  • Chevrolet Trax

Chevrolet introduced a reimagined Trax — a new, technology-forward choice for customers seeking the practicality of a compact car and the utility of an SUV.

Larger than today’s Trax, it provides more space for passengers and cargo, along with more standard and available content. A robust array of standard safety features and a suite of technologies will help keep customers connected, all at a starting MSRP of only $21,4951.

“The all-new Trax has everything you need and nothing you don’t,” said Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet. “More space. More features. More style. This is an entry-level vehicle that will surprise and delight customers with its value and plays a critical role as the gateway into the Chevy brand.”

Five distinct personalities — LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS and ACTIV — offer design and content choices, while all trims add enhanced features and technologies, including:

    • Chevy Safety Assist2 with six advanced safety and driver awareness technologies
    • Larger infotainment3 screens — a standard 8-inch-diagonal system and an 11-inch-diagonal screen on LT, 2RS and ACTIV trims
    • Wireless Apple CarPlay4 and Android Auto5 capability
    • LED headlamps
    • 17-inch, 18-inch or 19-inch wheels
    • Four-wheel disc brakes
    • Active Noise Cancellation

Additional new features on most trims include push-button start, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging6 and more. Cruise control is also standard equipment on all models and Adaptive Cruise Control2 is available on some trims, a first for Trax.

The new Trax is powered by a 1.2L turbocharged inline-three engine rated at a GM-estimated 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. It is matched with a proven six-speed automatic transmission. The turbo contributes to excellent on-demand power, particularly for passing maneuvers and on-ramp acceleration.

    Modern and purposeful design

Longer, lower and wider than the current model, the 2024 Trax introduces an athletic, muscular design inspired by the Chevrolet Blazer.

“The bold exterior and tech-forward interior design of the all-new Trax redefines what an entry-level vehicle can be,” said Phil Zak, executive design director, Global Chevrolet. “It demonstrates that modern, stylish design doesn’t have to come at a premium.”

At the front, sleek horizontal lines emphasize the vehicle’s width and are designed around the lines of the iconic Chevy bowtie at the center of the grille, which flow outward to the slim, Blazer-inspired headlamps that feature all-new LED lighting elements. Chevy-signature high-eye LED daytime running lamps make the Trax more visible, day or night.

A sleeker side profile is enhanced by a 4-inch-lower (101 mm) overall height than the current model, while strong “shoulders” in the body contribute to a taut, muscular presence and strong stance.

Each trim has specific design cues, including specific grille designs and wheels, as well as unique décor, depending on the model:

    • LS and LT feature clean, straightforward designs, with additional bright trim on LT. 17-inch steel wheels are standard on LS and 17-inch machined aluminum wheels are standard on LT.
    • RS trims offer the Trax’s sportiest design with additional exterior trim accents, as well as a unique grille with an embedded RS badge. The 1RS trim includes unique 18-inch machine-faced aluminum wheels and the 2RS features 19-inch machine-faced aluminum wheels.
    • The new ACTIV has a monochromatic look including titanium chrome accents and an aggressive-looking rear skid plate motif. It also features unique black 18-inch wheels.

New dimensions enhance driving experience, spaciousness

The new Trax’s larger dimensions pay dividends when it comes to the driving experience and interior spaciousness, with its nearly 6-inch-longer wheelbase and wider track offering more composed ride and handling characteristics, compared to the current model.

Inside, the 11-inch greater length and 2-inch greater width than the current model translates into greater roominess and cargo capacity, including 3 inches more rear legroom, which increases comfort for rear-seat passengers, and maximum cargo capacity that increases by nearly 12%.

    Technology-forward interior

Trax’s interior was designed to have a lightweight feel, achieved with sweeping lines and light, technical cues that emphasize the vehicle’s width and create a sense of airiness — all enabled by the vehicle’s longer, lower and wider platform.

The low instrument panel enhances outward visibility and contributes to the feeling of airiness, while a technical texture pattern sweeps across, adding depth. Other elements take inspirations from other recent Chevy performance vehicle designs, including signature round vents and more.

Display screens are the centerpiece of the tech-forward design, with the infotainment screen canted slightly toward the driver, for more intuitive control. LS and 1RS trims feature an 8-inch-diagonal infotainment color touchscreen, while LT, 2RS and ACTIV have an 11-inch-diagonal infotainment color touchscreen and an 8-inch-diagonal driver information center.

The different trims also receive their own décor and accents, including:

    • LT features black seats with Sky Cool Gray accents
    • 2RS features red accents on the seats and a racing-inspired flat-bottom steering wheel
    • ACTIV features Evotex seats with yellow accents
    • RS and ACTIV trims feature black bowtie emblems

Additional standard and available content include:

    • Center console with ergonomically optimized shifter location
    • An electronic parking brake opens up more storage space in the console
    • Four bottle holders and two cupholders
    • Heated front seats, steering wheel and outside mirrors are standard on 1RS, 2RS and ACTIV and available on LT. Heated front seats and outside mirrors are available on LS
    • Remote start standard on 1RS, LT, 2RS and ACTIV and available on LS
    • Automatic climate control, push-button start and added rear-seat USB ports on LT, 2RS and ACTIV
    • Power-adjustable driver’s seat on ACTIV
    • Available sunroof

For the first time on Trax, customers can wirelessly connect Apple CarPlay4 or Android Auto5 to the infotainment system, while wireless phone charging6 is a new available feature on LT, 2RS and ACTIV. Trax also continues to offer Wi-Fi Hotspot capability7.

    Chevy Safety Assist and more

When it comes to safety and driver awareness technology, the 2024 Trax ups the ante with new, standard Chevy Safety Assist2 — a suite of six advanced safety and driver awareness technologies that include:

    • Automatic Emergency Braking
    • Front Pedestrian Braking

  • Polestar 3

Polestar officially reveals the Polestar 3 electric performance SUV. Scandinavian minimalism and purity work together with the key ingredients of a sport utility vehicle, defining the SUV for the electric age. Polestar 3 makes the SUV not only more relevant and responsible, but also highly desirable.

“Polestar 3 is a powerful electric SUV that appeals to the senses with a distinct, Scandinavian design and excellent driving dynamics,” says Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO. “It takes our manufacturing footprint to the next level, bringing Polestar production to the United States. We are proud and excited to expand our portfolio as we continue our rapid growth.”

Polestar 3 premieres a new aerodynamic profile where strong focus has been placed on retaining the hallmarks of an SUV, including a powerful and wide stance. This has been led by subtle yet effective aerodynamic optimisation – including a front aero wing integrated into the bonnet, an aero wing integrated into the rear spoiler, and rear aero blades.

“This car has been designed as a Polestar from the start and features new defining characteristics for us – like the dual blade headlights, SmartZone and front aero wing,” continues Thomas Ingenlath.

