  • Bentley GT Mulliner

    2021 GT Mulliner1

Bentley Mulliner is adding to its new Collections portfolio and creating the new luxury pinnacle of the Continental GT family with the new Continental GT Mulliner coupé. This sibling of the GT Mulliner Convertible celebrates modern craftsmanship and offers the client even wider possibilities to commission a unique Bentley to their individual specification.

The Continental GT Mulliner coupé makes its global debut at Salon Privé which is being staged on the grounds of Blenheim Palace, UK, from 22 September where it will be displayed alongside the Bentley Mulliner Bacalar, also making its public debut and an as-yet-unannounced example of the Mulliner Classic portfolio.

A suite of exclusive exterior design features separates the Continental GT Mulliner from the rest of the family.  At the front, the new ‘Double Diamond’ matrix grille defines the new Mulliner signature style, complemented by matching front fender vents echoing the same silver and black design and with chromed Mulliner branding. Approaching and opening either door reveals the other Mulliner design features – Satin Silver mirror caps with Mulliner Welcome Lamps beneath, and illuminated outer door sills with Mulliner text.

The car sits on new and unique 22” Mulliner wheels, with a bespoke design of elegant beauty in a painted and polished finish. The center badge of each wheel is self-leveling, keeping the iconic Bentley ‘B’ upright at all times.

The cabin of the Continental GT Mulliner is one defined by luxury and showcases a level of choice and customization that only Mulliner can provide. A unique color split is exclusive to the car, with a new combination of primary and secondary hide joined by a third color through a flowing design line.

Eight different three-color combinations are proposed by Mulliner, using Bentley’s palette of hides and threads to create striking yet elegant contrast throughout the cabin.

The Mulliner Driving Specification is fitted as standard, bringing the “Diamond in Diamond” quilting to the seats, doors trims, and rear quarter panels, now with both contrast and accent stitching running through the diamond’s design.

It takes almost 400,000 stitches to deliver this quilting across the cabin of the car, with each diamond containing exactly 712 individual stitches – each one precisely aligned to point to the center of the diamond it creates. Developing the embroidery process to deliver this process alone took 18 months.

The seats themselves are finished with embroidered Mulliner logos. The floor mats are edged with micro-piping to match the rest of the color theme of the interior and chrome Bentley ‘B’ retention caps are an example of the fine details that separate the Continental GT Mulliner.

The roof of the cabin is trimmed along its full length with indented hide, or smooth hide to match the seatbacks if the fixed glass roof is selected.

The centre console is dressed in a new diamond milled technical finish that uses precision machining to form a perfect pattern of facets, flanked either side by Grand Black walnut veneer with chrome overlays. A unique Breitling clock sits in the center of the console, while the passenger side fascia is finished with a silhouette of the car’s exterior profile and the Mulliner logo. The veneer flows into the doors, where it is completed by a discreet Bentley ‘B’ motif.

For the driver, the brushed-metal finish of the Breitling clock is carried through from the physical world to the digital, with a unique design to the main gauges of the LED main instruments cluster where careful skeuomorphic design and the application of digital textures makes the virtual dials look like real metal.

Further personalization is available through a range of 88 contemporary, colorized veneer finishes that can be matched to the interior or exterior of the car. Burr walnut veneer is hand-sanded and polished to produce a perfectly smooth finish before painting to match the colour of the customer’s choice. Once dry, the veneer is polished to achieve a mirror-like finish.

Customers of the Continental GT Mulliner can choose either Bentley’s iconic 6.0-liter W12 powertrain delivering 635 PS (626 bhp), or its sublime 4.0-litre V8 offering 550 PS (542 bhp), for a level of performance to juxtapose the car’s handcrafted luxury.

Bentley’s pioneering 48V electric active anti-roll technology – Bentley Dynamic Ride – is fitted as standard*, delivering incredible body control and stability during cornering and a relaxed, cosseting ride when cruising.

Orders for both coupe and convertible versions of the Continental GT Mulliner will be taken from October, with first deliveries beginning early next year. Customers of the Continental GT Mulliner will receive the keys to their car in a bespoke, Mulliner-branded, and handcrafted presentation box containing individual leather pouches matching the three-color interior configuration of their car.

The extensive powertrain choice includes our latest Ingenium petrol and diesel engines which feature advanced technologies and provide the perfect blend of performance, refinement, and efficiency.”

All-wheel drive is standard across all F-PACE models and Intelligent Driveline Dynamics provides rear-wheel drive biased performance, with the ability to vary torque to individual axles almost instantly depending on conditions.

The new F-PACE chassis has been updated to support the introduction of the new electrified engines as well as enabling the latest JaguarDrive Control and new Auto Vehicle Hold.

The latest JaguarDrive Control features Comfort, Eco, Rain-Ice-Snow, and Dynamic modes, which can be chosen manually by the driver based on the road conditions. The settings, selected through a new rotary dial next to the all-new Drive Selector, adapt the F-PACE’s steering, transmission, throttle, and (when specified) Adaptive Dynamics settings.

Auto Vehicle Hold provides added convenience and smoother operation than conventional Automatic Hill Hold. The new technology holds the brakes for an unlimited period of time when stationary on a gradient, gently releasing the brakes only when the driver depresses the accelerator to drive away.

    Cutting-edge connected technologies

The new F-PACE features Jaguar’s advanced Electronic Vehicle Architecture, dubbed EVA 2.0, which supports a range of new technologies to ensure the future-ready vehicle is always connected and always up to date.

The latest Pivi Pro infotainment technology is accessed through the all-new 11.4-inch curved glass HD touchscreen. Key benefits include enhanced clarity, the screen is three times brighter and 48% larger than the previous 10-inch screen, and the simplified menu structures allow drivers to access or view up to 90 percent of common tasks from the home screen in two taps or less.

To help drivers access vital information quickly, new F-PACE also features a new 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Display (standard fit on SE and HSE derivatives) with enhanced graphics and a configurable layout which can show full-screen navigation mapping with turn-by-turn instructions, digital dials, media, contact list or infotainment details. The rechargeable device incorporates a watch and has a battery life of up to seven days between charges.

The new Guardian Mode (the UK only) also uses a timer to provide added security and peace of mind when using the Secure app. It allows customers to identify times when the vehicle will be inactive, for example through the night, and receive alerts to their smartphone if it is used during this window – giving immediate warning of any unauthorized movements.

