Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport Video Screenshot Ten days ago Porsche presented at the L.A. Motor Show its brand new and ecstatic Cayman GT4 Clubsport. Now the luxurious company promotes the car with furious video showing-off the how the sports car behaves in action. There is really nothing much said about it, except for this: “If the rebel inside you dreams of this. Get him on track… Rebels race harder.”

And I really like it because it describes the spirit of the Cayman GT4 Clubsport so well. It is a rebel and according to this video it definitely races harder than anyone else on the track… or? I would like to hear your thoughts of comparison here.

Anyway, the rally car as described by Porsche is the perfect vehicle for ‘recreational and club racing’. It is mid-engined, driven by 3.8-litre flat-six unit, which is positioned behind the driver’s seat. Some sports characteristics are too contributed by the custom six-speed Porsche double clutch with shift paddles on the steering wheel and a mechanical rear-axle locking differential.

Other cool equipment features about this car include lightweight strut on the front and rear axle, 380-millimetre steel brakes, anti-lock brake system, purpose include welded-in safety cage, a racing bucket seat and six-point harness. The alloys are of 18-inch size with five-bolt forged rims with Michelin tyres.

And if this rebel calls your spirit then you should definitely consider a test drive (at least). If ou are living in Europe, then you can purchase Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport at 111,000 euro. North Americans will have to pay for it at least $165,000USD.

Fresher Than Ever: AC Schnitzer Upgrades the Recently Premiered BMW 3-Series

2015 AC Schnitzer BMW 3-Series It is still fresh and new, but it has already a comprehensive upgrade: two 3-series LCI models are now geared with numerous additional features with the aid of tuning specialists AC Schnitzer. The engineering team has helped to improve the power units of the 316d and 335d to additional 139hp (102kW) for the 316d and 360hp (263kW) for the 335d model.

Believe it or Not This Uprated BMW 1-Series is Incredibly Powerful! Covers 0-100 km/h in 4.5 Seconds!

BMW 1-Series by AC Schnitzer Side View This BMW 1-Series by AC Schnitzer has impressive motorsport qualities and it has just debuted at the Essen Motor Show. I’m sure that there is rarely anyone who could expect a brute power from the ‘smallest’ in any range, but the case here is exactly the opposite. Since the tuners at AC Schnitzer were involved, there is literally no doubt that we could expect something even worth of race track competition.

M50d Power Instead the Standard Unit

Precisely, the experts have equipped the car with the M50d power plant and impressive performance upgrade. This powerplant is originally found in the 5-series, and this is the reason why the “Diesel M-Technik” unit propels the 1-series a long way forward.

In addition, after the performance upgrade the concept engine of the ACS1 5.0d now delivers 400 hp (294 kW) and 800 Nm (592 kW) of torque. So, it is no surprise that this “mini” could jump faster than many sports cars out there. Precisely, it is capable of 0-100 km/h acceleration time in just 4.5 seconds. By the way, the acceleration from 80-180 km/h is even more impressive: the ACS1 5.0d takes just 7.9 second for this.

Other Upgrades

Other upgrade goodies that contribute for better performance include AC Schnitzer charge-coolers and sports catalysts, and tuning company’s logo over the engine. Well, the last one might not boost the horses but it definitely says whom to thank for the increase in power and speed.

In addition, the 1-Series also received sports silencer and two chromed tailpipes in “Racing”, “Racing Evo”, “Sport” or “Sport Black” styles, in right and left combination. Furthermore, the “cornering comfort” is provided via the in-house made racing suspension, which is also entirely adjustable in height. In details, it delivers lowering by 35 – 45 mm at the front and 40 – 50 mm at the rear. Anotherr option is the AC Schnitzer sports suspension and suspension spring kit that contributes for a 30 mm lowering at the front and rear.

Exterior Looks Better?

Are there any aero components in this project? The answer is positive. The tuners used a combination of two-piece AC Schnitzer front spoiler elements, the front spoiler, chromed front grille in the export version, and rear roof wing. There is even a rear skirt, which has received a protective film and carbon mirror cover. The AC Schnitzer design stripes round out the exterior enhancements included for the bodywork of the 1-Series.