Materials used inside Polestar 3 have been selected for their sustainability credentials, while raising premium aesthetics and luxury tactility. These include bio-attributed MicroTech, animal welfare-certified leather and fully traceable wool upholsteries.

In line with Polestar’s commitment to transparency on its manufacturing, emissions and material impact, a complete life-cycle assessment (LCA) will be completed on Polestar 3 when production begins. Subsequent assessments will follow throughout its life cycle and work will continue to constantly find ways of reducing its carbon footprint.

Polestar 3 is the first car from Polestar to feature centralised computing with the NVIDIA DRIVE core computer, running software from Volvo Cars. Serving as the AI brain, NVIDIA’s high-performance automotive platform processes data from the car’s multiple sensors and cameras to enable advanced driver-assistance safety features and driver monitoring.

The infotainment system is powered by a next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.  As a central component of the Snapdragon Digital Chassis – a comprehensive set of open and scalable cloud-connected automotive platforms – the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform will be utilised to provide immersive in-vehicle experiences with its high-performance capabilities to deliver high-definition displays, premium quality surround sound and seamless connectivity throughout the vehicle.

With Volvo Cars embarking on a new era of safety, Polestar 3 carries next-generation advanced active and passive safety technology from Volvo Cars as part of its DNA. This includes the latest innovation – interior radar sensors that can detect sub-millimetre movements in the interior of the car, to help protect against accidentally leaving children or pets inside. The system is also linked to the climate control system to avoid heat stroke or hypothermia.

Further collaborations with industry-leading safety technology partners like Zenseact, Luminar and Smart Eye, provide Polestar 3 with cutting-edge ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology that integrates seamlessly thanks to the centralised computing power.

As standard, Polestar 3 features a total of five radar modules, five external cameras and twelve external ultrasonic sensors to support numerous advanced safety features. The SmartZone below the front aero wing collects several of the forward-facing sensors, a heated radar module and camera, and now becomes a signature of Polestar design. Inside, two closed-loop driver monitoring cameras bring leading eye tracking technology from Smart Eye to a Polestar for the first time, geared towards safer driving. The cameras monitor the driver’s eyes and can trigger warning messages, sounds and even an emergency stop function when detecting a distracted, drowsy or disconnected driver.

Android Automotive OS is the in-car operating system, co-developed with Google and fronted by a 14.5-inch centre display. It is an evolution of the technology first launched in Polestar 2 – the first car in the world with Google built-in – and a revolution of functionality and design for the large SUV segment. Over-the-air (OTA) updates are included to allow for continuous software improvement and the introduction of new features without the need to visit a service point.

Polestar 3 launches with a dual-motor configuration and a power bias towards the rear. The standard car produces a total of 360 kW (489 hp) and 840 Nm of torque. With the optional Performance Pack, total output is 380 kW (517 hp) and 910 Nm. Adjustable one-pedal drive is included, as well as an electric Torque Vectoring Dual Clutch function on the rear axle – an evolution of what was first developed for Polestar 1. A decoupling function is also available for the rear electric motor, allowing the car to run only on the front electric motor to save energy under certain circumstances.

Advanced chassis control is provided by dual-chamber air suspension as standard, allowing Polestar 3 to adapt between comfort and dynamic suspension characteristics, and the car can adjust its active damper velocity electronically once every two milliseconds (500 Hz).

“Our goal was to offer the performance and precision that define all Polestar cars, without compromising the comfort of the daily drive,” says Joakim Rydholm, Polestar’s chief chassis engineer. “To do this, we used new components like the adaptive air suspension to engineer the ‘Polestar feeling’ for this type of car.”

A 111 kWh battery pack provides Polestar 3 with generous driving range of up to 379 miles WLTP[1] (preliminary) . The lithium-ion battery features a prismatic cell design housed in a protective aluminium case with boron steel reinforcement and liquid cooling. A heat pump is included as standard, helping Polestar 3 utilise ambient heat for climate and battery pre-conditioning. Polestar 3 is also equipped for bidirectional charging, enabling future potential for vehicle-to-grid and plug-and-charge capabilities.

As with Polestar 2, the list of standard equipment in Polestar 3 is extensive, with few options for easy configuration and simplified production logistics. All versions include air suspension, a full-length panoramic glass roof, all-LED lighting inside and out, retractable door handles with proximity sensing, and 21-inch alloy wheels. The Plus Pack and Pilot Pack are fitted as standard for the first model year and include a raft of premium, luxury and convenience features like a 25-speaker audio system from Bowers & Wilkins with 3D surround sound and Dolby Atmos capability, soft-closing doors, a head-up display and Pilot Assist.

Available to order from the second quarter of 2023, the optional Pilot Pack with LiDAR from Luminar will add an additional control unit from NVIDIA, three cameras, four ultrasonic sensors and cleaning for the front- and rear-view cameras, providing accurate real-time data about the car’s surroundings especially in the long-range field. This enables enhanced 3D scanning of the car’s surroundings in greater detail and helps prepare the car for autonomous driving.

The optional Performance Pack sharpens driving dynamics even further and includes the maximum power and torque output (380 kW, 517hp and 910 Nm), along with performance optimisation for the air suspension, unique 22-inch forged alloy wheels and additional signature ‘Swedish gold’ details.

Polestar 3 is the first car on a new all-electric technology base developed by and shared with Volvo Cars. Production for initial launch markets[3] is planned to begin in Volvo Cars’ facility in Chengdu, China, in an incremental ramp-up phase[2] from mid-2023, with first deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Additional manufacturing at Volvo Cars’ Ridgeville, South Carolina facility in the United States, is expected to follow towards the middle of 2024 – from which point supply to North American and other markets is planned to switch from China to the US. Initial deliveries from this factory are expected around the middle of 2024.

  • BMW M2

The new BMW M2 delivers signature M performance in a highly concentrated form. With its 338 kW/460 hp six-cylinder in-line engine, an optionally available six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive, the second generation of the compact high-performance sports car promises unadulterated driving pleasure. The debut of the new BMW M2 marks another highlight event in the model offensive celebrating the 50-year anniversary of BMW M GmbH, while making the first step into the world of its high-performance cars an even more enticing one.

Compact dimensions together with powertrain and chassis technology adapted from the BMW M3/BMW M4 are at the heart of a vehicle concept that endows the new edition of the two-door model with beguiling agility and handling that remain easily controllable even as the driver explores the car’s limits. This distinct character profile also manifests itself in the expressive exterior design with its athletic coupé proportions. The sophisticated control/operating concept for customising the vehicle setup also helps to produce a performance experience of remarkable intensity. Thanks to these many attributes, the new BMW M2 continues the brand’s tradition of ultra-sporty models with compact dimensions that began in 1973 with the arrival of the BMW 2002 turbo. It is also building on the success of its predecessor, which notched up nearly 60,000 sales worldwide.