The new F-PACE also benefits from a selection of advanced driver assistance technology. This includes Clear Exit Monitor, which alerts both front and rear occupants to the presence of an approaching car or cyclist when exiting the vehicle. Adaptive Cruise Control (standard on HSE) automatically maintains a set distance from the vehicle in front.

Jaguar’s latest 3D Surround Camera technology delivers advanced 3D functionality using the latest camera technology to deliver more detail and a choice of real-time viewing when maneuvering the vehicle. The selection of settings includes Junction View, 3D Perspective View, and ClearSight Plan View.

Jaguar’s commitment to creating strong and lightweight vehicles continues with the new
F-PACE. The aluminum-intensive architecture uses recycled aluminum from closed-loop manufacturing for greater sustainability and is an important contribution towards Jaguar’s journey to Destination Zero, a world of zero emissions, zero accidents, and zero congestion.

  • Maserati MC20

    2021 Maserati MC201

Maserati enters the new Era with MC20, the new super sports car that combines performance, sportiness, and luxury in the unique Maserati style. MC20 was presented to the world in Modena on 9 September during the “MMXX: Time to be audacious” event.

The new MC20 (MC for Maserati Corse and 20 for 2020, the year of its world première and the start of the Brand’s new Era) is the Maserati everyone was waiting for. It is a car with incredible aerodynamic efficiency, which conceals a sporty soul, with the new Nettuno engine, a 630 horsepower V6 with a torque of 730 Nm that delivers 0-100 km/h acceleration in under 2,9 seconds and a top speed over 325 km an hour. An engine that signals Maserati’s return to producing its own power units after a hiatus of more than 20 years.

The MC20 is an extremely lightweight car under 1,500 kg (kerb weight), and thanks to its power output of 630 hp it comes out best in class in weight/power ratio, at just 2.33 kg/hp. This record is achieved through the use of choice quality materials, exploiting all the potentials of carbon fiber without any sacrifices with regard to comfort.

Nettuno, the first engine in this new chapter of the Trident’s history, is the MC20’s twin-turbo V6, a technologic gem already awarded an international patent, which puts the MTC (Maserati Twin Combustion) technology, the ground-breaking combustion system developed in-house, onto the world’s roads.

Overall, this revolutionary project has resulted in a car that epitomizes Italian excellence. In fact, MC20 was designed in Modena and will be built at the Viale Ciro Menotti plant, where the Trident’s models have been built for more than 80 years. The new production line, created in the spaces where the GranTurismo and GranCabrio models were assembled until November 2019, is now ready for action in the historic plant. The site also features a new PaintShop incorporating innovative, environment-friendly technologies. Nettuno will also be built in Modena, at the newly established Maserati Engine Lab.

The MC20 design was produced in about 24 months, with the involvement from the outset, in an innovative approach, of a team of Maserati Innovation Lab engineers, technical specialists from the Maserati Engine Lab, and designers from the Maserati Style Centre.

The Virtual Vehicle Dynamics Development system, which includes the use of one of the world’s most advanced dynamic simulators, was developed in-house by the Maserati Innovation Lab and is based on a complex mathematical model called Virtual Car. This method allowed the performance of 97% of dynamic tests, optimizing development times. The car was then fine-tuned in the best Maserati tradition with exhaustive track and road test-driving sessions in the most widely varying conditions of use.

The guiding theme of the MC20’S design was the Brand’s historic identity, with all the elegance, performance, and comfort integral to its genetic make-up. The focus on performance led to the conception of a car with a distinct personality, with unmistakable forms that render it unique.

The butterfly doors are not only stunningly beautiful but also functional, as they improve the car’s ergonomics and enable optimal access to and from the cabin.

The aerodynamics were designed through over two thousand man-hours in the Dallara Wind Tunnel and more than a thousand CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations, which enabled the creation of a genuine work of art. The resulting car has a sleek line, with no mobile appendages but just a discreet rear spoiler that improves downforce without detracting from the MC20’s beauty. The CX is more under 0,38.

The MC20 is designed to enable coupé and convertible versions and for full-electric power.

Once inside the cabin, the driver is always central, and nothing must distract them from the sporting driving experience. Every component has a purpose and is completely driver-oriented. Simple forms, very few sharp edges, and minimal distractions. Two 10 inch screens: one for the cockpit and the other for the Maserati Multimedia System (MIA). Simplicity is also the keynote of the carbon fiber-clad central console, with just a few features: the wireless smartphone charger, the driving mode selector (GT, Wet, Sport, Corsa, and a fifth, ESC Off, which deactivates the control functions), two-speed selection buttons, the power window controls, the Multimedia System controls, and a handy storage compartment underneath the armrest. All the other controls are on the steering wheel, with the ignition button on the left and the launch control on the right.

The new MC20 will be connected at all times with the Maserati Connect program. The full range of services includes connected navigation, Alexa, and Wifi Hotspot and can also be managed through the Maserati Connect smartphone or smartwatch app.

For the launch, Maserati has also developed six new colors to characterize MC20: Bianco Audace, Giallo Genio, Rosso Vincente, Blu Infinito, Nero Enigma, and Grigio Mistero. Each of them has been conceived, designed, and developed exclusively for this car and they all convey important themes: a strong reference to Made in Italy, to Italian identity, and to the land, as well as one linked to Maserati tradition.

Both visually and conceptually, there are strong references to the MC12, the car that marked Maserati’s racing comeback in 2004. In the same way as its predecessor, MC20, with its explicitly racing soul clear from its name alone, announces the intention to return to the world of racing.

  • Volkswagen Golf Estate R Line

    2021 Golf Estate R Line1

World premiere for the new Golf Estate: the compact estate is now even more spacious, dynamic, and digital than ever before. The greater amounts of available space, comprehensive standard features, and new drive types with mild hybrid and twin dosing technology represent pioneering characteristics. The new Golf Alltrack as the all-wheel-drive Golf Estate with SUV genes is also making its debut. In Germany pre-sales for the Golf Estate will start tomorrow, 10 September, while further European countries will gradually follow.

Member of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars Board of Management responsible for Sales, Jürgen Stackmann: “as a compact, spacious model, the Golf Estate has already impressed more than 3 million customers since its debut in 1993. The latest generation inspires with its beautiful design and, with the most advanced cockpit in its segment, takes a giant step towards digitalization.

