Bugatti exhibition at the Peterson: fine vehicles and fine memories. Enjoy!

2016 Art of Bugatti A year after the grand re-opening, the Peterson does what would please all fans of retro automobiles: it unveils the most comprehensive retrospective of the Bugatti lineup in history, showing brand’s vehicles in a different way: as a piece of art, as fine sculptures, furniture and of course, as vehicles that forever changed the appearance of the automobile world.

The aim of Art of Bugatti project is to give an inside look at the history of the brand, history of different vehicles and whole lineups and of course, show the remarkable life path of Carlo Bugatti and his heritage to us all.

Some of the vehicles that would be on display are the Type 31 Royale, Type 57 Atalante, Type 35 and Type 46. Also, there are going to be some modern-day vehicles as the EB110 and the recently debuted Chriron. The whole exhibition shows the evolution of both Bugatti’s style, change of thinking of both Ettore Bugatti and his son Jean and last, but not least, the evolution of automobile engineering and technology.

The Art of Bugatti exhibition opens on October 23, 2016 in Mullin Grand Salon on the first floor of the Petersen Museum. This collection will show you more about Bugatti family and their notable achievements in the world of cars. Also, visitors would be happy to know that this is the first ever exhibition of this kind, so they should feel glad for making themselves visit it.

Acura Precision Concept has received some special attention at the Concours d’Elegance

2016 Acura Precision Concept Acura Precision Concept was chosen as one of the featured models on the Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, August 21. As we have told you, the vehicle is created at the Acura Design Studio in California as a dynamic and passionate expression of Acura’s ‘Precision Crafted Performance’ project.

The Concept itself offers a supercar-like stance, high-performance-oriented drivetrain system and overall body shape, neat proportions and of course, this impeccable styling that only Acura designers can develop and deliver us.

Furthermore, the athletic stance is enhanced by deep side surfaces and large and beautiful 22-inch wheels. In terms of styling, the vehicle strikes with signature lights: the front strikes with Jewel Constellation LED headlights and the back hits with floating LED taillights.

Of course, the worthy vehicle also proudly shows a neat interior design with cantilevered surfaces that meet sweet tones, modern details and all-time classic lines and curves. Instantly recognizable are the double-layered instrument panel, the high-contrast front seat surfaces, the thin floating rear seats and the modern lounge furniture.

Long story short, this vehicle is far more valuable and beautiful than we all thought. So, we do congratulate the whole Acura team and we wish themthe very best of luck, love and success.

FIAT 124 Spider Anniversary Edition is sold out! We still try to find out what is so special about this one

2016 FIAT 124 Spider Anniversary Edition Remember that sweet FIAT 124 Spider Anniversary Edition that first showed up at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March? The same one, created to honor the 50th anniversary of the original roadster back in 1966? It is sold out. This is it. The end.

So, we did like the vehicle, but we were not convinced it would sell out that quickly. In fact, there is only one question that bothers us: what makes this vehicle so damn special?

Exclusive and limited to 124 units, the model offers unique equipment specifications and features: buyers are granted with Passionate Red exterior paint, premium silver finish on the windscreen frame, rollover bars and door mirrors and of course tons of “Anniversary Edition” badges. In case owner forgot. Or, in case of random passengers did not realize what they are seeing.

So, what else? There are LED adaptive headlights, seven-inch touch screen infotainment system, satellite navigation, DAB radio, USB ports, Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth connectivity. All usual stuff that usual vehicles do offer as standard features. And you know what more there is? Keyless start, BOSE audio system, rear parking sensor and 17-inch alloys. Now it sounds mediocre.

But maybe there are sweet additions within the drivetrain system? Owners can show off with FIAT’s proven 1.4-liter MultiAir turbo-charged four-cylinder power unit with maximum output of 140hp (104kW) and 240Nm of torque. What is actually special about the drivetrain system is that it comes with double-wishbone front and multilink rear suspension, lightweight roadster architecture and fine-tuned weight distribution and rear-wheel drive chassis.