The global launch of the new BMW M2 will get underway in April 2023. It will be built alongside the new BMW 2 Series Coupé at the BMW Group’s San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico.

    Compact dimensions, extremely powerful proportions.

The athletic appearance of the new BMW M2 stems from its compact dimensions, extremely powerful proportions and hallmark M design features. It measures 214 millimetres less in exterior length than the BMW M4 Coupé models and has a 110-millimetre shorter wheelbase. At the same time, the vehicle and track widths exceed the figures for the new BMW 2 Series Coupé by a considerable margin.

The large, frameless BMW kidney grille with its horizontal bars combines with a three-section lower air intake with almost rectangular contours to give the front end of the car a familiar M look. The design has been crafted around technical requirements in terms of cooling air supply and aerodynamic balance. Clearly designed surfaces, prominently flared side skirts and muscular wheel arches set the tone for the side view. The rear end of the new BMW M2 also has a compact, powerful feel and adds a number of individual touches in the form of the eye-catching spoiler lip on the boot lid, the vertically arranged reflectors, the rear apron’s diffuser insert – with its puristic design – and the two pairs of exhaust tailpipes positioned a long way in from the outer edges.

The choice of five exterior paint finishes available for the new BMW M2 includes the Zandvoort Blue solid and Toronto Red metallic shades exclusive to this model. An M Carbon roof that reduces vehicle weight by around six kilograms is offered as an option.

Six-cylinder in-line engine with instantaneous power delivery and a thrilling appetite for revs.

The version of the straight-six engine developed for the compact high-performance model with M TwinPower Turbo technology and high-revving design stands out with its M-typical performance characteristics. Differing only in a small number of details from the engine employed in the BMW M3 and BMW M4 models, the 3.0-litre unit thrills with its urgent response, healthy appetite for revs and linear power delivery into the highest reaches of the engine speed range.

Developing a maximum output of 338 kW/460 hp, the engine under the bonnet of the new BMW M2 outguns the base unit used by its predecessor by 66 kW/90 hp. Peak torque of 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) is produced between 2,650 and 5,870 rpm with maximum output arriving at 6,250 rpm. The new engine revs to a maximum 7,200 rpm. The pulsating build-up of power is accompanied by an emotionally rich soundtrack generated by the M-specific exhaust system with electrically controlled flaps. The system of oil supply is designed to handle extremely dynamic driving situations when out on the track, as is the cooling system.

A choice of performance experience: eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic as standard, six-speed manual gearbox as an option.

The engine’s power is relayed to the rear wheels via an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic as standard. Its extremely sporty gear shifts, direct connection to the engine and ability to execute multiple downshifts to the lowest available gear form the ideal basis for beguiling, instantaneous acceleration. It is operated by means of a selector lever sporting the latest M design as well as shift paddles on the steering wheel. The Drivelogic function offers a choice of three shift settings.

A six-speed manual gearbox is available as an option for anyone seeking a performance experience in the classical mould, rooted in the intense interaction between driver and car. It lends itself to a sporty style of driving thanks not only to its precisely defined shift action, but also the Gear Shift Assistant, which uses engagement speed control to ensure slip-free operation when downshifting under braking into corners. If required, the Gear Shift Assistant can be deactivated in the M Setup menu.

The new BMW M2 completes the sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) from rest in 4.1 seconds with the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and in 4.3 seconds when fitted with the six-speed manual gearbox. It is capable of powering from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 13.5 seconds (automatic) or 14.3 seconds (manual). The limited top speed of the new BMW M2 can be raised from 250 km/h (155 mph) to 285 km/h (177 mph) by specifying the optional M Driver’s Package.

Rear-wheel drive, M Traction Control and Active M Differential provide agility, precision and driving pleasure as the occasion demands.

Regardless of the choice of transmission, the new BMW M2’s traditional form of dynamic performance is also embodied by its rear-wheel drive. The linear build-up of lateral acceleration forces characteristic of M models helps the driver to guide the car through corners with controlled drifts, for example. The standard M Traction Control function is also designed to allow the driver to carefully probe the vehicle’s performance limits by setting individual intervention thresholds for wheel slip limitation, with a choice of ten stages.

Another contributor to the sublime dynamics of the BMW M2 is the Active M Differential at the rear axle. Also included as standard, it is able to seamlessly generate a locking effect of up to 100 per cent whenever required. This optimises traction on road surfaces offering different levels of adhesion for the left- and right-hand rear wheel, for example, as well as improving power transfer when accelerating hard out of corners.

Sophisticated chassis technology, precisely controllable handling.

The new BMW M2’s compact dimensions, short wheelbase, almost perfectly balanced 50:50 weight distribution and sophisticated chassis technology combine to deliver precisely controllable, fingertip handling. The car’s agility, dynamism and precision also gain from the excellent torsional stiffness of the body structure and chassis mountings helped by bespoke bracing.

Both the double-joint spring strut front axle and the five-link rear axle come with M-specific kinematics. The standard equipment roster for the new BMW M2 includes adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled dampers, M Servotronic steering with variable ratio, DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) including M Dynamic Mode, and powerful M Compound brakes with six-piston, fixed-calliper brakes at the front and single-piston, floating-calliper brakes at the rear. The integrated braking system presents the driver with two pedal feel settings. The new BMW M2 comes with 19-inch light-alloy wheels at the front and 20-inch items at the rear, each representing an increase of one inch on the diameter of the wheels fitted as standard on the BMW M3 and BMW M4 models. There is also the option of fitting them with track tyres.

Advanced sports car cockpit with BMW Curved Display as standard and the option of M Carbon bucket seats.

The new BMW M2 boasts a cockpit with a driver-centric design featuring M-specific readouts, controls and setup options, as well as the advanced BMW Curved Display. Driving-related information including Shift Lights appears in a new graphical layout on the 12.3-inch information display. M-specific widgets for vehicle setup and tyre condition are just two of the items that can be called up in the 14.9-inch control display. The optional BMW Head-Up Display also features M-specific readouts.

Both the BMW Curved Display and the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant form part of the latest-generation BMW iDrive. Based on BMW Operating System 8, it has been purpose designed for intuitive interaction between driver and vehicle using touch control and natural language. The new BMW iDrive system enables personalisation with the BMW ID and My BMW App as well as allowing a Personal eSIM to be used in the vehicle. Smartphone integration for Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ is likewise included as standard on the new BMW M2, and there is also a 5G antenna system for optimised connectivity.

The driver and front passenger are welcomed as standard by sport seats in a model-specific design with Sensatec/Alcantara surfaces. M Sport seats with integral head restraints and perforated surfaces in Vernasca leather/Sensatec are available as an alternative. The M Carbon bucket seats that can also be found on the options list use carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) in the structural elements of the seat cushion and backrest and also feature cut-outs in the side bolsters and below the head restraints, thereby shaving around 10.8 kilograms off the vehicle’s weight.

