functioning blower in the Charger R/T. There is also a month’s free car, which in this case is the 1998 Toyota Supra.

So, let’s start with the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast & Furious Edition. It is said that this car offers the best way to live your life a quarter-mile at a time. It is driven by a 426 Hemi engine, pumping out 425 horses (313 kW). It also comes equipped with coil-over race suspension, 18-inch wheels coupled with wide tires and huge disc brakes. There is also a fully functioning supercharger and street blower scoop making a hole in the hood. The result is more than impressive and it is 900 hp (662 kW).

Next is the 1970 Plymouth Cuda with 600 horsepower, coming from the same as Charger’s engine. It is characterized by bold colors, muscular fenders and a lot of Mopar features.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is also featured in the car pack. The very cool thing about it is that it is bulletproof and extremely modified throughout. Surprisingly, its power comes from a turbo-diesel motor.

If you want to see something more luxurious in the pack, you have it! Greet the 2014 Maserati Ghibli S Fast & Furious Edition, which in the movie is driven by the Jason Statham’s character. Under its hood, one finds the twin-turbo V6 pumping out more than 400 horsepower (294 kW).

Number five is a position reserved for the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner. Interesting fact about this car is that it was the choice of bootleggers and street racers back in the 70s, because it was faster than most police cars. Perfect ride, isn’t it?

We can’t skip the latest 2015 Dodge Charger R/T, which is also featured in both the movie and the game. This American muscle car was driven by Dom, features Mopar tweaks and packs 370 horses (272 kW).

Another Dodge, this time the Challenger, will also help you battle your competitors in the game. Its bulging fenders, long hood, and short deck are something that stays lasting in our mind. We also saw a captivating ad campaign, featuring this model.

At last, the month’s free car is 1998 Toyota Supra, which back in the days was the king of Japanese sports cars. This particular model is powered by the famous 2JZ engine. The unit is highly tunable and is preferred among tuning enthusiasts.

See Dodge Challenger in ‘Furious 7’ [VIDEO]

It is not “Fast and Furious” without a Dodge! Since the awaited premiere of ‘Furious 7‘ happens on 3^th of April, everyone is getting really exciting. This time Dodge will participate in the movie with three exceptional vehicles: 2015 Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger R/T and an ‘armored’ Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The first one is candy red (literally) and will be driven by ladies favorite Dom Toretto, played by the actor Vin Diesel, who will drive it through various chasing scenes. And we sincerely hope that the car will remain intact.

Letty Ortiz, the character played by Michelle Rodrigues, will be the driver of the Sublime Green and Black Challenger R/T, just like the one you can see in the promotional and very funny video below. At last, the Wrangler will be driven by Tej Parker (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges). And if you want to be revealed a secret a little bit earlier, he will play very important role in the film.

Another interesting fact is that the company has provided almost 30 vehicles for the production of the movie, so this raises our excitement even more. What you can watch below is the “Flash to the Future” advertisement. In it a customer walks in Dodge’s dealership and sits comfortably in Challenger R/T.

2015 Dodge Challenger Gets Five Stars from NHTSA

We have great news for all Challenger fans: the 2015 Dodge Challenger coupe has earned a five-star overall safety rating from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). As you are familiar, this is the highest possible safety rating given by the Administration. Dodge brand says that this is a result of its commitment to expand the advanced safety technologies featured in the muscle car.

NHTSA had also highlighted the characteristics of Forward Collision Warning (FCW). This system includes forward-facing sensors programmed to detect the potential for frontal collisions. It they are detected, the driver is alerted with visual and audible warnings. More importantly, the 2015 Challenger is the only muscle car in its segment that has this capability.

Next to the FCW there are also more than 70 available safety and security features. For instance such are the Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Path Detection. As a matter of fact, in the individual crash-tests conducted by NHTSA the Dodge got five stars in front- and side-impacts.

The new model builds on the legacy of the previous generation. It features an exterior design which is 1971-inspired. The same design theme is included in the interior and is visible through the high-sill center console, driver-focused instrument panel and aluminum bezels.

Customers can chose from three powerful engines. Each is mated with the new TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission as a standard. The first unit is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 which produces delivers 305 horsepower (224 kW).

Next is the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with up to 375 horsepower (275 kW) and 555 Nm (410 lb.-ft.). At the top of the range sits the 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 with an estimated 485 horsepower (357 kW) and 644 Nm (475-lb.-ft.) of torque. It accelerates the car from 0 to 60 mph in the mid-4 second range.

Dodge has announced pricing for its most powerful and fastest car in the model range, namely – the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. The car will officially go on sale in the third-quarter of the year. The iconic American automaker has also announced pricing or other vehicles in the Challenger line-up. For the 2015 model year Dodge offers four different and efficient engines for its Challenger range.

Precisely, the powerful 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 is to be found in the SXT and SXT Plus. It generates 305 horsepower (224 kW) and has an EPA estimated 30 mpg on the highway. Mopar brand is enhancing the brand new 2015 Dodge Challenger and Charger with a number of accessories and performance parts. 2015 Dodge Challenger Unveiled In New York

2015 Dodge Challenger was firstly teased in the beginning of the month with a single image which didn’t say much. Now, the car is officially here. Its debut happened during the New York Auto Show. The model has 1971-inspired design in terms of both interior and exterior. Nevertheless, it also features contemporary treatment, which includes new split grille, more pronounced and functional power bulge hood, LED halo headlamps and LED tail lamps.

2015 Dodge Challenger And Charger To Be Revealed In New York

2015 Dodge Challenger and 2015 Dodge Charger will deliver a sleeker and more modern appearance, when they debut at the New York Auto Show on 17th of April. The brand will introduce both models just ahead of the summer celebration of its 100th anniversary. By far, Dodge didn’t reveal many details about the car, except for a teaser image showing partially what happens behind the wheel.

Therefore we will have to wait for their official reveal. Nevertheless, Dodge disclosed that the Challenger is inspired by its classic predecessor and has been redesigned inside and out. The model also will feature new powertrain combination.

The most-successful four-door muscle car, namely 2015 Dodge Charger will also make a debut in New York. This model has received full-body makeover with nearly every single body panel being resculpted.
