  • Advanced Guide to Writing a Good Car Review: The Essential Points You Have to Insert

    2019-Review-910A review paper is an interesting and important piece of writing. A lot depends on the topic and if it’s interesting, you’ll be enthusiastic about it. Many students adore writing car reviews. Cars attract both boys and girls. Accordingly, you will like to write such an assignment. Of course, you should follow some recommendations on how to write a review properly.

    We can help you with this issue. A review is an objective evaluation of a concrete subject. In this case, it’s some model of a car. You should pass the next stages:

    • Prepare to write.
    • Test the vehicle.
    • Write the review.
    • Revise the paper.

    We’ll cast more light on every part to provide you with the necessary insights taken from a team of advanced writers.

    Part #1

    Before you start to write, you should get prepared and be fully armed with certain data and materials. The first step is to choose a concrete vehicle. It will be your topic. For instance, you may choose a Ford F-150. You should understand that your investigation may go two ways. You will either like the car or no. At any rate, you’re obliged to be objective and write all the details about the testing of the car and its major abilities.

    While you compose the outline, think about the main points to disclose. Consider your audience. Ask yourself what your readers would like to know about the car you review. Try to find out all those details. One of the best ways to write a good car review is to read reviews of other authors. These may be even car journals and magazines. You’re not obliged to read some scientific reviews.

    Define the type of the car, find some data on its creation, write about its manufacturer, find out what it was created for, find some design peculiarities and so on. Make sure you have selected the trustworthy information sources.

    Part #2

    The second part may be a bit complicated. You have to drive the chosen vehicle on your own. What are the possible obstacles? First of all, you and your mates may not have this car. To overcome it, visit an auto store and ask for test-driving.

    Secondly, you may have no driving license or even not know how to drive a car. To overcome this issue, ask an experienced driver to take you for a drive. Try to feel the way the vehicle moves and fulfills its functions. Drive as much as possible and try all the features and functions offered by the car. Try out the navigation system, sensors, breaks, the backup camera, and even the stereo system. Evaluate its quality, power, and convenience.

    To make objective conclusions, you should drive a new car. At least find the one, which goes perfectly and has to defects. If you try a damaged vehicle, your analysis won’t be fair. Ask the opinion of other drivers who drove this model. Another crucial tip is to test similar models of competitors. Other car companies release similar models and if you test them too, you can use the method of compare and contrast. It will help to receive a better understanding of the quality of the reviewed vehicle.

    Don’t forget to make notes. Otherwise, you may miss some crucial points. Every detail may be important.

    Part #3

    The next part of your car review is to write a draft or two. Begin with the introduction. It should provide some general data on your paper. Tell your readers what type of car you’ve chosen for the analysis and explain your choice.

    The main plot reveals all the features, advantages and drawbacks of the car. Have a strong and objective opinion. Even if you don’t like a too modern style of a car, don’t write “The design is overly modern”. Better replace this statement with the following sentence “The design and style are more modern than I prefer, but it’s suitable for most youngsters”.

    Try to use real examples out of life. This approach will make your research catchier and won’t be a boring enumeration of facts. Don’t say “The cabin is quiet”. Make the story more vivid and write something like this “The silence of the cabin is perfect and I can easily hear everything that happens around. I can even hold a normal conversation via the cell phone”.

    Of course, you ought to cover the whole car. While your driving test, pay attention to aesthetic, practicability, performance, price, comfort and so on. Provide your readers with all they want to find out about the car.

    Afterward, implement your conclusion. Give an objective evaluation of the vehicle. Tell all about the advantages and disadvantages. Justify your viewpoint and explain why you’d choose this vehicle or would not. Remain impartial and fair no matter how good or bad your test drive was.

    Part #4

    Finally, reread your review. Never be lazy and don’t skip revising. It helps to define some weak points and mistakes that may be critical. There are a lot of things to consider. Pay attention to:

    • Structure;
    • Grammar;
    • Word choice;
    • Style;
    • Punctuation;
    • Spelling;
    • Transitions and similar essentials.

    You’re welcome to use as many checking methods as you want. Don’t forget about plagiarism, grammar, and style checking programs. They sufficiently quicken and ease this process. After you find all the mistakes and fix them, you can freely submit the paper.

  • 4 Signs You’re Buying a Lemon

    2019-Lemon-910When buying a used or pre-owned car, it’s expected that there will be some wear and tear that comes with it. Used cars are a great way to save money when buying a car and if you do your research, you can end up with a car that will last you years to come. However, if you’re new to the car buying scene and are unsure how to go about buying a reliable car, you may end up with a lemon. Whether you’re looking for a car to learn how to drive, or you’re ready for your tenth car, you need to know what you should look for in a car. To avoid being scammed and driving home with a car that doesn’t serve its purpose, take a look at these telltale warning signs that might point to your car being a lemon.