Three-zone automatic climate control, BMW Maps navigation system, Setup button and M Drive Professional as standard.

The comfort features fitted as standard in the new BMW M2 include three-zone automatic climate control, BMW Live Cockpit Plus complete with BMW Maps navigation system, ambient lighting and the Hi-Fi speaker system. When it comes to automated driving and parking systems, the Front Collision Warning, Speed Limit Display with no-overtaking indicator, Lane Departure Warning and Park Distance Control functions all come as standard. The Driving Assistant, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function and the Parking Assistant including Reversing Assistant are just some of the options available.

The Setup button on the centre console provides direct access to the settings options for the engine, chassis, steering, braking system and M Traction Control, as well as the Gear Shift Assistant if fitted. Two overall vehicle setups can be stored and then retrieved using the M buttons on the steering wheel.

Besides M Traction Control, the standard-fit M Drive Professional also includes the M Drift Analyser and M Laptimer. Plus, the M Mode button on the centre console can be used to adjust both the level of driver assistance system activity and the content shown in the information display and Head-Up Display, with a choice of ROAD, SPORT and TRACK settings.

Also on the options list is the M Race Track Package, comprising the M Driver’s Package together with the M Carbon roof, M Carbon bucket seats, interior trim strips in Carbon Fibre finish and track tyres.

Combining ‘OEM+’ design, quality and manufacturing techniques with uncompromising attention to detail CHI001 is, like all Theon creations, an example of the company’s world-class design and engineering expertise, delivering on the company’s objective of distilling and enhancing the essence of the air-cooled 911.

Theon Design is the brainchild of Adam Hawley, a Porsche obsessive with more than two decades of automotive design experience at prestigious OEMs such as BMW, JLR, Lexus and Lotus, who also helped design Airbus A380 luxury interiors.

Under Hawley, Theon Design seeks to make each car it creates lighter, more powerful and even more visceral to drive than the original on which it is based, while at the same time paying careful homage to Porsche’s methodology and engineering ethos.

“Our intent is clear,” explains Hawley. “We apply an OEM-grade approach with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and manufacture to enhance a classic Porsche, delivering the best possible quality. At the same time, we are careful to honour Porsche’s heritage and engineering ethos; we’re totally focussed on lightweight construction and delivering truly engaging driving dynamics. CHI001 pushes this to new heights and is fantastic example of what Theon Design is capable of.”

The company is based in the UK’s ‘Motorsport Valley’ in Oxfordshire, home to an array of auto and racing technology companies and technicians – the ideal location in which to assemble a small team of passionate engineers and establish relationships with trusted suppliers.

    High-tech lightweight body

As with all of Theon Design’s bespoke commissions, CHI001 is based on a 911 (964) that has been stripped back and fully restored, using numerous design cues from Porsche models past and present.

CHI001 is the first Theon Design creation to feature carbon fibre for the vast majority of the body, with the lightweight composite material used for the roof, bonnet, engine lid, spoiler, bumpers and sill covers, while only the doors are steel – to aid side impact protection. Lightweight black Kevlar is then used for the wheelarch liners.

For the bespoke body, each component was digitized and modelled in 3D design software to ensure ultimate precision and perfect panel fit – enabling Theon to tailor individual details to the customer’s exact specification.

While CHI001 is very much cutting-edge in its construction, it also features an evocative nod to the past with its custom Viola Metallic paint, a colour first seen on the 30th Anniversary Porsche 911 (964) of 1993. CHI001’s 17” Fuchs style wheels feature body-coloured centres, with champagne-coloured petals and outer rims, while the special paint is complemented by Noble Chrome brightwork.

Theon’s unflinching attention to detail is also demonstrated by the Royal Purple Porsche script and strips, which match the brake callipers and interior leather. “At Theon, attention to detail is everything,” explains Hawley. “You can see this not only with the stunning exterior of CHI001, but also wherever you look under the skin. Every single component on the car is treated with the same degree of focus, whether visible or not.”

    Under the skin

Theon’s determination to elevate the on-road performance of each commission is reflected in the painstaking analysis and optimisation of every element of the car; each component scrutinised with a view to enhancing performance, quality and aesthetics.

Such an approach is evident all over CHI001, where the driving experience is made even more engaging and capable, thanks to the fitment of Theon’s hydro-electric power-steering, a switchable exhaust and RS-spec semi-active suspension from specialists TracTive, which provides independent damping control and ensures all road surfaces are handled with aplomb. The driver can switch between 5 tailored damper modes, selected via a milled aluminium rotary switch integrated into the centre console – lending CHI001 great breadth of dynamic ability.

CHI001 uses TracTive’s ‘Active Controlled Electronics’ (ACE) system, which offers completely independent damping – with active roll and pitch control for optimised suspension performance in all driving scenarios. TracTive’s high-tech system ensures CHI001 remains stable and unruffled under braking, with improved composure on corner entry, greater precision through the apex, and transformed traction when accelerating out of a corner. Road undulations are perfectly managed by each individual damper, maximising compliance and grip at all times.

Inside each TracTive ACE damper is a patented Dynamic Damping Adjustment (DDA) valve controlled by a sensitive multi-axis g-sensor and advanced algorithm, has been developed across decades of on-road and on-track testing. With a dynamic proportional valve operating as a bypass, the TracTive damper units have an especially large range of damping adjustment, and are capable of reacting in an industry-leading 6-10 milliseconds. With such lightning responses, TracTive ACE system’s performance is elevated far above that of conventional damper systems; grip levels in all conditions are vastly improved, maximising each tyre’s contact patch.

CHI001’s braking system is also heavily uprated with carbon discs and pads delivering tremendous, fade-free stopping power. At the rear of the car, an active wing sits atop the engine cover – ensuring perfect aero balance whatever the speed. Elsewhere, a custom aero grade wiring loom with MoTeC Power Distribution Modules further helps reduce weight, while a modern, lightweight air-conditioning system with dual condensers is fitted at the front of the car – shedding even more kilos and improving weight distribution. With all fluids and a full tank of fuel, CHI001 weighs just 1164kg.

The famous aircooled flat six – enhanced

Theon Design offers a wide choice of air-cooled flat-six-cylinder engine options, encompassing naturally-aspirated units that range in capacity from 3.6 to 4.0 litres, with supercharging or turbocharging also possible.

CHI001 was commissioned with a naturally-aspirated 4.0-litre motor. Producing 400bhp and 350 lb ft of torque, and fitted with a single mass flywheel, it majors on throttle response and aural thrills with bespoke independent throttle bodies developed with Shropshire-based Jenvey Dynamics, paired with Theon-designed trumpets, all of which add to the visceral intake noise. A carbon fibre shroud aids engine cooling and further enhances under bonnet aesthetics.