But How About the Interior?

AC Schnitzer also changed the interior of the 1-series BMW via the “Black Line” aluminium cover for the “i-Drive” system controller, AC Schnitzer key-holder, a gear knob with digital gear display, the “Black Line” aluminium or leather gear knob, “Black Line” aluminium handbrake handle, foot rest and aluminium pedal set, and velour foot mats.

This is yet another very cool project by AC Schnitzer shown at the Essen Motor Show and we are very excited to share it with you. The guys are really doing their job just great and we definitely hope to hear from them more often!

Ben Saunders and Minna Sillankorva Tackled Down The Arctic Silverstone Challenge [VIDEO]

Land Rover SVR Sport Land Rover Ambassador and polar explorer, Ben Saunders, decided to swap his shoes with winter tires for his Range Rover Sport SVR and to put this change to the test near the Arctic Circle. There is also a new film released by Land Rover that shows the journey of the famous adventurer from ice driving beginner to experienced professional in Sweden on a full-scale replica of the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit.

And with special instruction by the experienced driver and former rally champion, Minna Sillankorva, Ben tackles the challenge of driving on ice with the Land Rover’s performance-oriented flagship, Range Rover Sport that produces 550hp (404kW) through its V8 power unit. In fact the machine is capable to go from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in just 4.5 seconds and is the first model to use the SVR designation that will be adopted by future Land Rover and Jaguar performance-oriented vehicles.

But the titanic power is not the only thing that makes the vehicle so interesting. It also features enhanced all-terrain performance upgrades, including Terrain Response system that automatically tailors a range of vehicle’s settings to fit the road conditions. Also, the four-wheel drive system with two-speed transfer case and 50/50 percent torque split delivers unmatched capability and flexibility.

Another sweet system that aids Ben in his adventure is Land Rover’s Torque Vectoring: it constantly balances the distribution of engine torque between the four wheels during cornering which eventually improves grip, stability and steering response. This system also monitors the vehicle via Dynamic Stability Control module. When it accelerates in corners, the system uses special sensors to detect the onset of understeer.

G-Power and the Beautifully Uprated M4 F82 Bi-Tronik

G-Power BMW M4 F82 Bi-Tronik Front View G-Power rises again with a special tuning for the M3 and M4. The car depicted here is the BMW M4 F82, which has received a very special optimization for its powerful engine. And instead of its standard 431 horsepower it now shows a lot more! The upgrade happened via an in-house developed Bi-Tronik 2 V2.

The result: an output of 560 hp (412 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. This conversion catapults the Bavarian to 100km/h from a standing start in just 3.8 seconds. If the Vmax limitation is removed, then the top speed could be raised to a theoretical 330km/h. In reality, the car will achieve around 310km/h.

The dramatically enhanced performance was proved via test runs on the dyno and real world testing on the autobahns and country roads. What is more, complementary to the Bi-Tronik 2 V2 package, G-POWER installed downpipes which minimize the exhaust back pressure.

Furthermore, the car was also equipped with G-Power titanium exhaust system with four 90-millimeter tailpipes. They are optionally available in titanium or carbon finish, thus saving 7.1 kg.

At last, we should say about the addition of 21-inch HURRICANE RR forged alloy wheels, which were shod with 245/30ZR21 and 295/25ZR21 Michelin tires. Don’t miss the thrilling video about the car and check out the gallery below.

Kahn Continues its Strong Relationship with Land Rover with the Introduction of Silver Defender Hard Top

Kahn Land Rover Defender Hard Top Chelsea Wide Track Front View The Silver Hard Top Land Rover Defender by Kahn Design has a brand new photo-session and some additional details that need to be mentioned. In fact, you can even regard it as a reinterpretation of what we have seen a month ago. Chelsea Wide Track was also included in the project, which used as a basis the Defender 2.2 TDCI Hard Top. In other words, this one will wear a full range of Chelsea Truck Company styling upgrades for a more contemporary appearance.

