  • Aston Martin proudly reveals Vantage AMR beast!

    2019 Aston Martin Vantage AMR Renowned for delivering one of the most advanced drivetrain systems, Aston Martin Vantage lineup meets its latest member: Vantage AMR.

    Already launched at the FIA World Endurance Championship Super Season, the new model comes with a promise to deliver even better performance rates and even more enhanced looks and aerodynamic features. Let’s check out more, shall we?

    Drivetrain system

    The heart of the beast is a new alloy 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. What is special about this particular unit, is that it is mounted as far as possible, in order to ensure optimal center of gravity and near perfect 50:50 weight distribution. Furthermore, it is a highly efficient system that delivers a total of 510hp and 65Nm of torque, which are enough to ensure some pretty quick sprints: from 0 to 100km/h in mere 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 351km/h (195mph).

    Furthermore, Vantage AMR is equipped with a performance-focused 7-speed gearbox, exclusively developed by Graziano. It features a “dog-leg” first gear and is designed in such a way that the gearstick movement is based on the traditional double H pattern. This gearbox is mated to a limited-slip differential, tuned and calibrated exclusively by Aston Martin’s lead dynamics team, headed by Chief Engineer Matt Becker, from the team’s base at Silverstone Race Circuit.

    Additionally, the Vantage AMR’s manual gearbox also includes AMSHIFT. This is a special system, which uses clutch, gear position and prop shaft sensors, all along with fine-tuned engine management program in order to mimic the technique of heel-and-doe downshifts. The process of blipping the throttle while braking and changing gear allows smoother deceleration and more confident cornering as a result.

    Vantage AMR also comes with carbon ceramic brakes as standard – these not only ensure more dynamic driving experience, but also remove a total of 95kg of weight. Already notorious for its handling capabilities, Vantage AMR pushes the boundaries even further by incorporating a latest generation of damping system and this so-called Skyhook technology. It includes three selectable driving modes and tons of automatic changes to vehicle’s track and road behavior.

    2019 Aston Martin Vantage AMR

    Limited to just 200 units, Vantage AMR is available in five design specs. 141 of the vehicles will be available in Sabiro Blue, Onyx Black, China Grey or White Stone. The rest of the machines will be crafted in celebration of the 60th anniversary since the brand dominated the Le Mans race back in 1959. Sweet!

  • PEUGEOT at NEC: more electrified systems and advanced features for upcoming models

    2019 Peugeot Lineup NECPEUGEOT Boxer Electric will make its world debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show today, adding a zero-emission unit to the already appealing Boxer LCV range. This adds to PEUGEOT’s electrification plan, which will see all models in the lineup with electric engines by 2023. The vehicle on display at the NEC is L1H1 435 panel van.

    Also a first appearance will make the multi-award winning PEUGEOT Partner, which was voted International Van of the Year 2019, when launched last year. There will be two particular models on display: Partner BlueHDi 100 manual 950, which is by far the largest in the lineup, and the BlueHDi 100 Asphalt. The latest lineup is available in S, Grip, Professional and Asphalt specs.

    The Professional model on display comes with an enlarged list of standard goodies. These include: air conditioning, rear parking sensors, cruise control with variable speed limiter, automatic electronic parking brake, one touch electric windows with heated and electrically folding door mirrors, Multi-Flex modular folding passenger bench seat, DAB radio and smartphone incorporation.

    On the other hand, the Expert range offers the aid of BlueHDi 120 engine with stop and go function, air conditioning, rear parking sensors, electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, Moduwork configurable passenger bench seat with load-through bulkhead. Of course, there are also these already sweet features as large touchscreen, DAB Radio, USB socket, Bluetooth and MirrorLink functions.

    And last, but not least, the audience will witness the unveiling of 335 L3 H2 BlueHDi 130 Professional. What makes this trim appealing is the full steel bulkhead, cruise control, rear parking aid, DAB digital radio and the massive 1,525kg payload.

In fact, comfort and convenience can be further boosted with the optional 1,920-watt Bang & Olufsen 3D audio system!

  • G-POWER takes a closer look at a lucky BMW M2. The result is astonishing!

    2019 G-POWER BMW M2 F87With the evolution of the M2 to the M2 Competition, BMW M GmbH has reduced the gap between this lineup and the more prestigious M4. As you might know, at the moment event the base M2 models are powered by S55B30 twin-turbo engine, used in the M4 and M3 machines. This unit has been revised in order to deliver 410hp and tons of additional drivability functions.

    However, G-POWER has decided to take a closer look and offer impeccable revision and upgrade features. This latest tuning project includes a massive power output kick for the total of 680hp/860Nm. G-POWER engineers have also included numerous modifications to the M2 Competition turbochargers. There are also revisions made on the turbine wheel, along with changes to the exhaust system: there are new turbine blades with capped ends that reduce the exhaust gas temperature, making it safe to use higher boost pressures. The efficiency of these turbochargers has been maximized due to a CNC-milled exhaust and compressor housing with enlarged inlets and outlets.