While the donor car started life as a 964 Carrera 4, drive is now channelled to the rear wheels only through a lightweight six-speed gearbox, which has been re-engineered from the G50 transmission of the later 993, and a single mass flywheel. A Wavetrac limited slip differential gives improved control and traction, while an RS gear shifter adds to the direct and quick shift feel.

    A customised cabin

Every element of the interior has been crafted to the customer’s exacting requirements; the result is a cabin that expertly blends traditional 911 elements with modern technology.

The main interior material is a patinated leather. Recaro Club Sport seats offer exceptional support and are trimmed in a custom design with woven Porsche Royal Purple accented leather panels. These are complemented by Touring seats in the rear, also with woven leather panels.

Carbon fibre trimmed with leather has been used extensively throughout, including the centre console, which also features exposed carbon panels. Colour-coordinated gauges and quilted door panels add to the sense of occasion.

“Our dedication to delivering exactly what the customer wants is illustrated perfectly by CHI001’s ultra-bespoke, exquisitely finished cabin,” says Hawley. “It’s a truly unique creation, developed in close collaboration with the client over hundreds if not thousands of hours. The resulting interior blends the warmth and timeless quality of a classic Porsche cockpit with the very best in terms of modern comfort, convenience and neatly integrated technology.”

CHI001’s technology has been thoughtfully integrated into the cabin, with a magnetic wireless smartphone charger mounted behind a woven leather dashboard panel. A phone can be easily paired via Bluetooth to provide satellite navigation and control of the sound system, which uses high-end Focal amplifiers and speakers in both front doors. Carbon fibre inner and outer threshold covers add a distinctive finishing flourish.

“We’re extremely excited to reveal CHI001. With this latest commission we are again delivering on a precise client specification, instilling the car with incredible performance, while using our expertise and OEM+ philosophy to refine and enhance the 911’s unique, captivating character.

“CHI001 pushes the boundaries in terms of its body materials, engine specification and suspension innovation – and reflect what Theon Design is all about. We’re driven by a determination to hone and sympathetically enhance the classic 911 recipe, using a design-led focus and close partnerships with expert suppliers to create the ultimate iteration of the world’s most iconic sports car.”

Prices for Theon Design commissions start at £380,000. Each car is a totally unique collaboration with the customer and takes 18 months to build. Price excludes donor car, shipping and local taxes.

  • Audi RS Q3 Sportback 10 Years Edition

Audi is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Audi RS Q32 with a sporty special edition: the RS Q3 edition 10 years2. This car is limited to 555 units worldwide and is available for the RS Q32 and RS Q3 Sportback3 This compact sports car has become well established in the years since its 2013 market launch. Since 2019, the second generation has delivered 294 kW (400 PS) and 480 Nm of torque. The Audi RS Q3 edition 10 years2 is powered by the 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo engine. It brings its power to the road via a 7-speed S tronic and its permanent all-wheel drive quattro. The anniversary edition has exclusive accents both inside and out. These include the new Chronos Gray metallic paintwork, 21 inch alloy wheels, new RS bucket seats with recycled Dinamica microfiber material, and jet black applications on the instrument panel. The Edition package will be priced starting at €5,990 and will be available to order in Germany from the end of October 2022.

    Strong Character: The Exterior

among other things, Audi is using two expressive colors to celebrate the RS Q32: Dew Silver matte effect or metallic Chronos Gray. The latter is intended exclusively for the special edition, while the matte silver was added to the color palette of the Audi RS Q32 for the first time this year. Also exclusive to the edition are the black, 21 inch light alloy wheels in a double-spoke design with 225/35 format tires. The 19 inch high-performance braking system with carbon fiber-reinforced ceramic brake discs is available as a front-end option. It comes with polished Anthracite Gray brake calipers as a standard feature or, alternatively, red or blue are available for an additional charge.

Numerous add-on parts in black or glossy black emphasize the exclusive look of the edition 10 years. These include, for example, the darkened matrix LED headlights with dynamic flashing light and the wing mirror housings. The roof frame, window slot rims, and door trim are available in glossy black. The same applies to the blades on the front spoiler and the diffuser insert. The sporty look is rounded out with the four rings on the Singleframe grille and the rear and the model lettering in glossy black.

    Exclusive and Sporty: The Interior

Passengers take their seats in new RS bucket seats that are exclusive to this edition. The RS emblems in the neck area of the seat are impressive. The seatback cover in matte Carbon, which is being used for the first time in the RS Q32, is a special highlight. The bucket seats are upholstered in a leather-Dinamica combination in black and jet black – the new, sporty, elegant color. Dinamica is a microfiber and consists of around 45% recycled PET fibers. In addition to the seats, it is also used on the instrument panel application. The copper-colored stitching, which is repeated throughout the entire interior, creates a special contrast. This applies, for example, to the honeycomb stitching in the center of the seat, the center armrest, the door armrest, the steering wheel – which is available either in a round or flat bottom version – and the black floor mats with glossy copper-embroidered RS Q3 lettering. The edition 10 years also boasts exclusive decorative inlays in Carbon – such as the seat back cover in a matte finish. The MMI display has a carbon look – the 10.1 inch touch display features “1 of 555” lettering. The edition-specific illuminated door sill trims project a red 3D diamond onto the ground when the doors are opened.

    Irresistible: The Drive

The RS Q32 and RS Q3 Sportback3 come with a powerful 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder engine. With 2.5 liters of displacement and 294 kW (400 PS), it now boasts some 17% more power than in the previous generation of the RS Q3, which had augmented its performance to 250 kW (340 PS) in 2015. Compared to the 2013 original version with 228 kW (310 PS), that is a 29% performance increase. The maximum torque of 480 Nm is available between 2,250 and 5,850 rpm. The RS Q32 and RS Q3 Sportback3 reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 4.5 seconds. Their top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), but on request the RS Q32 can also drive at speeds of up to 280 km/h (174 mph).

The special firing order 1-2-4-5-3 and the odd number of cylinders create a unique engine sound. The RS dual exhaust system emphasizes the characteristic sound of the five-cylinder engine, while the optionally available RS sports exhaust system sharpens it even further. The five-cylinder engine was awarded the coveted “International Engine of the Year Award” nine times in a row. The power of the five-cylinder engine runs to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive via a seven-speed S tronic as standard equipment.

  • Jaguar F-TYPE 75 Special Edition

The Jaguar F-TYPE is the definitive Jaguar sports car from a rich bloodline spanning 75 years and including some of the most iconic models ever built.

In Coupé or Convertible form, F-TYPE offers a perfect balance of visceral performance and driver reward with a muscular, assertive design and a cabin defined by luxurious materials, exacting craftsmanship and exquisite details.

For the final Model Year, on sale from early 2023, the range has become simpler and more focused, making it easy for customers to select their perfect F-TYPE. The car looks more purposeful and assertive than ever too, with 20-inch wheels standard on all models, and discreet detail changes such as the wheel centres and grille badge changing from red to black, and the R and R-Dynamic badge accent colours now black and grey instead of red and green.