In addition, it scores high marks with efficient drives, maximum safety, and significantly more space – the perfect family car. And those who are looking for something more sporty will love the new Golf Alltrack. As a crossover between the Golf Estate and an SUV, it offers the perfect combination of space, innovation, and fun even off paved roads thanks to its all-wheel drive.“

Appealing vehicle exterior. In comparison with its predecessor, the new Golf Estate’s exterior design has become more clear-cut and dynamic. The front end clearly shows its close relation to the new Golf. Further back, the Estate shows its typical uniqueness featuring a roof section that becomes flattered towards the rear as well as a coupé-type, angled rear window. The new generation is 4,633 mm long and now boasts a wheelbase of 2,686 mm (respectively a 66 mm increase compared with its predecessor). This increase in length rearranges the proportions and makes the Golf Estate appear more elongated and flatter. The headlights and taillight clusters always feature LED technology.

Spacious vehicle interior. The increased exterior length and wheelbase benefit the vehicle interior of the Golf Estate. Five passengers can be accommodated in comfort in the new Golf Estate as the additional wheelbase length is used almost entirely for the interior. The interior length increases by 48 mm to 1,798 mm. As the legroom thereby also increases by 48 mm, the extra space has a particularly noticeable positive effect, especially in the rear. Passengers can stow their luggage in a generously dimensioned luggage compartment: when loaded up to the top edge of the rear seat backrest, it offers 611 liters of stowage space (6 liters more compared with the Golf Estate 7). With the vehicle loaded up to the roofline with an integrated luggage compartment net and the front seat backrests, the volume increases to 1,642 liters (an increase of 22 liters). If both hands are busy holding shopping or luggage, the optionally available, electrically operated rear boot lid can alternatively be opened using the sensor-controlled luggage compartment opener – by means of a foot gesture in front of the Golf Estate’s rear bumper.

New drive systems offer pure efficiency. Take the eTSI with 48 V technology and 7- speed dual-clutch gearbox, for example a 48 V belt-driven starter-alternator, 48 V lithium-ion battery, and the TSI engine merge to form a new mild-hybrid drive system. The benefits of the new eTSI include a significantly lower consumption, as the Golf Estate switches off the turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine whenever possible to coast along without generating any local emissions. For this reason, all eTSI engines have been paired up with an automatic dual-clutch gearbox (7-speed DSG) as standard. Without DSG the imperceptible changeover between coasting phase and TSI drive would not be possible. Moreover, the 7-speed DSG shifts gear very economically to thus also preserve energy. Innovative TDI engines are also available for the Golf Estate: in this case, so-called twin dosing – dual AdBlue® injection featuring two SCR catalytic converters (Selective Catalytic Reduction) – significantly cuts nitrogen oxide emissions (NOx) to make the soon-available TDI engines some of the world’s cleanest and most efficient diesel engines in the world.

New equipment lines and comprehensive standard features. Volkswagen has reconfigured the Golf Estate’s equipment matrix: above the basic “Golf” version, there will now be the “Life”, “Style” and “R-Line” equipment lines. The basic model’s enhanced standard features already include the Lane Assist lane departure warning system, Front Assist with City Emergency Braking System and Pedestrian Monitoring, the new oncoming vehicle braking when turning function, XDS electronic differential lock, the Car2X traffic hazard alert, the keyless comfort start system Keyless Start and automatic lighting control. Always as standard in the vehicle interior: Digital Cockpit Pro (digital instruments), Composition online infotainment system with 8.25-inch touchscreen, We Connect and We Connect Plus online services and functions, a multifunction steering wheel, Air Care Climatronic automatic air conditioner, and a Bluetooth telephone interface.

Independent model variant: the new Golf Alltrack. The second generation of the Golf Alltrack will also be launched together with the new Golf Estate. As a so-called crossover between the Golf Estate and the SUV world, the new Golf Alltrack features permanent all-wheel drive (4MOTION) as standard, increased ground clearance, an all-terrain look including specific bumpers, and a custom interior. With this equipment, the vehicle also proves to be a true all-rounder beyond paved roads, and thanks to permanent all-wheel drive it is suitable as a towing vehicle with a maximum trailer weight of 2,000 kg. In all other respects, the Golf Alltrack technically corresponds to the new Golf Estate: in addition to the digitalized cockpit, features include optional assist systems, such as Travel Assist (assisted driving up to 210 km/h) and the new IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights.

Successful model. The Golf Estate has formed a permanent part of the Golf product range since 1993 with around 3 million units sold. To this day, a total of five generations of the model have been launched, each based on the hatchback version platform of the respective Golf generation. The models aiming to satisfy global demands are currently produced at the Wolfsburg site in Germany.

Standard on all Defender P400e models is 20-inch alloy wheels, Electronic Air Suspension, and a charging port located on the left-hand side of the vehicle. All PHEV variants come with a Mode 3 charging cable as standard, while an optional Mode 2 cable is also available. The Mode 3 charging cable enables charging to 80 percent in two hours while charging via a Mode 2 cable will take around seven hours to charge to 80 percent – perfect for home charging overnight. Using a 50kW rapid charger, the P400e charges to 80 percent capacity in 30 minutes.

The Defender P400e is available with the option of five or six seats, standard three-zone climate control, Privacy Glass, and Solar Attenuating Glass. Specific to the PHEV variant is regenerative braking, a key technological component in achieving impressive fuel economy, recuperating energy lost under deceleration and braking, and sending it back into the battery pack.

The PHEV powertrain brings superior off-road capabilities too. The linear torque delivery enabled by the electric motor and smooth, powerful petrol engine combine for ultimate flexibility, working seamlessly with the advanced systems that make Defender the toughest and most durable Land Rover.

Defender offers high and low range off-road capabilities in full-electric mode, alongside delivering superior off-road geometry for a plug-in hybrid vehicle, ensuring Defender’s immense capability is shared across all engine and powertrain options.

These characteristics are also key to the Defender’s ability to tow – the P400e can tow up to 3,000kg and is capable of carrying a roof load of 168kg (dynamic) or 300kg (static).

