Jaguar has released a short online film, which features the famous British model David Gandy and several iconic Jaguar models, including the F-Type Convertible. In the film, Gandy tells about his number one passion in life, which of course is driving sports cars. In his opinion, the best way to describe this passion is as “the ultimate escapism” from his hectic life.

Additionally, in the video, the model gives us insight into his life by inviting the viewer on a road trip that starts at dusk as he escapes “the craziness of London”. In the film are featured several emblematic for Jaguar’s history models: the C-Type, E-Type and XKSS, and as mentioned the very latest F-TYPE Cabriolet.

“That feeling of freedom, just you and the car” is the way that Gandy describes hiss passion and in fact he tells that this for him is his “meditation. Thanks to the unique, seductive design and high performance engineering that Jaguar delivers, many people are falling in love with the classic British two-seater sports cars.

The film was firstly previewed at the Goodwood Revival in the United Kingdom, and now it is available on the official Jaguar YouTube page. Of course, you can view it below:

Today was the world premiere of Desire – the anticipated short film by Jaguar, at Sundance London. The film was created in collaboration with Ridley Scott Associates (RSA) and in it stars Damian Lewis, Jordi Mollà and Shannyn Sossamon.

The director of “Desire”, Adam Smith, described the creative project as a true adventure and challenge, where a story of betrayal, retribution, passion and greed is told. The film was shot at Chile’s Atacama desert, which is one of the most beautiful and marvelous places on the planet.

In addition, the award-winning singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey made the title song to the film, called “Burning Desire”, which was officially revealed on Valentine’s Day this year. More importantly, another highlight is the Jaguar F-Type itself, which is equipped with brand’s highly acclaimed 5.0-litre V8 engine.

The latter delivers 495 hp (364 kW) and 625Nm (463 lb-ft) of torque. These numbers result in an effortless acceleration time of 4.3 seconds for the sprit of 0 to 100 km/h on the way to a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). As a matter of fact, the F-TYPE is not designed to be like an ordinary sports car. It’s a Jaguar sports car – ultra-precise, powerful, sensual and, most of all, it feels alive.

The first image of the strongly anticipated Jaguar F-Type has just leaked! As it was expected it is now obvious the visual resemblance between this model and the C-X16 Concept. The photograph of the new F-Type model was originally published in photographers’ Chris Doane Facebook profile.

Expected technical specifications of the car however aren’t announced. However, it is also not a secret that they will be very similar to those of afore mentioned concept by Jaguar. In addition, in contrast to the latter, the F-Type will be available as an open top only.

It is rumored that the F-Type will be available in two variants, one which generates 340 hp (250 kW) or 380 hp (280 kW). Both figures are coming from Jaguar’s all-new 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine. Then, there will be the derivative of the exciting supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine. Stop/Start system is expected as well.

More detailed information around this unique vehicle is to come around the 2012 Paris Auto Show, where it will make its first official world appearance. So stay tuned!
