The original price tag of Chevrolet Volt is $41 000, but obviously the dealers will decided the final price of the car.
According to a research in the USA made from Edmunds, who sent an email to a local Chevrolet dealer to ask for a final price of Chevrolet Volt. The curious thing is that the dealer said that their asking price for Volt will be $41 000 plus additional $20 000. So the overall price is a bit over $60 000 for a Chevrolet Volt. (more…)
The diesel powered cars aren’t very popular in the United States. The first reason is the cheap gasoline, especially in some states. For example, a liter gasoline in the United States is around $0.60 (less than 0.50 Euro) and a liter gasoline in Germany is around 1.50 Euro, so you make the maths. That is the main reason for everybody in the US to drive enormous V8 engines and dont care about the environment and fuel consumption.
The second reason is that the diesel fuel is not so common in the US. There is diesel at almost every gas station in Europe. (more…)
Recently, the electric sports cars are very fashionable. Audi revealed e-Tron and BMW can’t watch with indifference, so they started to prepare i100 Coupe ActiveHybrid, which will be a direct rival of Audi e-Tron.
The power system of BMW i100 Coupe ActiveHybrid, which is planned to be launched in 2013 is a three-cylinder direct injected petrol engine and two electric motors. The estimated overall power will be around 265-285hp. (more…)
2011 Toyota Tacoma has huge success on the US market, so the company decided to add two new performance packages to the pick-up.
Both packages include performance-enhancing equipment and some cosmetic changes. They were created to strengthen the Tacoma’s optional Off-Road package, which includes an electronic locking rear differential; tuned stabilizer bars, springs, and shock absorbers; and larger, off-road-ready tires. 2011 Nissan Rogue will hit the US market on August 13th. The vehicle was unveiled at the 23rd Annual International Z Car Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.

The ECU remap for diesel engines is so popular, that probably there is no a single diesel car, which haven’t been „chipped”. Mercedes’ models, which feature 231bhp 350 CDi BlueEFFICIENCY engine can be boosted by Superchips ltd.
The ECU map for the Mercedes’ Bosch EDC17 ECU features removing some of the inherent performance constraints and fine tuning fuelling and turbo boost parameters. The result is additional 34 bhp and 80 Nm of torque. The overall power of 350 CDi BlueEFFICIENCY is 265bhp and massive 642Nm of torque.

Lumma Design are famous with their styling and performance updates. One of their latest projects is 2010 Porsche Cayenne Diesel, which received a number of upgrades such as performance package, optics kit, alloys set and some interior changes.
The performance upgrade includes D-Box, which is a plug-and-play solution for increasing the power of the diesel engine under the bonnet from 240 to 276hp and the torque become 630Nm instead of 550.