Extras for the Exterior

For easier entry inside the cabin, the tuning experts installed side steps on both sides. In addition, the front and rear received extended wheel arches with exposed bolt apertures, the sides got side and bonnet vents, while the front bumper sump guard was made some how more luxurious.

By the way, the front bumper is fitted with daytime running lights and shadow chrome headlights. They are positioned between the colour-matched X-Lander grille. At the opposite side we see a Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover.

The new wheel arches are ‘filled’ with 18-inch Satin Black 1983 RS Defend wheels coupled with 265/65/18″ tyres.

Luxurious Interior

The cabin received a special attention, too. Both the front seats were substituted for more supportive Sports GTB ones trimmed in quilted and perforated leather. The steering wheel bears the hallmark of Kahn’s billet touch and there have been added vented foot pedals in machined aluminium for more engaging driving experience. At last, we can’t skip the Churchill time clock that was integrated into the dashboard.

Another Essen Motor Show Debut: Meet the Falcon Based on BMW X6 M [VIDEO]

AC Schnitzer BMW X6 M FALCON Front View AC Schnitzer has just debuted another vehicle at the Essen Motor Show. It is called the Falcon and it looks amazing. It is based on the BMW X6 M model and it is capable of a lot! Featuring an extensive tuning for the engine, exterior and some goodies for the interior, AC Schnitzer experts made this vehicle really stand out from the crowd.

Basically, the M-series put out there 650 horsepower (478 kW) instead of the 575 hp (423 kW). The power output is further strengthened not only by additional horses but also by throaty sound, delivered by the AC Schnitzer silencer options with “Racing” tailpipes. Precisely, for the X6 M, there are other variants of the in-house made silencer with flap control and two “Carbon Evo”, “Sport”, “Sport Black” and “Carbon Evo” tailpipes.

This widening pack comprises of ten-pieces. It includes front and rear wings with the FALCON emblem, front skirt, bonnet vents, rear wing in the export version, rear diffusor, carbon rear skirt insert and rear skirt film. Furthermore, the superior SUV is lowered to the ground via suspension spring set also made by AC Schnitzer, which brings down the vehicle by 15 – 20 mm both front and rear.

The wider body is complemented by giant wheels sized 22-inches. They come in the classic double spoke design and are available in BiColor or matt anthracite.

The tuning inside is minimal and includes aluminium pedal set and foot rest, AC Schnitzer keyholder and velours foot mats.

X6 FALCON by AC Schnitzer is definitely going to defeat any flightless rivals on the road. Now listen to the sound of Falcon’s engine.

Mini experts from Maxi-Tuner have just demonstrated the MaxPower-performance upgrade program for the Cooper S Clubman model.

Thanks to the intelligent control electronics, the MaxPower pack boosts the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit from the stock 192hp (141kW) to 225hp (165kW) and 340 Nm from the stock 280 NM. This grants the sweetie enough power to go from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in kust 6.8 seconds.

Furthermore, MaxPower equipment adds some more reliability and longelivity features, but at the same time keeps all the factory diagnosis, service and engine protection functions fully intact. In fact, anyone who is not that satisfied by the upgrade can quickly and easily remove it and return to the stock features of the Clubman.

Mercedes-AMG Celebrates F1 with A45 4MATIC Champions Edition

Mercedes-AMG A45 4MATIC Champions Edition is a very special vehicle, which celebrates the victory in the constructors’ world championship as well as the drivers’ championship included in the motorsport’s champion’s league this year. It actually marks the end of the season and this is why it blends the expressive Formula 1 look of the victorious Silver Arrows with extensive and abundant equipment.

It was actually very strange for me to grasp how Mercedes-AMG could do something like that. Precisely, I mean that it was the least model that I have expected to get a Champions Edition. However, it looks very cool and has (fortunately) nothing to do with the A-Class models from the early 2000.

The new version of the A-Class is probably the most compact performance athlete in the world. With its maximum output of 381 hp (280 kW) and its standard AMG Performance all-wheel drive and the front axle differential lock, the special edition is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.