2017 Vanquish Zagato Volante: too much refinement is never enough

2017 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante Aston Martin proudly announces the partner of the Vanquish Zagato Coupe: Vanquish Zagato Volante. This sweetheart will accompany the North American debut of the Coupe model and will be strictly limited to just 99 vehicles. Created at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon, England, Volante has a lot to demonstrate.

Overwhelming customer interest and positive feedback

Zagato Volante is a fine creation from a collaboration of almost 60 years. As you might know, everything started with the 1960 DB4 GT Zagato race car and throughout the years there were new and worthy additions: DB7 Vantage Zagato of 2002, 2011 V12 Vantage Zagato and now, the most recent to date is the Zagato Coupe, announced earlier this year.

In fact, there were also previous convertibles Zagato models: we immediately think of the striking V8 Vantage Volante, first shown back in 1987 and the DB AR1 back in 2003. The last one, the DB AR1 was also limited to 99 units and is considered to be one of the finest collectable models worldwide. And as it looks like, Aston Martin team continues the tradition to strike our minds with unique style and quality.

2017 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante

Vanquish Zagato Volante is expected to be a mighty addition to the lineup: embodying Aston Martin’s refined taste and meticulous attention to detail, Zagato is expected to deliver 592hp (444kW) and have an acceleration rate, measured at 3.7 seconds for a run from 0 to 100km/h (62mph).

Exterior tweaks

In terms of exterior styling, Volante shares the same proportions as the Coupe: definitely an instant-recognizable Aston Martin vehicle, this one also has this classic Zagato twist with round tail light reflectors and the same bladed LED technology as in the Vulcan supercar. We see neat twin cowls on the rear deck that blend into the leading edge of the luggage compartment, concealing a folding hood and cool carbon-fiber sills around the lower body to add that boost to the sporty appearance and performance. We tend to like this design.

Of course, we expect nothing, but the finest, as it comes to comfort and quality of an Aston Martin vehicle. Of course, we expect that there would be tons of personalization features, but what we also know so far is that the Volante will offer 100% Aston Martin driving experience, blended with new-age technologies. Audi announces details for the Q2 Edition #1: what’s so special about it?

2016 Audi Q2 Edition #1 Audi is ready to launch its new compact SUV and show why it is not afraid of experimenting. the Q2 Edition #1 comes in exclusive gray interior finish, black and Manhattan gray exterior details, stylish 19-inch wheels and long list of standard features. Eventual buyers can expect first deliveries in early September this year.

Q2 Edition #1 is based on the looks of the S lineup and features sporty bumpers and sills, distinctive diffuser and some exclusive additions: black blade on the C-pillar, black exterior mirror housings. And all this is topped with new paint finish, Quantum Gray. Sweet. And depending on the angle of light rays, the dark tone changes character from completely homogeneus to intense mix between light and shadows.

2016 Audi Q2 Edition #1

What we also know is that Audi will feature the Singleframe grile and bumpers, athracite black 19-inch wheels with five-arm rotor design, standard LED headlights and rear lights.

In terms of interior, the special edition will try to impress customers and Audi enthusiasts with height-adjustable sporty seats, leather-covered multifunctional sports steering wheel, heather pack and illuminated aluminum door sill trims. The standard dominating colors would be black and amaretto with slight accents of titanium gray.

Mazda reveals a new kind of Miata: sporty, beautiful and exclusive

Functional and flexible, this one is also limited!

Beautiful, passionate and yet simple and elegant, the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF made a quite dramatic debut at this year’s New York International Auto Show. Demonstrated with exclusive color combination and some sweet tweaks, the Grand Touring-based vehicle will definitely be pushing Mazda’s boundaries even further!

Something more: this show car is expected to become the offspring of a special limited lineup of just 1,000 units, bearing the name of MX-5 RF Launch Edition. Cool.

And here’s what we know so far

Mazda North American Operations will notify a special group of customers about the offering of the limited edition and exclusively will offer the vehicle with numerous tweaking features, one of which is the choice between SKYACTIV-MT six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Along with this and the exclusive Machine Grey finish, the lucky buyers will be granted with a custom-designed and numbered 42mm Tourneau watch to complement the limited run. Sweet.