To mark the final Model Year of F-TYPE and 75 years of Jaguar sports cars, customers can choose the new F-TYPE 75 or F-TYPE R 75 special editions. These are distinguished by unique interior and exterior design elements, carefully curated specifications, and – of course – the supercharged 5.0-litre Jaguar V8 engine** synonymous with F-TYPE. These exclusive models are a fitting celebration of internal combustion engine performance before Jaguar becomes a pure electric modern luxury brand from 2025.

Matthew Beaven, Jaguar Land Rover Chief Designer, Exteriors, said; “For 75 years Jaguar has been renowned for producing extraordinary sports cars that deliver performance, agility and maximum driver reward. The F-TYPE special editions hold true to these principles, adding unique interior and exterior design details to celebrate this lineage before Jaguar becomes an all-electric brand from 2025.”

    Design

The Jaguar F-TYPE looks as dramatic as ever and is the definitive Jaguar sports car in a rich bloodline going back 75 years. The powerful proportions of the front-engine two-seater – with its body structure sculpted from light, stiff aluminium – are instantly recognisable, and the focused and assertive presence references the flowing forms from Jaguar’s rich sports car heritage, which began with the XK120 – launched in 1948 as the world’s fastest production car.

Super-slim LED headlights, featuring Pixel technology as standard, with ‘Calligraphy’ J signature daytime running lights and sweeping direction indicators accentuate the car’s visual width and hint at its performance potential. They blend perfectly into the ‘liquid metal’ surfacing of the clamshell bonnet, which sweeps elegantly back, inspired by iconic models such as the C-type and D-type.

Unique to the F-TYPE 75 and F-TYPE R 75 are discreet badges on the front fenders which depict the F-TYPE’s unmistakable silhouette.

As part of the curated, simplified customer offer, every F-TYPE in the range is now offered with a model-specific 20-inch wheel as standard, with the F-TYPE 75 and R 75 distinguished by their gloss black, five-spoke- and gloss black diamond-turned 10-spoke designs respectively.

The rear haunches enhance the F-TYPE’s inherently dramatic, purposeful form and sweep downwards to the slender rear LED lights with ‘Chicane’ signature. Powertrain-specific exhaust pipes emerge from the rear diffuser, clearly signalling F-TYPE’s performance intent. Four-cylinder models feature a single, central, finisher while both the 450PS F-TYPE 75 and 575PS F-TYPE R 75 V8s are identified by quad, outboard exhausts – the latter featuring subtle etched R branding.

The F-TYPE’s driver-focussed interior is a pure expression of the car’s elegance and performance. Combining Jaguar craftsmanship, exquisite, details and rich materials and finishes deliver a heightened sense of luxury and sportiness.

The ‘1+1’ cockpit features a 12.3-inch reconfigurable Interactive Driver Display, offering a choice of display themes – as befits a true sports car, the default mode is characterised by the large central rev-counter.

This feature and the gearshift light subtly convey the F-TYPE’s character and performance potential, digitally enhancing the mechanical theatre of the pulsing red ‘heartbeat’ of the start button and the deployable centre air vents.

The F-TYPE 75 and R 75 models are distinguished by the unique silhouette motif on the Engine Spin centre console finisher and stainless-steel tread plates, while the Interior Black Pack is another subtle enhancement.

Lightweight slimline seats – in Sport or Performance designs, with the latter standard on the F-TYPE 75 and R 75 – combine an ergonomically-optimised form with outstanding comfort, further enhanced by heating and cooling options. Rich materials such as Windsor leather – standard on the special editions – add a further touch of luxury, complemented by details such as the crafted monogram stitch pattern – repeated in the door trim, with the Extended Leather Upgrade option – and Jaguar Leaper or R motifs in the headrests. An Ebony Suedecloth headliner – also standard on the F-TYPE 75 and R 75 – further enriches the interior.

    Ride and Handling

F-TYPE continues to set the benchmark for truly involving, engaging, driver-focused sports cars.  Double wishbone front- and rear suspension, meticulously tuned electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) and Torque Vectoring by Braking deliver outstanding agility and a truly connected feel. These attributes are fundamental to the car’s immediate and intuitive responses to every driver input.

The chassis of the F-TYPE 75** and R 75 is further enhanced by rear knuckles made from light, stiff aluminium die castings, which, together with larger wheel bearings deliver absolute precision control of the tyre contact patch, translating to even more connected steering feel. For the R 75, this key attribute is optimised still further thanks to revised upper ball joints which significantly increase camber and toe stiffness. Both models also feature a rear electronic active differential (EAD) to optimise traction.

The torque on-demand all-wheel drive system with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) technology – available on the F-TYPE 75** and standard on the R 75 – further enhances traction and dynamics – on all surfaces and in all weathers – while maintaining F-TYPE’s characteristic rear-wheel drive feel and handling balance.

All 300PS four-cylinder F-TYPE models use meticulously tuned monotube dampers to deliver the ride and handling attributes which give these models their unique character, while F-TYPE 75** and R 75 are equipped with Jaguar’s Adaptive Dynamics system with Configurable Dynamics. Using electronically controlled, continuously-variable dampers, Adaptive Dynamics optimises both low speed comfort and high speed control, while Configurable Dynamics enables the driver to tailor the settings for suspension stiffness, steering weight, throttle response and gearshifts.

Every F-TYPE in the range is equipped with distinctive 20-inch wheels. All offer a choice of one standard and three optional designs, including forged wheels for the R 75. As befits its position as the performance flagship of the F-TYPE range, the R 75 features wider, specially-developed Pirelli P Zero tyres – 265/35/ZR20 and 305/30/ZR20 front and rear respectively – to provide exceptional levels of grip.

The F-TYPE R 75 can be specified with Jaguar’s Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) braking system. Featuring 398mm and 380mm front and rear discs with six- and four-piston monobloc calipers with a distinctive yellow finish, this system delivers exceptional braking performance with outstanding fade resistance.

    Powertrain

F-TYPE’s range of powerful, responsive engines includes four- and eight-cylinder options with outputs from 300PS to 575PS – a breadth of choice unrivalled in its segment. All are paired with an eight-speed Quickshift transmission with full manual control using either the SportShift gear selector or the steering wheel-mounted paddles. All engines are made at Jaguar Land Rover’s Engine Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton, UK.

Exclusively rear-wheel drive, the 300PS, 2.0-litre turbocharged Ingenium four-cylinder engine generates maximum torque from just 1,500rpm, delivering exceptional throttle response throughout the rev range. It also provides the performance expected from F-TYPE and enables acceleration from 0-60mph in only 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.