New Ingenium in-line six-cylinder diesel engine and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive
A new in-line six-cylinder diesel option from the Ingenium engine family is now available, offering enhanced torque delivery, smooth responses, and improved fuel economy thanks to its Mild-Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology and a new Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system.

Sitting at the top of the range, the D300 delivers enhanced power and torque, with 300PS and 650Nm of torque, providing a 0-60mph time of 6.3 seconds (0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds) for the Defender 90. The higher torque figure means the Defender D300 provides effortless performance both on and off-road, perfectly fitting Defender’s tough character.

The MHEV technology contributes to enhanced fuel economy through an efficient Stop/Start system which cuts the engine at a standstill, as well as recuperating energy normally lost under braking or decelerating. This energy is then sent back into the battery pack and can be redeployed later. A key benefit of MHEV is that this energy is used when accelerating, delivering faster responses for greater performance.

The new intelligent driveline system continually varies axle torque based on sensor data from the vehicle’s surroundings and driver inputs to distribute all torque to one axle or the other as required. This intelligent torque distribution system optimizes the driveline for traction, on-road dynamics, and driveline efficiency, resulting in improved fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions – all without sacrificing any of Defender’s inherent off-road capability.

In combination with MHEV technology and the superior refinement of the in-line six-cylinder engine, the diesel Defenders are more economical, more responsive, and more refined than the engines they supersede.

The D200 and D240 become D200 and D250 models for 2021, using the same in-line six-cylinder Ingenium engine as the D300 with 200PS and 249PS respectively. An uplift in torque delivers enhanced usability, with 500Nm (D200) and 570Nm (D250) available, utilizing MHEV technology to boost fuel efficiency and reduce emissions across the diesel Defender line-up.

The new Ingenium D200 and D250 return 32.2mpg (8.8l/100km), and CO2 emissions as low as 230g/km, and 0-60mph in 9.5 seconds (0-100km/h in 10.2 seconds) and 7.9 seconds (0-100km/h in 8.3 seconds) respectively on Defender 110.

    Defender X-Dynamic
The New X-Dynamic trim expands the choice of specifications in the Defender range.

The X-Dynamic’s name gives a clue to its identity. Like all Defender models, it’s supremely capable and tough, but with a suite of enhancements to deliver a tougher look and feel, courtesy of exterior accents, including Silicon Satin front and rear skid pans, with matching grille bar and badging plus Rear Recovery Loops in Satin Black.

All alloy wheels come in Satin Dark Grey/Gloss Black finish, alongside Narvik Black mirror caps, window decals, and lower sill and wheel arch cladding.

Inside, unique elements include illuminated metal treadplates and Robustec seat material in Duotone color finish with Robustec ribbon accent and Console Finishers.

Robustec is a highly robust and protective material inspired by textiles used in extreme outdoor situations. It’s hard-wearing and resistant to abrasions, with a hexagonal pattern and unique texture that adds greater depth to the Defender’s interior. Inspired by workman’s gloves and patches on motorbike jackets, it follows Defender’s theme of being entirely fit for purpose with carefully thought-out materials that are attractive but entirely suitable, robust, and hard-wearing.

The Robustec material is standard on all X-Dynamic models in a range of colorways dependent on the specification pack. Defender X-Dynamic S and SE models feature Duotone Grained Leather with Robustec accent, while the X-Dynamic HSE features Duotone Windsor Leather with Robustec accent. All come in a choice of Ebony, Khaki, and Ebony Duotone or Acorn and Lunar Duotone seat colors.

X-Dynamic interior badging and center console finishers also distinguish the new addition, alongside the Light Grey Cross-Car Beam Powder Coat, Ebony Morzine headlining and Eiger Grey satin door handles.

Greater personalization with new colors and options
Individual options and packs have changed across the Defender line-up, including a broader selection of exterior color options, making the Defender more customizable than ever.

The new colors are Yulong White, Silicon Silver, Hakuba Silver, and Carpathian Grey, with white or black Contrast Roofs available with all colors.

Individual options now available to expand the Defender’s existing specification include the Folding Fabric Roof for Defender 110, Premium LED headlights with Signature DRL, Meridian Sound System, Head-Up Display.

Expanding the number of bundled option packs, the Defender can now be specified with a Blind Spot Assist Pack and a choice of a Family Pack or Family Pack Plus. The Family Pack adds third-row seating with a three-zone climate with rear cooler and Cabin Air Ionisation, while the Family Pack Plus brings heated third-row seats.

    Defender 90
Alongside the Defender 110, the Defender 90 gives customers even more scope to choose the perfect model.

Powered by the same range of powerful and capable petrol and diesel Ingenium engines featuring Mild-Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology, the Defender 90 is available with up to six seats when fitted with the jump seat in the front row.

Petrol Defender options include the powerful P300 and P400 with MHEV technology, alongside the new in-line six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine in D200, D250, and D300 power outputs. • Jeep Wrangler 4xe Rubicon

    2021-Jeep-Wrangler-4xe-Rubicon1

The Jeep® brand has introduced its new Wrangler 4xe, marking the arrival of the most capable, technically advanced, and eco-friendly Wrangler ever. Jeep Wrangler 4xe models will be available in Europe, China, and the United States by early 2021. The Jeep Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe models – introduced last year in Geneva – began arriving in Europe this summer. The new Jeep 4xe models follow the introduction of the Jeep Grand Commander PHEV in China last year.

The Wrangler 4xe’s plug-in hybrid powertrain is capable of up to 25 miles of nearly silent, zero-emission, electric-only propulsion, making it commuter-friendly as an all-electric daily driver without range anxiety and the most capable and eco-friendly Jeep vehicle off-road – combined with the open-air freedom that only Jeep Wrangler offers.

Jeep will offer electrification options on each nameplate in the next few years as it strives to become the leader in eco-friendly premium technology. Electrified Jeep vehicles will carry the 4xe badge. Jeep electric vehicles will be the most efficient and responsible Jeep vehicles ever, taking performance, 4×4 capability, and driver confidence to the next level.

“Our Jeep 4xe vehicles will be the most efficient, responsible, and capable that the brand has ever created,” said Christian Meunier, Global President of Jeep Brand – FCA. “We are committed to making Jeep the greenest SUV brand. The electrification of the Jeep lineup will allow commuters to travel solely on electric power, delivering an efficient and fun on-road experience and offering an ability to enjoy even more Jeep capability off-road in nearly complete silence.”