    A Messy Interior

    Sure, no used car is going to have a spotless interior. We’ve all had those scenarios where we’ve had to brake really hard and spilled our coffee on our seat or had backseat passengers spilling crumbs all over the place. However, if you’re looking at a car with an interior that looks like a tornado swept through it, it most likely means the rest of the car wasn’t taken good care of, either. So, if you open the door and get hit with odd odors such as oil or a burnt smell, that isn’t a good sign. If this is the case, you should most likely walk away and head back to the drawing table and begin searching again. To avoid issues like these, you can use car history services that conduct a background check on the vehicle you’re purchasing using the VIN to get a report.

    Loud Noises or Sounds

    This goes without saying, but if you take a test drive of your car before purchasing it and hear loud noises or sounds, something is definitely wrong. If you hear a hissing, humming, buzzing, knocking, or any other sound while you’re driving, especially from under the hood, something such as a gasket or piston could blow. Ignoring your sense of hearing while searching for a car can cost you hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars in repairs in the long run.

    And don’t think only used cars can turn out to be lemons. New cars can have their own defects, too. Say you’re outside the Windy City of Chicago looking for a new Mercedes for sale in Naperville, or on the market for a shiny new Aston Martin in Miami. If you schedule a test drive with your dealer and notice anything is off, begin asking questions right away. Some sketchy dealerships may practice fraudulent activity and have the facade of a legitimate business. Always do your research, especially when buying a new car for thousands of dollars, to drive home in a vehicle that is reliable, smooth, and clean.

    Pulling or Shaking

    Never judge a book by its cover, especially when it comes to car buying. Online photos of your car may seem appealing, but once you hit the streets, you may think otherwise. Always take the car you’re looking to buy for a test drive on a highway or a street with a faster speed limit. Doing so will allow you to gauge whether the car begins to pull in one direction or starts shaking as you increase speed. If you notice these tendencies, it could mean that there is an alignment problem with the car. Searching for the perfect car takes time and patience. You never want to jump the gun and write a check for a car you don’t feel 100 percent about driving in. Use all of your senses (besides taste!) when previewing potential cars to ensure you don’t end up with a lemon!

    Poor Suspension

    The suspension of your car is extremely important. It’s responsible for creating a smooth ride and keeping your car in control. The suspension of your car consists of many working parts, such as the tires, chassis, springs, and shock absorbers to support road handling. To test a potential car’s suspension, push down on the front and rear bumpers. Does the car move up and down? Or is it completely stiff? If the car doesn’t pass the bumper test and is extremely stiff, there may be a suspension problem. Checking the suspension is an important tip when buying a car because without proper suspension, you could put you and your passengers in harm’s way.

    The Bottom Line

    Buying a car, new or used, is a big investment. You want a vehicle that will keep you safe and last you for years to come without having to shell out tons of money on repairs. To avoid driving home in an awful car, follow these four tips to identify warning signs of a lemon.

  • Aston Martin proudly reveals Vantage AMR beast!

    2019 Aston Martin Vantage AMR Renowned for delivering one of the most advanced drivetrain systems, Aston Martin Vantage lineup meets its latest member: Vantage AMR.

    Already launched at the FIA World Endurance Championship Super Season, the new model comes with a promise to deliver even better performance rates and even more enhanced looks and aerodynamic features. Let’s check out more, shall we?

    Drivetrain system

    The heart of the beast is a new alloy 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. What is special about this particular unit, is that it is mounted as far as possible, in order to ensure optimal center of gravity and near perfect 50:50 weight distribution. Furthermore, it is a highly efficient system that delivers a total of 510hp and 65Nm of torque, which are enough to ensure some pretty quick sprints: from 0 to 100km/h in mere 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 351km/h (195mph).

    2019 Aston Martin Vantage AMR

    Furthermore, Vantage AMR is equipped with a performance-focused 7-speed gearbox, exclusively developed by Graziano. It features a “dog-leg” first gear and is designed in such a way that the gearstick movement is based on the traditional double H pattern. This gearbox is mated to a limited-slip differential, tuned and calibrated exclusively by Aston Martin’s lead dynamics team, headed by Chief Engineer Matt Becker, from the team’s base at Silverstone Race Circuit.

    Additionally, the Vantage AMR’s manual gearbox also includes AMSHIFT. This is a special system, which uses clutch, gear position and prop shaft sensors, all along with fine-tuned engine management program in order to mimic the technique of heel-and-doe downshifts. The process of blipping the throttle while braking and changing gear allows smoother deceleration and more confident cornering as a result.

  • Vilner Bulgaria tweaks up a legend! Check it out!

