2012_Civic_Natural_Gas_THUMBHonda Civic Natural Gas is the latest production project of the brand, which has been designed especially to raise the ecological awareness around the globe. Honda made a further step in this direction, by presenting the keys of a 2012 Honda Civic Natural Gas to Anaheim Ducks NHL star George Parros. By his positive influence and personal example, the manufacture is confident that Parros will create awareness of the vehicle amongst his Ducks team-mates and fans.

Furthermore, the car has already been awarded a green car of the 2012 year. The 2012 Honda Civic Natural Gas is the only OEM-built, CNG-powered passenger car for sale in the United States. Examples of it are available at 197 dealers around the country. In details, the vehicle is powered by the cleanest internal-combustion engine, which is in addition certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (Tier-II, Bin-2 and ILEV certification). It also qualifies for a state-issued decal allowing single-occupant access to High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) “carpool” lanes. Moreover, the all-new 2012 model includes enhanced exterior and interior styling, improved fuel economy and a refueling price typically 30 percent less than gasoline! Significant features aren’t they!

  • 2012 Honda Civic – Official Pictures

Honda has finally revealed official pictures of the brand new Civic. These images show the dynamic and aggressive exterior design as well as the high quality interior.

The 2012 Civic boasts sporty elements and executive features. Sources of inspiration included a blended wing body aeroplane in which the fuselage and wings blend into a single body for superior aerodynamic performance.

The main tasks the new Civic are better ride and handling, reduced CO2 emissions, nice design and interior quality and of course class-leading cabin, boot space and practicality.

Designed and developed specifically for the European market, the new Civic will be offered as a five-door hatchback and will reach UK showrooms in early 2012.

The new Honda Civic will be launched tomorrow at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA).

  • 2012 Honda Civic 2.2-litre i-DTEC

Honda has announced that the new 2012 Civic will come with a powerful diesel engine.

The new 2.2 liter i-DTEC boasts carefully managed oil flow through the engine, reduced friction and Idle Stop (start/stop) technology.  The engine delivers 150PS (110 kW) and 350Nm (260 lb-ft) of torque, and emits just 110 g/km of CO2.

Extensive wind tunnel testing was carried out to improve the car’s aerodynamics, reduce drag and refine high speed stability, all of which contribute towards lowering emissions.

“To achieve a good CO2 figure, you need to optimise every aspect of the car,” commented Katsushi Watanabe, Development Leader for the engine.

“Reducing the emissions was our key target and we’re proud to say that we have achieved this without compromising the high performance character of the engine. We want our customers to have fun when they drive this car.”, Katsushi Watanabe finished.

  • 2012 Honda Civic – more confident, clever and versatile

Honda will exhibit the ninth generation hatchback for Europe at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Until then, the manufacturer has released two pictures, where the new Civic is completely covered.

Still, Honda is aiming to create more confident, clever and versatile Civic, which will offer stand-out looks combined with class-leading space for passengers and luggage. Quality and comfort levels have improved dramatically over the outgoing model.

2012 Honda Civic will hit the market sometime in the next year.

The engineers in the company focused a huge amount of time and effort improving ride quality and handling of the Civic, and through significant changes to the suspension set-up they have enhanced both comfort and body control. Of course, the new car has been tested on public roads as well as race tracks.

To give customers the biggest cabin and boot space in the C-sector, the Civic retains a rear torsion beam suspension system – but the latest set-up uses clever fluid-filled compliance bushes to improve overall ride performance and handling. It has also been strengthened to give better stability, particularly at high speeds.

Stay tuned for more information about the engine range.