The Wrangler 4xe’s advanced powertrain provides a unique on- and off-road experience through the combination of two electric motors, a high-voltage battery pack, a high-tech 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine, and robust TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. The most advanced powertrain ever developed for a Jeep Wrangler maximizes efficiency with an estimated 50 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) while eliminating range anxiety, delivering pure-electric operation for most daily commutes.

Torque from the electric motors in the Wrangler 4xe’s hybrid powertrain arrives instantly on-demand from the driver. The powertrain also delivers fuel-saving, seamless, start-stop operation of the engine.

Jeep has demonstrated 4×4 capability leadership for nearly 80 years. Jeep vehicles were the first to feature an automatic full-time four-wheel-drive system, the first 4:1 transfer case, and the first electronic front sway-bar disconnect system. Merging electrification into the product lineup is a natural evolution.

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe will be sold globally, with electric vehicle (EV) charge port plugs tailored to specific regions. It is assembled at FCA’s Toledo Assembly Complex in Toledo, Ohio.

Wrangler 4xe Advanced Powertrain Combines Electric Motors, Turbo Engine
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe powertrain integrates two electric motors and a 400-volt battery pack with a fuel-efficient, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine and TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. This configuration maximizes the efficiency of the hybrid propulsion components and mates them with the Wrangler’s world-renowned and proven driveline.

Key elements of the Wrangler 4xe powertrain include 375 horsepower (280 kW), 470 lb.-ft. (637 N•m) of torque and an estimated 50 MPGe from the following components:

    • 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4
    • Engine-mounted motor-generator unit
    • Transmission-mounted motor-generator unit integrated into eight-speed automatic transmission (ZF 8P75PH)
    • 400-volt, 17-kWh, 96-cell lithium-ion, nickel manganese cobalt battery pack

The 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine is part of FCA’s Global Medium Engine family. The high-tech, direct-injection engine uses a twin-scroll, low-inertia turbocharger mounted directly to the cylinder head, along with a dedicated cooling circuit for the turbocharger, intake air, and throttle body for exceptional responsiveness, performance, and fuel efficiency.

A high-voltage, liquid-cooled motor generator unit mounts at the front of the engine, replacing the conventional alternator. A robust belt connects the motor-generator to the engine crankshaft pulley. The motor-generator spins the engine for nearly seamless, fuel-saving, start-stop operation and generates electricity for the battery pack. The Wrangler 4xe does not use a conventional 12-volt starter motor. The Wrangler 4xe is equipped with a 12-volt battery to run accessories.

The second high-voltage motor-generator is mounted at the front of the transmission case, replacing the conventional torque converter of an automatic transmission.
Two clutches work to manage power and torque from the e-motor and engine. A binary clutch (on/off) is mounted between the engine and the motor. When this clutch is open there is no mechanical linkage between the engine and the e-motor, which enables it to propel the Wrangler 4xe in electric-only mode.

When the binary clutch is closed, torque from the 2.0-liter engine and the e-motor flow combine through the automatic transmission. A variable clutch mounted behind the e-motor manages engagement with the transmission to improve drivability and efficiency.

    Battery Pack Preserves Interior Room
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe’s 400-volt, 17-kWh, 96-cell lithium-ion battery pack uses nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) graphite chemistry. The pack and controls mount underneath the second-row seat, where it is protected from outside elements. The Wrangler 4xe’s second-row seat is redesigned, allowing the bottom cushion to flip forward for access to the battery.

Encased in an aluminum housing, the pack is fitted with a dedicated heating and cooling circuit to keep the battery at its optimum temperature for best performance. The temperature control circuit includes a dedicated heater unit and a chiller that uses the Wrangler air-conditioning refrigerant to reduce coolant temperature when needed.

The Wrangler 4xe hybrid system includes an Integrated Dual Charging Module (ICDM), which combines a battery charger and a DC/DC converter in a single unit that is more compact than two separate components, and a next-generation Power Inverter Module (PIM) that is reduced in size. These components are housed and protected from damage in a steel structure mounted below the battery pack.

All high-voltage electronics, including the wiring between the battery pack and the electric motors, are sealed and waterproof. Like all Trail Rated Jeep Wranglers, the Wrangler 4xe is capable of water fording up to 30 inches (76 cm).

The electric charge port features a push-open/push-close cover and is located on the left front cowl of the Wrangler 4xe for convenient nose-in parking at charging locations. The charge port includes LED indicators of charging status. An LED battery level monitor is mounted on top of the instrument panel, making it easy to check the battery state of charge at a glance during charging.

    Wrangler 4xe E Selec Modes
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe driver can tailor the hybrid powertrain to best suit each trip, whether it is filling the needs of most daily commuters in pure-electric operation, a night on the town, or quietly exploring nature off-road.

The Wrangler 4xe hybrid powertrain has three modes of operation, known as E Selec. The driver can select the desired powertrain mode via buttons mounted on the instrument panel, to the left of the steering wheel. Regardless of the mode selected, the Wrangler 4xe operates as hybrid once the battery nears its minimum state of charge.

    • Hybrid: The default mode blends torque from the 2.0-liter engine and electric motor. In this mode, the powertrain will use battery power first, then add in propulsion from the 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 when the battery reaches the minimum state of charge
    • Electric: The powertrain operates on zero-emission electric power only until the battery reaches the minimum charge or the driver requests more torque (such as wide-open throttle), which engages the 2.0-liter engine
    • eSave: Prioritises propulsion from the 2.0-liter engine, saving the battery charge for later use, such as EV off-roading or urban areas where internal combustion propulsion is restricted. The driver can also choose between Battery Save and Battery Charge during eSave via the Hybrid Electric Pages in the Uconnect monitor

To help optimize the benefit of the E Selec modes, the Wrangler 4xe driver information display and the Uconnect touchscreen feature Eco Coaching Pages. The Eco Coaching Pages let owners monitor power flow and see the impact of regenerative braking, schedule charging times to take advantage of lower electric rates, and view their driving history with detail of electric and gasoline usage.

Regenerative braking is a key part of the Wrangler 4xe eco-friendly equation. When the driver steps on the brake pedal, the powertrain control engages the maximum available regenerative braking, up to 0.25 g, from the electric motors to slow the vehicle, augmented with the Wrangler’s traditional friction brakes. The regenerative braking feature also extends the replacement period for brake pads.