The 450PS, 5.0-litre supercharged V8 has been developed to offer exploitable, useable and rewarding performance – maximum torque of 580Nm is generated from 2,500rpm. Available in the F-TYPE 75**, this engine is offered with a choice of all-wheel drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics or – for purists – rear-wheel drive. Both feature an electronic active rear differential to optimise traction, and both enable 0-60mph in just 4.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 177mph.

For truly exceptional performance in all weathers and on any kind of road there is the F-TYPE R 75. Offered exclusively with all-wheel drive, its supercharged V8 delivers 575PS and a remarkable 700Nm of torque: the benchmark sprint to 60mph takes just 3.5 seconds, while maximum speed is an electronically limited 186mph.

Each engine is matched to a switchable active exhaust system as standard. The distinctive crackle and pop on the overrun synonymous with F-TYPE, remains, with sounds meticulously tuned to suit the distinctive character of each model. Highly efficient, close-coupled particulate filters help to minimise emissions.

Customers who choose a V8 benefit from the Quiet Start function, which ensures a more subtle, refined start-up sound: electrically actuated bypass valves in the rear silencer remain closed until they automatically open up under load, releasing the signature roar which has always been fundamental to the F-TYPE driving experience. If desired, Quiet Start can be over-ridden by selecting Dynamic Mode or by pressing the switchable exhaust button before starting the engine.

The first customer deliveries begin from January 2023 – the year which marks 75 years of Jaguar sports cars – and a pivotal moment in the brand’s history as it proudly moves towards an all-electric future from 2025.

The 2024 Model Year Jaguar F-TYPE range (market-dependant) is made at the Castle Bromwich plant in the UK and comprises:

    • F-TYPE R-Dynamic:   300PS Four-cylinder; rear-wheel drive
    • F-TYPE 75:                 450PS V8; rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive
    • F-TYPE R 75:             575PS V8; all-wheel drive

The F-TYPE’s four-cylinder and V8 engines are made at Jaguar Land Rover’s state-of-the-art Engine Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton, UK.

  • NOVITEC Ferrari SF90 Spider

A system output of 816 kW / 1,109 hp, zero to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds, efficient aerodynamics and spectacular looks: With its sophisticated refinement range for the Ferrari SF90 Spider, NOVITEC once more underpins its status as the world’s leading automotive refinement specialist for the great sports cars from Maranello.

NOVITEC rose to the challenge of enabling a modern super sports car with plug-in hybrid drive to deliver even better performance on the road. The engine specialists developed special maps for the electronic management system of the four-liter, twin-turbo combustion engine. In addition, they created a high-performance exhaust system with metal catalysts. This combination realizes an output increase of 80 kW / 109 hp.

In conjunction with the three electric motors, the result is a massive system output of 816 kW / 1,109 hp. Consequently, the drop-top two-seater accelerates from rest to 100 km/h in a mere 2.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of more than 340 km/h.

In concert with the 21-inch alloys developed together with Vossen, the NOVITEC carbon upgrade for the bodywork gives the mid-engined sports car even more spectacular looks.

A sports car famously can never have an excess of power and thus NOVITEC also developed a performance upgrade for the Ferrari SF90 Spider with plug-in hybrid drive. The work focused on the V8 with two turbochargers. New maps for injection, ignition and the electronic boost pressure control were developed in complex testing. They are introduced into the engine management system of the two-seater by a NOVITEC N-TRONIC module for each cylinder bank.

The developers identified further potential in the exhaust system. The production catalysts can be replaced with custom-developed 100-cell metal components, which optimize emission control. They ensure enhanced performance, as does the meticulously tuned NOVITEC high-performance exhaust system. High-temperature insulation lowers the temperatures in the engine bay, which likewise contributes to improved engine performance. The versions with 999 fine gold plating dissipate the heat particularly efficiently and are of course also very attractive to look at.

During the design and tuning of the system, the focus naturally also was on a thrilling exhaust note. Owners of an SF90 can choose between variants with and without electronic sound management by means of actively controlled butterfly valves. To give the rear appearance a further upgrade as well, NOVITEC also offers 112mm tailpipes with carbon embellishers.

The combination of all NOVITEC high-performance components bumps peak output of the combustion engine by 80 kW / 109 hp and peak torque by 118 Nm. The three electric motors plus the tuned combustion engine’s 654 kW / 889 hp at 7,300 rpm add up to a system output of 816 kW / 1,109 hp.

As a result, the NOVITEC-tuned hybrid sports car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in a mere 2.4 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. The top speed increases to more than 340 km/h.

At these speeds, the aerodynamics play a crucial role. That is why the NOVITEC designers went into the wind tunnel to develop spoilers that further optimize the handling stability. All parts are made from naked carbon, which lends the Ferrari full-blooded racing looks to boot.

The central NOVITEC spoiler and the detachable side sections on the front fascia produce additional downforce at high speeds. The carbon flaps, which route the airflow past the front wheel arches, add the streamlining finishing touches. The ducktail spoiler and the diffuser at the rear ensure outstanding aerodynamic balance.

Carbon fiber from the NOVITEC Manufaktur hand-finish production shop adds further spectacular highlights to the SF90 Spider. The front hood can be upgraded visually with two surrounds for the lower air outlet and a cover for the windshield. The NOVITEC Race fenders and their air outlets in the top give the sports car undiluted racing looks and vent the air heated by the front brakes faster from the wheel wells.

NOVITEC also modifies the side view extensively. This includes carbon rocker panels, covers for the side mirrors and trim on the windows. The NOVITEC air deflection elements aft of the doors optimize the supply of fresh air to the engine.

The NOVITEC designers’ love of detail is rounded off by tailor-made naked-carbon elements for the engine bay and its hood, and by the trim for the luggage compartment in the nose of the vehicle.

NOVITEC also offers exclusive alloy wheels for the Ferrari SF90 Spider. The company secured the services of American high-end manufacturer Vossen as the supplier. Vossen produces these wheels using state-of-the-art forging and machining technology. The NOVITEC NF10 wheels compel on account of their five delicate twin-spokes and the hub cover in centerlock look. The wheels of sizes 9.5Jx21 with tires of size 255/30 ZR 21 on the front axle and 12Jx21 and 325/25 ZR 21 at the rear make perfect use of the available space under the wheel arches. Alternatively, the NOVITEC range for the SF90 Spider also features other exclusive wheels with diameters of 20 and 21 inches.

NOVITEC sports springs can fine-tune the looks and driving dynamics further. They lower the ride height of the hybrid Ferrari by 30 millimeters at the front and by 25 millimeters at the rear axle. This not only benefits the looks, but also makes the handling even more agile due to the lowered center of gravity. A front lift system is also part of the NOVITEC range. It raises the front of the car by 40 millimeters at the touch of a button in the cockpit in order to be able to navigate obstacles or ramps in parking garages more easily.

NOVITEC customizes the interior appointments of any Ferrari SF90 as the customer desires as well. To this end, NOVITEC offers leather and Alcantara in virtually any color, which it transforms into interiors in a multitude of designs.

