Fiat 500 Now More Colourful

One of the most popular “mini” cars in the world, the Italian Fiat 500 city car, which recently achieved great market sales results, has been further enhanced. The iconic Fiat has been additionally improved with a range of bold new exterior colors and upgraded interior trims.

To be more precise, six stunning new colors are now available for the Fiat 500 range, they are namely: Countrypolitan Yellow, New Age Cream, Groove Metal Grey, Epic Blue, Chillout Purple and Idol Pink metallics.

Furthermore, the interior is now complemented with New Chocolate brown/Ivory fabric and Grey/Black fabric interior trim. They better match the exterior. In addition to them, new two-tone leather trims will be available at the end of the year, substituting the current leather finishes.

Other design upgrades include a new ‘short-fin design’ antenna and 15-inch alloy wheels. The Fiat 500 price begins at £9960.

2012 Fiat 500 is “Best Car” according to “Travel + Leisure” Annual Design Awards

The new 2012 Fiat 500 was named “Best Car” in the eighth annual “Travel + Leisure Design Awards”. 2012 Fiat 500 Nation

Fiat will exhibit a new special edition 500 Nation at the Bologna Motor Show. The manufacturer will produce just 500 units for both saloon and convertible version. The new Fiat 500 Nation Limited Edition is the tribute that the brand dedicates to the great countries where the car is sold.

The special edition 500 features exclusive metallic shade America Blue paint, mirror fairings with “Stars & Stripes” graphics, stickers, dedicated beltline and 16″ alloy wheels with red cap edge. American inspiration and iconography are also found in the interiors with red/ivory seats and contrasting white dashboard.

The white three-layer paint and “Stars & Stripes” mirror fairings are combined with the red top and the graphics in the colours of the American flag in the beltline in the convertible version. In this case the elegant 16″ alloy wheels are finished with a blue rim edge.

The standard equipment of the 500 Nation boasts manual air conditioning, exterior chrome-plating in both saloon and convertible versions. There is also a badge on the pillar bearing the serial number of this limited edition makes this car unique.

The new 500 Nation America Limited Edition can be ordered from late February 2012. It is priced at €14 500 for the saloon model and €18 000 for the convertible.

2012 Fiat 500 Abarth US

2012 Fiat 500 Abarth US is being currently exhibited at the LA Motor Show.

“Bringing the 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth to the U.S. enables us to reach out to driving enthusiasts who want Italian performance at an attainable price,” commented Olivier Francois, Head of FIAT Brand and Chief Marketing Officer – Chrysler Group LLC.

“With its lightweight, track-tuned handling and purpose-built design, the Fiat 500 Abarth brings to life the legendary racing heritage of the brand and becomes the Italian high-performance car for everyday driving.”, he added.

The small city car will be powered by an all-new 1.4 liter MultiAir Turbo engine. There are no exact numbers, but probably the US 500 Abarth will be slightly more powerful than the EU model. The European model boasts 140PS (103 kW) and 206Nm (152 lb-ft) of torque.

Other goodies include Abarth-tuned suspension and brake systems, race-inspired design, and technology features not traditionally included on a small car. The new 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth unleashes the brand’s legendary performance heritage to American streets.

The exterior boasts complete aerodynamics body kit and 16” alloy wheels as standard and possibility for 17” as an option.

The interior comes with Abarth-designed steering wheel with perforated leather and flat bottom. There are also cruise, audio and BLUE&ME^TM Handsfree Communication technology controls on the steering wheel. The instrument cluster has 160-mph speedometer, tachometer and trip computer. For a touch of sophistication, the instrument-panel cluster brow is wrapped in Nero leather with Rosso accent stitching. There are Unique Abarth-styled front performance seats feature a one-piece design with large side bolsters, racing-harness pass through, accent stitching around the perimeter and integrated side-thorax air bags.

For a contemporary and technical look, the Fiat 500 Abarth features the center stack, radio and climate control system, as well as the headliner and pillars finished in Nero, while the four-passenger seating is available in Nero (cloth or leather) or Rosso/Nero (leather) color combinations.

2012 Fiat 500 TwinAir

Fiat has announced TwinAir version in the popular 500 city car line-up. The TwinAir cars will attract new customers to the Fiat 500 family with their sporty and assertive appearance.

2012 Fiat 500 TwinAir includes black alloy wheels, burnished metal effects on dashboard and front and rear mouldings, spoiler, chrome exhaust pipe and sports seats.

The engine is the well-known 0.9 litre TwinAir with 85HP and a 95g/km of CO_2,which means that is one of the few cars entitled to travel across London without incurring the capital’s congestion charge.

The TwinAir range will come in both 500 (hatchback) and 500C (convertible) versions and will only be available in vibrant colours such as Pearlescent Red, Tropicalia Yellow and Electroclash Grey. A special colour, Midnight Black, is available only on the TwinAir Plus model.

The new range starts at £11 600 OTR for the TwinAir, rising to £12 700 for the TwinAir Plus.