With 4×4 engaged, all four wheels feed torque for regenerative braking, maximizing the energy recovery. Electricity due to regenerative braking is fed to the battery pack to maintain or increase the state of charge.

The Wrangler 4xe also features the ability to maximize regenerative energy production via a driver-selectable Max Regen feature.

When Max Regen is engaged, a more assertive regenerative braking calibration occurs when the vehicle sees zero throttle input from the driver (coasting). Max Regen can slow the Wrangler 4xe faster than standard regenerative braking and generate more electricity for the battery pack. Once selected, the Max Regen feature remains engaged until the driver deselects it.

    Off-road Legend
Jeep Wrangler’s heritage is defined by its legendary off-road capability. All Wrangler 4xe power modes are available when the drivetrain is shifted to 4Lo. The seamless integration of electric power into the 4×4 drivetrain elevates the Wrangler 4xe to new levels of off-road performance.

Enthusiasts will find that the instant availability of torque from the Wrangler 4xe’s electric motor delivers a more precise and controlled driving experience for climbing and crawling – there’s no need to build up engine rpm to get the tires to move, minimizing driveline shock loading and maximizing control and speed.

In EV mode, the Wrangler 4xe treads lightly and silently, conserving fuel and allowing occupants to focus solely on the sights and full sounds of nature.

The new Jeep Wrangler 4xe is available in three models: 4xe, Sahara 4xe, and Rubicon 4xe. Wrangler 4xe and Wrangler Sahara 4xe models are equipped with full-time 4×4 systems, front and rear next-generation Dana 44 axles and are fitted with the Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio. The intuitive system allows the driver to set it and forget it in any environment.

An available Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential provides extra grip and capability in low-traction situations, such as driving over sand, gravel, snow, or ice.

Wrangler Rubicon 4xe models carry the Rock-Trac 4×4 system that includes a two-speed transfer case with a 4:1 low-range gear ratio, full-time 4×4, front and rear next-generation Dana 44 axles, Tru-Lok electric front- and rear-axle lockers. The Wrangler Rubicon 4xe has an impressive crawl ratio of 77.2:1, which makes scaling any obstacle easy. Wrangler Rubicon models also offer improved articulation and total suspension travel with help from a front axle, electronic sway-bar disconnect. Together, these components contribute to the maximum off-road prowess Wrangler Rubicon is known for.

The Wrangler 4xe includes Selec-Speed Control with Hill-ascent and Hill-descent Control. This allows drivers to control vehicle speed up and down steep, rugged grades with the transmission shift lever.

Jeep Renegade 4xe and Jeep Compass 4xe
Presented globally in March 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show, the new Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe are the first Jeep models with plug-in hybrid electric technology available in Europe. Their arrival was celebrated in January with the exclusive First Edition – a special launch edition made available for customer previews and pre-booking on a dedicated website for select European markets. Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe began arriving in the European market this summer. Both Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe models feature a no-compromise hybrid solution that integrates the unmatched technical layout of each Jeep SUV and takes their capability to the next level through some of the most advanced technology, which combines enhanced performance (up to 240 horsepower), improved safety (four-wheel drive is always available) and low environmental impact (less than 50 g/km of CO2 in the hybrid mode).

The combination of a 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and the electric unit guarantees performance and extraordinary driving pleasure: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 7.5 seconds and full electric top speed is 130 km/h, which reaches 200 km/h in the hybrid mode.

With the new hybrid technology, Jeep Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe further improve their benchmark off-road capability courtesy of the greater torque offered by the combination between the two power sources. Thanks to the new Jeep 4xe technology, traction to the rear axle is not provided by a prop shaft, but through the dedicated electric motor. This allows the two axles to be separated and control the torque independently in a more effective way than a mechanical system, giving an instant electric boost to the rear wheels when needed.

The new Jeep Renegade 4xe and Jeep Compass 4xe began arriving in Jeep dealerships across Europe this summer with a full lineup to include Limited, S, and Trailhawk trim, all with four-wheel-drive configuration.

  • Porsche BlackBox Cayenne

Nebulus Porsche Cayenne by BLACK BOX-RICHTER

Magnificent, unique, and literally damn fast: The Porsche Cayenne from the lifestyle brand Nebulus is a very special vehicle. Nebulus’ motto is to offer customers Nebulus branded clothing at a fair price. Independent, eye-catching design, high-quality standards, and perfect customer service have top priority at Nebulus. An owner-managed company from Lower Bavaria with a sense of fashion and lifestyle. The Nebulus brand was launched 13 years ago and is loved by millions of customers around the world.

Black Box-Richter in Schardenberg, Austria, and their owner Mingo RICHTER are known for truly unusual kinds of adhesive vinyl wraps. In cooperation with HGP Turbo Retrofitting and 811 design, a Porsche Cayenne from Nebulus was both performance-enhanced and perfectly wrapped in vinyl foil. The Black Box Richter team has now given the object of desire – the Porsche Cayenne – a new design.

In order to increase performance, the product range of HGP Turbo in Ohmden was utilized. After adjusting the engine control and removing the Vmax limitation, a large-volume air filter box, and a sports air filter insert was installed, each with “HGP-turbo” lettering. Interested observers will find large-volume intake hoses (in blue or black) as well as intake manifolds with an enlarged cross-section in front of the turbochargers. The series turbochargers were processed in such a way that larger turbine shafts and the same compressor wheels were installed. Reinforced thrust bearings and enlarged turbocharger inputs have been added as well. The boost pressure sensors have also been changed. All of this, of course, with the approval of the TÜV. The vehicle’s diagnostic capability remains intact, and the manufacturer cannot overwrite it. On request, the performance increase to 962 hp (= 707 kW) and 1.250 Nm can be retrofitted at any time.

Finally, the full vinyl wrapping requires special mention. First of all, the basic color white metallic glossy was completely wrapped in the PWF special color Obsidian black matte. After that, an additional layer of Ruby-red vinyl was applied with a line layout in different thicknesses. The cross-component accuracy of the bonding was of utmost importance in order to achieve a harmonious overall picture. The design was created by Hajo LEMKEs at 811 design in Erftstadt. It requires about a week to complete this type of adhesive vinyl wrapping.