More power, greater refinement for the Duramax Turbo-Diesel

The available enhanced 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel, paired with the 10-speed Allison transmission, now delivers 470 hp (at 2800 rpm) and 975 lb-ft (at 1600 rpm) of torque, offering more power across the entire operating speed range. Specifically, low-end torque production increases up to 25% compared to the current model for improved towing performance.

The 2024 Sierra HD will also offer best-in-class 2500 Crew Cab towing of up to 21,900 pounds and max 2500 towing of up to 22,500 pounds, enabled by a new available Max Tow Package.

Additional changes and upgrades were designed to produce a more efficient combustion and enhance overall performance. This latest iteration of the Duramax engines adds additional refinements including:

    • An all-new, more efficient turbocharger with improved efficiency to boost low-end torque
    • Increased power and torque over the entire operating speed range
    • Improved engine braking with a more powerful turbo vane actuator and uprated valve springs
    • New cylinder heads with improved cooling jackets
    • An all-new combustion system within the heads that’s matched with next-generation, higher-flow injectors and greater fuel injection pressure
    • All-new engine controller

10-speed Allison transmission enhances gas-engine trailering capability

The Allision 10-speed automatic transmission is now paired with the Sierra HD’s standard 6.6L gas engine. It replaces the previous six-speed automatic, offering smaller “steps” between the gears, which enables the 6.6L gas engine to hold closer to its peak power (401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque) for longer periods.

That translates into a more confident feeling of on-demand power, regardless of whether the truck is towing a trailer — but when it is, trailering performance and capability are enhanced thanks in part to the 10-speed configuration, along with the capability of channeling every single pound-foot of torque to the tires in every gear.

    Elevated and Purposeful Technology

    Best-in-Class Trailering Assistance Technologies

The 2024 Sierra HD will also offer the most trailering assistance technologies in the heavy-duty class through the available ProGrade Trailering System. The ProGrade Trailering System includes a suite of available intelligent trailering assistance technologies designed to help streamline the hitching and towing process, with integrated tools that help enhance customers’ feelings of safety, confidence and visibility including these new enhancements:

    • Available Enhanced, Industry First Transparent Trailer View for Gooseneck and Fifth Wheel Trailering: Allows the driver to virtually “see through” the trailer. Using the camera mounted on the rear of the truck and an accessory camera on the back of the trailer, it pieces together a view of the area behind the truck and trailer as if the trailer was not there, improving visibility. An enhanced version of this technology for model year 2024 enables compatibility with gooseneck and fifth-wheel trailers.
    • Available Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert: Extends side blind zone alerts to include the blind zone areas around the trailer.
    • New GCW Alert: This all-new feature warns the driver if the vehicle and trailer weight exceed the vehicle’s Gross Combined Weight Rating.
    • New, Available Adaptive Cruise Control with Trailering: Allows the Sierra HD’s available Adaptive Cruise Control to be used while trailering and to account for additional drag and increased braking distances when towing a trailer.

In total, the 2024 Sierra Heavy Duty offers up to 14 available camera views including:

    • Hitch Guidance with Hitch View: Provides a close-up view of the receiver hitch to help with alignment when connecting to a trailer.
    • Bed View with Zoom and Bed Hitch Guidance: Allows you to see the cargo bed to help with fifth-wheel or gooseneck hitching or to briefly check on cargo.
    • Rear Side View with Trailer Length Indicator: With a compatible trailer attached and a turn signal activated, this view will show a full screen down the side of the truck along with a Trailer Length Indicator to aid in lane-change maneuvers by visually showing obstructions with the trailer in adjacent lanes.

    High-Tech Digital Displays

The centerpiece of Sierra’s high-tech interior cabin is the new available 13.4-inch-diagonal tablet-style touchscreen — the largest infotainment touchscreen in its class. Situated in landscape orientation, the touchscreen offers a user-friendly, customizable experience. An available multicolor 15-inch-diagonal head-up display and a new available 12.3-inch-diagonal digital instrument cluster are also added in 2024 model year. Together, this creates over 40 inches of immersive digital displays helping to provide an engaging, customizable and comprehensive driving experience.

The all-new touchscreen infotainment center can be configured to a user’s preference, including the ability to operate multiple apps simultaneously in a “split-screen” view (e.g., a Navigation app running on the left side of the screen and a Music app on the right). Sierra HD’s infotainment system will also integrate Google built-in (on all trims except Pro) allowing customers to connect virtually every aspect of their daily lives within their vehicle. The system is compatible with both Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto.

    Premium Safety Features

  • Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2

The Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 was launched in 1966, a mere three years after the founding of Automobili Lamborghini. Despite the company’s early days, the 400 GT 2+2 was already credited as one of the best grand tourers available on the market. It was the perfect expression of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s original concept of creating the fastest, most comfortable and beautiful GT, and its 2+2 configuration also made it quite practical. It was designed by Carrozzeria Touring, then one of the leading firms in terms of style and high quality craftsmanship, and equipped with a 4-liter DOHC V-12 engine, the architecture of which is still today a trademark of Automobili Lamborghini.

  • MANHART TM3 510 Tesla Model 3

The market share of electric cars has been growing unstoppably for years and new model series from all manufacturers are being launched almost incessantly. Tesla is one of the absolute pioneers in the field of electric vehicles. With the Model 3, Elon Musk’s vehicle brand is celebrating impressive sales successes. Among petrolheads, however, electric cars still have a hard time, being considered unemotional and impossible to tune. We at MANHART Performance now prove that this is a misconception.

With the TM3 510, we now present our refined interpretation of the mid-range electric car from the USA. As usual, the three-digit number in the designation gives an indication of the vehicle’s performance: to be precise, the drive of the hatchback model generates a total output of 377 kW, or 513 hp. However, for once this impressive output is not due to a power increase on our part, but is the standard value, just like the 660 Nm. The TM3 510 is based on the top Model 3 Performance version with two powerful electric motors. An 82 kWh lithium-ion battery is on board as the power storage unit.

Meanwhile, we have made significant visual improvements: Thanks to a suspension optimisation including MANHART lowering springs by H&R, the Tesla ducks significantly closer to the asphalt. In addition, large-format new wheels sit under the wings: these are MANHART Barracuda rims in 9×21 inch with a Platinum Grey finish. Alternatively, the rim colour can be individually configured. The tyres measure 235/30R21. A carbon front spoiler gives the body of the TM3 510 an even more striking appearance. Added to this is the characteristic MANHART decal set: in this case it is matt grey and red and also gives the Tesla a suggested radiator grille with honeycomb mesh on its closed front apron. To round things off, the rear and rear side windows are dark tinted.

Last but not least, the braking system and the interior of the model shown also remained in standard condition. However, we can also provide individually configurable upgrades here on request.