    Additionally, the entire exhaust system is exclusively created by G-POWER and consists of high-grade stainless steel and two 90mm twin tailpipes.

    Following the modifications to the engine and exhaust, G-POWER Performance Software V4 now takes the role of the conductor, optimally coordinating the individual components in the hardware installation. It is fine-tuned in order to work in perfect harmony with G-POWER’s four-wheel chassis dynamometer.

    And last, but certainly not least, the revised G-POWER M2 Competition vehicle includes G2M RS coilovers and neat ultra-light G-POWER HURRICANE RR forged wheels, which provide a neat boost to the driving dynamics, thanks to the unsprung rotating masses. These are wrapped by 9×20″ with 245/30R20 high-performance tires on the steering axle of the M2 Competition and in 10.5×20″ with 285/25R20 rubber tires on the drive axle. Sweet!

    Designed in-house under the guidance of Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman, the Volante leaves fabric with the intention to be the most appealing and at the same time the most technologically advanced Aston Martin to date.

    DBS Superleggera Volante continues the aerodynamic body language of the predecessor and features new splitter and airdam work in unison, accelerating airflow and delivering more downforce, along with cooling for the front brakes.

    At the rear, the body design allows air to escape and flow smoothly along the vehicle’s flanks, while the double diffuser at the rear allows air to exit cleanly, while neutralizing lift as efficiently as possible. The revolutionary Aeroblade II system continues to deliver additional downforce at the rear, for a total of 177kg of downforce. Sweet!

    Aston Martin engineers and designers have worked hard in order to ensure the best possible roof and rear-end design. With class-leading height of 260mm, DBS Superleggera Volante proudly showcases smooth rear profile and maximum luggage capacity without sacrificing performance and aerodynamic features. In fact, as we talk about the roof, its mechanism has been put through more than 100,000 cycles, which simulate approximately 10 years of usage into one-month test. So, it is expected to do the job just fine!

    2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante

    Furthermore, Aston Martin team offers extensive levels of customization – there are a total of eight distinct exterior colors, personalized color for the hood and optional carbon-fiber finish for the screen surrounds. Sweet!

    Drivetrain system

    The new DBS Superleggera Volante is geared with brand’s signature 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, generating the massive 715hp and 900Nm of torque. This massive power ensures some pretty quick sprints and super high top speeds – 211mph. In terms of acceleration, results are more than satisfactory – 0-62mph in mere 3.6 seconds and 0-100mph are reached in 6.7 seconds. Sweet, right?

    This massive power is proceeded by a new ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox, mounted at the back of the vehicle. Strengthened to cope with the V12’s torque levels, this system features shorter final drive, which increases responsiveness and in-gear acceleration.

  • Kahn team reveals their depiction of a stylish Bentley machine!

    2019 Kahn Design Bentley Bentayga Centenary EditionStandard Bentley models are cool. In fact, these vehicles are so advanced and refined that sometimes I tend to believe they are just boring to watch. Everything is just so clean and perfect. However, Afzal Kahn team has decided to take a closer look at a certain Bentayga and try to make it even more dynamic and even sexier. Spoiler: the final result is stunning!

    The thing is that Kahn engineers and designers have kept the original expression and overall character and has just enhanced the menacing look and the refined luxury. This is a Centenary Edition model and comes with exclusive Black Pack styling pack that includes Gloss Black components for the interior and exterior.

    This means that the revising team has had even more challenging task, due to the good ol’ saying that if something is fine, you don’t try to fix it. However, we see a super sexy and incredibly well installed upgrade. And for the topping, there are exclusive Kahn 23-inch Le Mans Alloy Wheels wrapped by 295x35x23″ high performance Continental Tyres.

Key design cues include two signature stripes on the side of the vehicle and the painted trunk, hood, side mirrors and A-pillars on the accent door.

    Furthermore, the Anniversary Edition retains the sleek profile of the classic vehicles in the lineup and features low roofline, upswept quarter-window design and slope of the rear hatch. There are these neat boomerang shape headlights and redesigned LED daytime running lamps, blended with a distinct front bumper.

    Nissan engineers have included the trustworthy 3.7-liter V6 power unit that produces a total of 332hp and 270lb-ft of torque. What is special for this system is the innovative VVEL gadget that optimizes the intake valve, allowing air to be sent to the combustion chamber at the precise time it is needed.

    The 50th Anniversary Edition model also comes with a close-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox with synchronized downshift rev-matching system called SynchoRev Match. What it does, is to automatically control and adjust the engine speed when shifting to the exact speed of the next gear position, essentially giving this smooth and progressive acceleration and smooth up/down shifts.

    2020 Nissan Versa Nissan team, partnering with Live Nation, proudly unveils all-new 2020 Versa in the middle of a pop-up performance from popular country star Kane Brown.

    With its unique introduction, the revised Versa showcases new levels of refinement, dramatic design and tons of cutting-edge technology.