Now all one has to do is call, make an appointment, optimize and drive off and experience the Cayenne driving pleasure. True to the motto: power, performance, design, and pure fun!

  • Ferrari GTO Engineering 250 SWB

    2021-Ferrari-GTO-Engineering-250-SWB1

With over half a million miles under their belt driving some of the most special Ferraris of all time, and over 200 years’ combined experience working on Ferraris, the team at GTO Engineering has created what they believe to be the ultimate interpretation of a legendary Sixties, Ferrari. Named the 250 SWB Revival, based upon the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione, GTO Engineering has revived a legend with its modern experience and given it ultimate road and track customization opportunities.

From the chassis to the cockpit, every element of the 250 SWB Revival has been strictly enhanced, improved, or rebuilt at the GTO Engineering UK headquarters, using the team’s extensive knowledge, know-how, historical technical drawings, and industry insight. The result is a visceral experience of a high-revving Columbo V12, enjoyable chassis, lightweight aluminum body with a classic exterior and interior design, plus some modern touches to make it a pleasure to drive daily, on track, or save for Sunday best.

Inspired by the legendary 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione, which is one of the most successful Ferrari race cars of the period, the GTO Engineering team offers the 250 SWB Revival as a more usable, customizable, and bespoke variant of the highly collectible original Competition car. Driven in period by the likes of Sir Stirling Moss who hailed it as “the greatest GT car in the world” as it took wins at Le Mans (1960 class win), Tourist Trophy (1960), and Spa GP (1960), today it’s regarded one of the most notable, collectible and appreciating cars of its type, this is rarely seen on the road and occasionally at historic race meetings.

“The 1960 Competition car is the one to have – not only is it the shorter chassis, improving drivability and handling, it has disc brakes [the 250 SWB was the first to have them on a Ferrari GT car], and an aluminum body rather than steel. But it has one major drawback. Because it was made in so few numbers, it’s not really a car you can take to the shops or drive on the lock-stops without fearing damaging the body or destroying originality. The 250 SWB Revival is a ‘best of’, based on original drawings and knowledge, with an added usability, driveability and the option to make it as road or race-focused as you’d like,” explains GTO Engineering Managing Director Mark Lyon.

Utilizing original drawings, measurements, and knowledge, the GTO Engineering 250 SWB Revival uses a hand-built tubular frame underneath a hand-beaten aluminum body. It’s based on the shorter format of the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione specifications, which is eight inches shorter than the 250 GT. Each GTO Engineering 250 SWB Revival is created as a bespoke build, with a plethora of options designed for enjoying the car on the road, used for rallying, touring, sprinting, and racing.

“It’s hard to beat perfection [the 250 SWB], but you can make it more drivable, liveable, and easier to use on a daily basis. You can also provide drivers the option for different V12 engines and gearboxes, which you can’t with an original. We wanted to give flexibility to owners who either want a grand tourer, a faster set-up road car, or full race car that you can drive to and from events. The 250 SWB Revival was designed to be versatile, usable but also completely customizable,” further comments GTO Engineering Managing Director Mark Lyon.

  • Ford Mustang Mach-E

    2021-Mustang-Mach-E1

Inspired by classic 80’s sci-fi cinema, Ford sound designers worked with the studio Ozone Sound to craft electronic sounds that can be heard inside and outside of the Mustang Mach-E while the car is moving.

That piqued the interest of Dear, a founding member of world-renowned electronic music label Ghostly International and originator of the “Hands Up for Detroit” anthem. Dear used the synth-heavy sounds to create “New Breed,” a hypnotic electronic arrangement that’s distinctly Mustang Mach-E.

“The idea of remixing the sounds from the Mustang Mach-E was immediately interesting because I’ve always considered myself to be a ‘sound tinkerer,’” said Dear. “But after I got to actually hear and experience the digital propulsion sounds that Ford created, I was sold on the project. The sounds are cooler than I thought they’d be — cinematic and sci-fi — and all the noises the car makes have a sense of modern musicality. Creating “New Breed” was a new experience and I think the song — like the car — takes its passengers on a voyage.”

  • Vauxhall reveals all-new Mokka

    2021-Vauxhall-Mokka1

Hot on the heels of the new battery-electric Vauxhall Mokka-e, Vauxhall has revealed details of the advanced petrol and diesel engines that will power the all-new Mokka. Highly efficient and more compact than ever, the all-new Mokka is the perfect combination of fun and modernity – ideal for urban trips and long motorway drives.

The design of the Mokka features stunning proportions and captivating precision with bold looks characterized by short overhangs and a wide, well-planted stance. The newcomer also stands out as the first model that features the future brand face and next-generation fully digital cockpit: the Vauxhall Vizor and Pure Panel, respectively.

The horizontally stretched instrument panel integrates two widescreen displays; the one in front of the driver measuring up to 12 inches. The intuitive system is designed to keep the driver’s focus on the road and Vauxhall’s designers have retained separate controls for essential functions, avoiding hazardous exploration into sub-menus.

Despite a slightly longer wheelbase (+2.0 mm), the  Mokka is 12.5 cm shorter than the previous model, while offering its five passengers a similar loading space of up to 350 liters in its luggage compartment. Its total length of only 4.15 meters makes it super-easy to maneuver and park in urban and suburban areas.

Stephen Norman, Group Managing Director, Vauxhall Motors, said: “The all-new Vauxhall Mokka is the start of the long-awaited new direction for Vauxhall. New Corsa punted the ball up, new Mokka decisively converts the try. With its bold design that becomes part of the signature look for all future models, the all-new Mokka features everything that will define the brand from now on. With a choice of a fully electric powertrain or a line-up of highly efficient petrol and Diesel engines, the all-new Mokka is the new and exciting future for Vauxhall.”

With the SRi trim, Vauxhall is, for the first time, offering a sportier version of the Mokka. SRi models come standard with a red signature daylight opening, a high-gloss black Vizor chrome exterior trim elements and badges, specific front seat fabric, and red instrument panel trim. Also standard are 18-inch alloy wheels with black and red accents, a two-tone roof, and black headliner.