    2019 Vilner Bulgaria Trabant 601Atanas Vilner says that everyone born before 1990 would instantly recognize a Trabant when sees one. Being a symbol of separation and of several generations, this small machine still brings tons of memories for those who have lived back in the day in Eastern Europe. Even after 1990s, this particular machine remains one of the most popular in the area.

    Casually named the East-German VW Beetle, Trabant still can undergo upgrades and changes that would make it contemporary looking and confident on the streets. The one that has entered the Vilner studio is of the latest produced. It is Trabant 601 and is geared with a 1.0-liter VW Polo Mkl engine with gear stick on the floor instead on the dashboard.

    Again in designers’ words, the vehicle has received interior trimming, which was never before applied to a Trabant machine. It has retained this retro vibe and well-known ambience, but it was crafted with all contemporary techniques and fabrics.

    2019 Vilner Bulgaria Trabant 601

    Dominated by leather and textile, the cabin showcases neat new cover for the seats from Ivory Soft leather with the original design still present. There are also leather and textile components on the dashboard in Charcoal Black theme.

    Furthermore, the steering wheel was changed with a Momo design, also covered with black leather and contrast stitching. There’s also a large 21 badge in the center. This is due to the fact that Atanas Vilner’s favorite number is indeed 21 and all “Sachsenring Karosseriemodule” marking were changed with this particular number. One can see it on the B-colons, in the center of the wheels, doors and even on the roof. Neat! • Three Important Things You Need to Know About the Traditional Orbital Buffer

    2019-Orbital-Buffer-910Whenever you are faced with a detailing job of any kind with your car, you have to be able to confidently and informedly select the right tools for the job. Different kinds of buffers have been invented and created for a wide array of different purposes, and you will likely need more than one kind to complete a maintenance and paint correction job from start to finish.

    Nonetheless, if you are just building up your tools supply and you are not sure where to begin with it, it is always a good a idea to get an orbital buffer for starters. They are possibly the single most beginner-friendly option out there. Here are all the bare bones essential things that you need to know about them.

    When they come into use and where you can get one

    The traditional orbital buffer is also known under the name “wax spreader”, because that is essentially the only thing it does. These tools have been floating around on the market since the 1940s or 50s, possibly even earlier.

    They are not very expensive, relatively speaking, and you would be able to find them fairly easily at any of the standard department stores like Walmart, Target and so on. Also, the vast majority of auto parts stores will typically have them for sale, and most will feature a middle range average price of about thirty dollars (the cheapest ones will come at a handful of dust, only $15, and the most expensive ones will jump up to $70 and even more).

    They actually have a pretty cool history

    How about we go back in time a little bit? Back before the 1980s, all the cars, trucks, and whatever other vehicles that were built at the time, had only single stage paint applied to them, such as enamel or lacquer.

    This is in direct opposition to modern day vehicles, which feature three layers stacked on top of the actual body panel. These layers are the primer coat, which is applied directly to the vehicle surface, then a coat of color base, and then a clear coat as a final protective layer which also provides that beautiful sheen.

    Now, when it happened that this old 1980s paint would oxidize (develop rust patches and discoloration), you could easily use a plain old orbital buffer to get rid of these blemishes, because the structure of the old paint was comparably quite soft, unlike modern paints. Take a look at this online article for some insight into the history of car paint.

    The oxidation of these old paints manifested in the earlier stages as a sort of murky white overcast on the color, as if it were covered in white chalk dust. The only way to prevent such an unsightly development was to regularly wax and polish your vehicle, which is also the biggest problem of old paints – they were actually rather high maintenance.

    This oxidation trouble was removed by the orbital buffer tool, by applying some rubbing compound onto its face and then basically using that to chew away at the old paint. This would uncover a layer of fresher paint, which you would then polish and wax for a fully restored, shiny finish. Nowadays, if you wanted to restore a retro wheeler, you would also get a coat of paint sealant for protection.

    They cannot remove scratches, water stains and swirls – and this is why

    To begin with, even though orbital buffers are awesome when it comes to re-polishing retro colors, they do not have anywhere near the power that you would need to remove those kinds of blemishes from your vehicle. They also tend to feature faces, bonnets, or buffing pads that are too large and clunky for the purpose.

    Furthermore, these types of buffers are tools of a single fixed speed. They have and “on button’ and an “off button” and that is just about all of the control that you get. The tool can function only at one predetermined speed level, which as a rule is not fast enough to be any level of effective at removing the water stains, swirls, and scratches from your clear coat finishes.

    In alignment with the previous point, the traditional orbital buffer is just too slow to deal with this kind of damage. Of course, you may still apply it to the above mentioned three types of damage to the vehicle coat, but whatever you achieve will remain only on the surface. Anything deeper, and the tool will be rendered ineffective. Instead you would have to opt for a polisher or buffer that has variable speed settings which you can adjust at will, and it will need to be fairly fast at the “high speed” setting.