    2020 Versa is geared with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder power unit that offers 122hp and 114lb-ft of torque, mated to a revised Xtronic transmission or a standard 5-speed manual system.

    Ascari Blue metallic is the new body finish color that perfectly suits the expressive body styling and the dynamic driving character. Additionally, buyers will benefit from neat 19-inch 5-double-spoke design forged wheels and an anthracite bi-color finish. There are also optional 20-inch 10-spoke Y-design wheels and red caliper color, instead of the stock gray.

    The sporty nature of the vehicle is definitely felt inside. The entire cabin is driver-oriented and comes with some cutting edge technologies – Audi virtual cockpit, MMI navigation plus, LED interior lightning and premium Bang & Olufsen audio system. Furthermore, there are also optional interior colors available: Pastel Silver and Palomino Brown. Neat!

    2020 RS features a naturally aspirated V10 engine, Quattro AWD system and a functional and technologically advanced cabin controls. New for the model is the carbon-fiber front sway bar and the fine-tuned seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch gearbox. In fact, this transmission system ensures even faster gearshifts, compared to predecessor models and contributes to the super-quick 0-100km/h sprint in mere 3.4 seconds!

    However, the true star of the show is the new Decennium engine. Generating a total of 602hp and 413lb-ft of torque, this naturally aspirated 5.2 FSI power unit is the most powerful system ever equipped in an R8 model.

    Standard features include full LED headlights with LED daytime running lights and standard LED taillights with dynamic rear turn signals. Furthermore, the TT RS is offered with OLED rear taillights for an impressive 3D design.

    And last, but most certainly not least, 2019 TT RS can be specified with neat 19-inch 5-arm Audi Sport wheels in titanium matte finish and optional 20-inch Audi Sport 7-spoke design forged wheels with red brake calipers and a Sport exhaust system with black tips.

    Interior design

    The cabin is entirely driver-focused, which does not mean that any kind of comfort or utility features we compromised or removed. In fact, driver and passengers will enjoy a smooth ride with fine Nappa leather RS Sport seats with honeycomb stitching and deeply sculpted adjustable side bolsters.

    There are also Audi virtual cockpit, an entire digital instrument cluster with 3D graphics, Audi phone box, smartphone incorporation, Bang & Olufsen audio system and numerous more gadgets that altogether ensure pleasurable and rewarding driving experience.

    Drivetrain system

    New Audi TT RS comes with a 2.5-liter TFSI power unit, a distinctive five-cylinder system that generates a total of 394 horsepower and 35lb-ft of torque. This leads to a pretty fast 3.6-second sprint from 0 to 100km/h and also to a rather responsive and smooth acceleration, due to the exclusive 1-2-3-4-5-3 ignition sequence. This means that the ignition alternates between the adjacent cylinder and those further apart. Neat!

    The output power is proceeded via a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch gearboc that provides high levels of performance and acceleration. With S tronic dual-clutch gearbox, TT RS also offers a launch control program that allows a heightened level of acceleration through engine speed and automated clutch release. Additionally, the standard Quattro permanent AWD system comes with the capability to send nearly 100 per cent of the available torque to the rear wheels. At the same time, a dedicated traction control system manages the distribution for optimal acceleration with minimal slip.

  • Alfa Romeo Tonale Concept makes its home debut at Salone Internazionale del Mobile

    2019 Alfa Romeo Tonale ConceptThe 58th Salone Internazionale del Mobile has been chosen by Alfa Romeo team as the event for the national debut of the Tonale concept vehicle, brand’s first plug-in hybrid compact SUV.

    After the global debut in Geneva, Milan visitors will be able to see and admire the Alfa Romeo installation in Green Area 5 of the show, next to Hall 7 on Corso Italia. Held between 9th to 14th of April, the event demonstrates style, design and history of the entire Alfa Romeo lineup and reveals the trends of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

    Exterior design

    The body language of Tonale is defined by compact dimensions and these well-known Italian design with the typical original lines and curves of Alfa Romeo styling. Key features are the 21-inch wheels, full elegant volumes for the sides and a menacing front face. In fact, the front-end of the vehicle displays the trademark trefoil and the distinctive Alfa Romeo shield as a bold focal point, setting the tone for the speed and fluidity of Tonale. At the same time, the “3 plus 3” light clusters evoke the menacing look of SZ and Brea. At the rear, Tonal is embellished and softened by an enveloping window, completed by a suspended wing that enhances the continuity with the clear sunroof.

    Interior design

    The cabin is defined by the driver-focused styling and passenger comfort. Tonale ensures neat balance between harmony and tension, conveying the feeling that the entire vehicle is about to pounce. What defines the interior design styling is the set of premium materials as aluminum and leather Alcantara. Furthermore, there are translucent panels and a backlit central tunnel. At the same time, the passenger compartment is immersive, cozy and geared with the characteristics of dynamism. Sweet!