So, as you can see, this A45 4MATIC runs on very large wheels, sized 19‑inch, painted in titanium grey and accentuated with a petrol green rim. The exterior of the car also features the one-off foiling of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS 2015 World Champion Edition. This means that every owner will literally take a part of the Formula 1 success from the race track to the road.

In details, the foiling includes the iconic petrol green and black highlights of the design of the winning F1 W06 HYBRID super model. In addition, the Champions Edition also received a streamlining package. At the front it includes a larger splitter and special flics, while the rear was enhanced with an extra roof spoiler. There are three paintworks available for this edition and they include mountain grey metallic, designo mountain grey magno and polar silver metallic.

Other equipment features include Night package, the AMG Performance seats, the AMG Exclusive package and the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package.

Interior Inspired by Motorsport

The cabin is too inspired by motorsport. Some of the very cool features here are the quality badge on the lid of the stowage compartment with the official lettering of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, the electronically adjustable Performance sports seats in leather/DINAMICA microfibre and contrasted with fine petrol green topstitching on the armrests and dashboard, the petrol green rings in the air vents plus the seat belts, and the petrol green highlight strips.

Mercedes-AMG A45 4MATIC Champions Edition will make a global debut at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in Yas Marina on 26 November. It will be available from January till May with a starting price of 65,402.40 euros. And I find it entirely worth this amount.

Volvo Introduces XC90 R-Design Model

Volvo XC90 R-Design Front View R-Design is the name of Volvo’s new version of the famous XC90 model. Why this SUV is so popular? Because it is characterized by sport design, with the R-Design being the sportiest among them. So, new here is the range of design, dynamic and equipment upgrades.

From the outside, the seven-seater is defined by 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, silver-effect door mirrors, gloss black mesh front grille and tinted rear windows. On the inside, the cabin is characterized by leather & nubuck sports seats, 12.3-inch active TFT driver’s information display and perforated leather-trimmed steering wheel. And by the way, it features gearshift paddles. The other goodies included inside include powered front passenger seat with memory function, sports pedals, black headlining, upgraded lighting and even a leather-clad remote key fob.

In terms of driving comfort, R-Design XC90 comes with Drive Mode Settings and Adjustable Steering Force and this is at no cost. On top of all, the entry-level XC90 Momentum models include a nine-inch touch screen control system, Sensus Navigation, two-zone climate control with CleanZone air quality system, LED headlights, power-operated tailgate with handsfree opening, and the Volvo On Call mobile application.

R-Design is currently being offered from Volvo UK. The trim level is available with the D5 diesel and T6 petrol Drive-E engines, and in T8 Twin Engine petrol-electric hybrid form. When it comes to pricing, it starts at £49,785.

Jeep Announces Details for the Limited Cherokee Night Eagle Edition

2016 Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle Jeep officially announced plans to continue the successful affair of the well-known Cherokee range of 4×4 vehicles. Brand also released details about Cherokee “Night Eagle”.

Based on the Longitude “Plus” mid-trim level, the Night Eagle will feature (how unexpected) black styling cues, and overall “black” concept. Especially designed in the well-known Cherokee spirit, the new Night Eagle will be limited to only 350 units. Vehicle’s bold appearance will focus on the distinctive visuals, satin-finished grey elements, bespoke grille design, fog light frames, black glossy roof and exclusive 18-inch black gloss alloy wheels. The sweetie will be offered in four color schemes: Brilliant Black, Bright White, Billet Silver and Granite Crystal.

Under the hood the Night Eagle hides a flexible 2.2-liter MultiJet II Turbo diesel power unit that delivers a total of 200hp (147kW), and a top speed of 228km/h (127mph). The engine is paired to a nine-speed automatic gearbox that altogether ensure the “Eagle” flies from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in 8.5 seconds. Impressive, right? Further good news is that despite the powerful drivetrain system, this Cherokee family member can still return 49,6 mpg fuel economy on the combined cycle. How cool is that?
