  • 2011 Subaru Forester sT – family turbo vehicle

    Honestly, I don’t see the use of making sporty Forester, but Subaru obviosly does. The Forester tS is inspired by the S-Edition Concept, which was unveiled at the Australian motor show earlier this month.

    Subaru Forester tS is powered by 2.5 liter turbocharged boxer engine with 263PS (193kW) and 347Nm of torque. Because of the vehicle’s huge weight -1810 kg (3990 lbs), it doesn’t stagger with performance characteristics, but it is fast enough.

    However, the vehicle comes with tuned suspension including STi-tuned dampers and springs and flexible front and rear sway bars. (more…)

  • 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI – price and details

    2011 WRX STI will be available to order from this month. Both models – four-and five-door variants are priced at £32 995.

    The engine is the well-known 2.5 liter 16V turbocharged boxer with Dual Active Valve Control. It delivers 300PS at 6000RPM and 407Nm at just 4000RPM. The acceleration is astonishing – 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. Furthermore, the engine is slightly revised , so it is cleaner, and successfully meets Euro 5 exhaust emissions standards.

    Subaru has further tuned its three-mode SI-Drive (Subaru Intelligent Drive) system, which can be used to adjust the engine’s characteristics to best suit a variety of driving conditions. (more…)

  • 2011 Subaru WRX STi Sedan tested at the Nurburgring

    Suburu has the tradition to test all their vehicles at the world’s toughest race track – Nurburgring. Since 1992 for advanced R & D as well as tests of the WRX and WRX STI models.

    The concept of the 2011MY WRX STI appears to be the fastest WRX STI ever. The most significant upgrades are focused on the chassis and suspension. Series of tests have been made at Nurburgring to demonstrate the superior dynamics of WRX STI. Tommi Mäkinen, the legendary four-time World Rally Champion tested the vehicle for the challenge. (more…)
