2014 Toyota Highlander – US Price $29,215

2014 Toyota Highlander is now available to order in the US. The pricing is starting from $29,215 for the LE four-cylinder FWD and goes up to $43,590 for the Limited V6 AWD with Platinum Package.

There are four trim levels: LE grade, the LE Plus grade, XLE grade and Limited grade.

The standard equipment of LE grade includes 18” alloy wheels, Entune Audio featuring a 6.1-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth phone and music streaming, an integrated backup camera, seating for eight with second- and third-row 60/40 split fold-flat seats, heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators, smart storage compartments like the roll-top center console, an in-dash shelf with easy access to power and USB ports, a windshield wiper de-icer, and much more.

The LE Plus grade adds fog lights, an height-adjustable power rear liftgate with flip-up rear hatch window, eight-way power driver seat with lumbar support, Entune Audio Plus with XM & HD radio, 3-zone automatic climate control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

The XLE grade adds smart key with push button start, leather-trimmed seats with heated front seats, Chromtec roof rails and a tilt-slide moonroof, second-row integrated sun shades, Entune Premium Audio with Navigation, App Suite with an 8” touch screen display, anti-theft system, Homelink,and a 5,000 lb. towing capacity. Options include seating for seven with second-row captain’s chairs, and a rear-seat Blu-ray DVD entertainment system.

The top-of-range Limited grade boasts 19” Chromtec alloy wheels, LED DRLs, blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sonar, 7-seat arrangement with second-row captain’s chairs, perforated leather-trimmed seats, heated and ventilated front seats and memory settings for the driver seat and side mirrors, four-way power passenger seat, and Entune Premium JBL Audio with Navigation and App Suite.

Options for both the gas and hybrid Limited grade models include a rear-seat Blu-ray DVE entertainment system, Driver Technology Package, and Platinum Package.

The Driver Technology Package includes:

Toyota Releases SpongeBob SquarePants Inspired 2014 Highlander

2014 Toyota Highlander SpongeBob SquarePants was inspired by the collaboration of Nickelodeon and Toyota. The unique vehicle features a custom SpongeBob-themed exterior and an interior design. This special edition 2014 Highlander is family friendly and plain fun, in other words it emphasizes the perfect combination of family vehicle and cartoon.

The redesigned Highlander made its global debut in March this year at the New York Auto Show. The SpongeBob SquarePants inspired vehicle is part of “Happy Driving!” tour, which will showcase the all-new model of the mid-size crossover SUV.

This Toyota SUV offers plenty of cargo room, improved safety features and a sophisticated interior. It is the ideal family vehicle which will bring together ease of mobility and family fun, resulting in unforgettable memories.

The new mid-size SUV is equipped with a 3.5-litre V6 engine with a variable intake manifold and dual variable valve timing with intelligence. This controls phasing on both the intake and exhaust camshafts in order to enhance the torque and fuel efficiency.

Furthermore, the new six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission delivers improved fuel efficiency. On the other hand, the technologies which deliver more dynamic driving experience are the Dynamic Torque Control All-Wheel Drive, improvements in suspension performance, and optimized electric power steering.

Car’s handling has been also redesigned via a tuning of the springs and shock absorbers. In addition to this Highlander’s Dynamic Torque Control AWD system uses information sent from various sensors in order to automatically govern the transmission of torque to the rear wheels.

The SpongeBob-themed activities are now taking place around the United States. “Happy Driving!” promotional tour throughout the U.S. brings SpongeBob’s special brand of fun to seven locations across the country: Nickelodeon Suites Resort, Orlando, Fla. (Aug. 2-4); SpongeBob Shellabration, Hollywood, Calif. (Sept. 7-8), Artscape Festival, Baltimore, Md.(July 19-21); Eat Real Festival, Oakland, Calif. (Sept. 27-29); Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America, Minneapolis, Minn. (Aug. 9-11); NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Chicagoland Speedway, Chicago, Ill. (Sept. 15); Gourmet on Gore Festival (Aug. 30-Sept. 2); LA Auto Show, Los Angeles Calif. (Nov. 30-Dec. 9).

The aforementioned events will include character meet-and-greets and photo opportunities. New York Auto Show: 2014 Toyota Highlander
Another debut at New York Motor Show is for 2014 Toyota Highlander which is the third generation mid-size SUV. Its new exterior design is refined and strengthened and in addition is complemented by more spacious interior with an array of comfort, convenience and technology features.

The new Highlander shows-off progressive silhouette, enhanced aerodynamics and sculptured side-door panels. This contributes to a more sophisticated and dynamic appearance. The exterior is now wider and includes a trapezoidal grille, wrap-around headlamps, bold fenders and a newly styled rear liftgate.

The front A-pillars of this Toyota model were repositioned which results in improved visibility. At the same time the size of the rear quarter glass has been enhanced in order to deliver a wider view for driver and occupants.

The interior on the other hand includes refined and more functionality features with premium materials and fittings, including a soft-touch instrument panel and easier access to the third row. The cargo space behind the third-row seats has also been increased.

World Debut For Next-Generation Toyota Highlander SUV [TEASER]

Toyota has just teased with a hot image part of the front fascia of their brand new 2014 Toyota Highlander mid-size SUV. The model will make its official reveal at the 2013 New York Auto Show on 27th of March.

Unfortunately, no additional details were disclosed so far and we have to wait few more days in order to keep our senses satisfied with the disclosure of this Toyota SUV. In addition, it was also revealed that those who can’t make it to the Show can watch it live via Livestream at Toyta’s official page.

During 2011 model year, this Toyota vehicle included engine choice of two petrol units- four and six-cylinder ons which were mated to either a five-speed or a six-speed automatic gearbox. Both variants could be then equipped with two-wheel (2WD) and full-time four-wheel-drive (4WD).

In addition there was also a Hybrid version of the 2011 Highlander which back then was equipped with 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine plus electric motor with overall power of 280 PS (205 kW).

2014 Toyota Highlander SUV With World Debut in New York

It has just been announced that the strongly anticipated next generation b is going to make its world premiere at this year’s New York Auto Show. Details around the new version of the model weren’t disclosed so far.

It was only revealed that Toyota will stage the world debut of the 2014 Highlander mid-size SUV and at the press conference at the Auto Show. The reveal of the new SUV will happen on 27th of March at 9:10 a.m. Eastern Time in the Galleria Level Four at the Jacob Javits Center.

The previous generation of the same model was from the 2011 model year. And in it was featured an engine choice of two petrol engines: four and six-cylinder. They were mated to either a five-speed or a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Both two-wheel (2WD) and full-time four-wheel-drive (4WD) are also available on all trim levels. On the other hand, the Hybrid version of the 2011 Highlander back then was equipped with 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine plus electric motor with overall power of 280 PS.