Innovative technologies for the all-new Mokka
The Mokka stays true to Vauxhall’s brand-defining tradition of making innovative technologies from higher vehicle classes available to a wide range of buyers. These include Advanced Driver Assist Systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Active Lane Positioning Assistant. The lighting system also features state-of-the-art technologies with the adaptive and glare-free IntelliLux LED matrix light featuring 14 elements, unique in the category. All Mokka models feature standard LED lamps at the front and rear, an electric parking brake as well as traffic sign recognition. A 180-degree panoramic rear-view camera is also available.

The new Mokka is based on a new version of the company’s highly efficient multi-energy CMP (Common Modular Platform) platform. This lightweight and efficient system offers maximum flexibility in vehicle development and allows the use of a purely battery-electric drive as well as the latest petrol or diesel engines.

Vauxhall’s engineering team has focused on weight reduction, saving up to 120kg versus the previous generation model, while simultaneously enhancing body stiffness – gaining up to 30 percent torsional stiffness in the case of the electric version with its low-sitting integrated battery structure. The benefits are obvious: the all-new Mokka consumes substantially less energy while being much more responsive, agile, and fun to drive.

New engines: Ideal balance between efficiency and performance
The lively yet economical petrol and diesel engines offer power outputs ranging from 100hp to 130hp. Low fuel consumption and superior performance are characteristic of all powertrain options:

    • The fun starts with the entry-level 100hp 1.2 Turbo combined with a six-speed manual gearbox (preliminary fuel consumption WLTP 6mpg to 51.4mpg and 124g/km to 128g/km CO2).
    • Higher performance is supplied by the 130hp 1.2 Turbo. Despite the strong power output, the fuel consumption of the all-aluminum engine remains competitive with either of the six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmissions (preliminary fuel consumption WLTP 4mpg to 51.4mpg and 123g/km to 126g/km CO2).

Wide torque plateau for petrol engines: Top driveability
High efficiency and lively performance are characteristic of the new petrol engines, which feature a low friction design to optimize efficiency. The turbocharger also reacts immediately, with strong torque development at low rpm. The maximum torque of the 100hp 1.2 is 205Nm; the top 130hp unit develops 230Nm. With the majority of maximum torque available in a wide band, both engines are notable for their flexibility. At least 95 percent of maximum torque is available between 1,500 and 3,750rpm – in combination with the low vehicle weight and optimized gear ratios, this enables very good driveability.

The driving performance matches the high efficiency of the engines. The  Mokka 130hp 1.2 Turbo with six-speed manual transmission has a maximum speed of 125mph[1], with 0-62mph acceleration taking 9.2 seconds. The 100hp model has a top speed of 113mph and accelerates from 0-62mph in around 11 seconds.

The 100hp entry-level engine is fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. With the 130hp 1.2, customers can choose from a six-speed manual or a smooth eight-speed automatic. The automatic features state-of-the-art adaptive shift programs and Quickshift-technology, allowing drivers to control gear selection via the standard steering wheel shift paddles.

High-tech and high efficiency: 1.5 diesel
The two petrol engines are joined by a lively 1.5-liter diesel with a six-speed manual transmission, producing 110hp and maximum torque of 250Nm (preliminary fuel consumption WLTP 62.8mpg to 65.7mpg and 114g/km to 117g/km CO2).

For optimum exhaust after-treatment, the diesel engine’s emissions reduction system – consisting of a passive oxidation catalyst/NOx adsorber, AdBlue injector, SCR catalyst, and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) – is grouped together as a compact single unit, as close as possible to the engine. The NOx adsorber acts as a cold start catalyst, reducing NOx emissions during cold starts.

Fans of electric-mobility can order the Vauxhall Mokka-e as the Common Modular Platform (CMP) accommodates a variety of powertrains.

A leader in the segment: high-tech assistance systems and lighting technology
The all-new Mokka arrives in the B-segment with innovations that until recently have only been available in higher vehicle classes. Forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection operates at speeds above 3mph. If a vehicle or pedestrian ahead is approached too fast, the system sounds a warning chime and displays a message in the Driver Information Cluster. If a collision is imminent, the braking system is prepared and, if necessary, emergency braking is deployed to minimize the effects of a potential collision. Below 18mph the system can bring the vehicle to a complete stop. If the speed exceeds 18mph, speed is reduced and the driver must actively brake.

The adaptive cruise control maintains a certain distance between the new Mokka and the vehicle ahead, using radar and camera sensors. Operative from 18mph, the vehicle speed increases or decreases to follow the vehicle ahead, but will not exceed the set speed. With an automatic transmission, the system offers additional stop and go functionality. It can break the car to a standstill and follow the vehicle ahead in traffic jams.

Vauxhall is also a leader in lighting technology. All Mokka variants are equipped with the latest generation LED lamps – from daytime running lights to front fog lights. An absolute highlight in this segment is the adaptive IntelliLux LED matrix lights with a total of 14 individual elements. As with the Vauxhall Insignia, Astra, and the new Corsa, the lighting system enables driving on a permanent high beam.

In order to prevent glare for drivers of oncoming or preceding vehicles, the individual LED elements are switched off in milliseconds to cut vehicles out of the light cone – so oncoming drivers are not dazzled, yet Mokka passengers experience stadium-like illumination. In the rear, the choice for LED-only technology has allowed designers to go for very thin, stretched lights enhancing the feeling of precision and quality.

Excellent seating engineering is typical of Vauxhall. Various six-way ergonomic seats are available in the new Mokka, which are individually adjustable. A sporty Alcantara and a classic full leather interior are both available – highly unusual for a vehicle in the B segment. The crowning glory is the heated leather seat with perforated surface and massage function for the driver.

The driver and front-seat passenger can place their smartphones in the storage tray provided in the center console. Compatible telephones recharge here wirelessly, while a specially shaped rubber mat prevents devices from sliding around. The new infotainment range perfectly networks and entertains Mokka drivers and passengers. Multimedia Radio and Multimedia Navi systems with a 7-inch color touchscreen and the top-of-the-range system Multimedia Navi Pro with a high-resolution 10-inch color touchscreen are available. The monitors are integral to the new Pure Panel from Vauxhall and ideally positioned towards the driver.

The multimedia systems feature integrated voice control and are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. The new Mokka also offers the Vauxhall Connect service for customers. LIVE navigation with real-time traffic information, plus a direct link to breakdown assistance and eCall, make journeys, even more, relaxing for drivers and passengers. If the airbags or seatbelt tensioners deploy in an accident, eCall contacts the local Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) automatically.