And what about for the rest of Mazda fans?

Well, they will miss… nothing. All these “exclusive” features will be available for purchase, along with numerous more tweakable stuff: the Grand Touring trim level will be available, Auburn Nappa leather interior and badging, Club trim level and more.

Lotus Evora receives a neat upgrade: carbon and style will dominate the vehicle!

2016 Lotus Evora 400 Carbon Pack Lotus, one more time achieving more with doing less, presents some new upgrade tweaks for the Evora 400: there is a new Carbon pack, Lithium-Ion battery and some titanium components. Sweet! So, without further due, let’s check the bag of tricks!

Already available in markets worldwide, the first goodie, the Carbon Pack comes with numerous components and contributes to even greater savings for the overall weight. Being one of the brands that can be proud with its lightweight models, Lotus does not take it for granted and continues to impress us. The pack includes front splitter section, roof panel, rear wing centre, rear diffuser finish, front access panel and last, but not least, wing mirror caps.

Furthermore, all of the parts are handmade and altogether cut a total of 5kg (11lbs) of the overall weight. Of course, the pack has and a visual aspect: it contributes to the sporty and sexy design and adding value to the overall premium feel an look of the vehicle.

Also, Lotus team has introduced a cup holder and oddment tray that are available for all Evora models. These additions are now standard for the USA and Canada specification vehicles and are optional for the EU and Asia. With a weight of just 120 grams, the cup holder shows how Lotus bows before customers’ demand and tries to deliver everything that the buyer needs.

Passion unleashed: McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept is here to dominate our hearts!

2016 McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept McLaren Automotive revealed details for the new McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept. The announcement, as you might already know, has been made a bit ahead of the 18th fairway of Pebble Beach golf course at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

What this sweetheart accentuates on is the aural experience both for the driver and onlookers, thanks to the new MSO Exhaust system. Created from titanium and lighter stainless steel, the MSO Exhaust delivers richer and more defined tone, along with some neat visuals as golden titanium nitride tint that changes color to blue/purple as the whole system heats up. Cool.

And as we talk about colors and visuals, the McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept comes in neat Elite ‘Pearl White’, combined with MSO Piano Black pack that brings deep glossy finish to the wheels, side skirts, front and rear door inserts and other details.

Also exclusive for this particular vehicle is the Electro-Chromic Roof. What it does is to take the standard-fit glass roof with UV-protective interlayer and adds electro-chromic interlayer (you don’t say!). And by using touch-sensitive headlining, the Electro-Chromic Roof can be tweaked in five ways, depending on the desire of driver and passengers.

The cabin features a thing called ‘By McLaren’ luxury components in Saddle Tan with integrated 12-speaker Bowser and Wilkins Hi-Fi system. There are numerous carbon-fiber components, as well tons of rich gloss finishes onto numerous details. Sweet.

The heart of the beast

Of course, looks and comfort are nothing without a comprehensive drivetrain system, when it comes to sports car, right? And with no exception, this sweetie is doing just fine, as it comes to power and performance.

The 570GT is geared with McLaren-developed 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 M838TE engine, producing a total of 570hp (425kW) and 600Nm of torque. This massive power is controlled by a seven-speed seamless-shift gearbox that further offers a choice of three driving modes: Normal, Sport and Track, also known as Fast, Super Fast, Super-Mega Fast.

And by Fast we mean really fast: this sweetie finishes the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in mere 3.4 seconds, the 0-200km/h (124mph) in 9.8 seconds and has a top speed of 328km/h (204mph).

Lister Knobby Jaguar Stirling Moss shall present its beauty at this year’s Concours d’Elegance!

2017 Lister Knobby Jaguar Stirling Moss Lister Motor Company proudly announces that the Knobbly Stirling Moss edition will be showcased at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on 20th August.

This is a limited run of vehicles with only 10 units in the whole lineup. Each single one comes with magnesium body and special lightweight specifications that all resemble the original vehicles of the 1950s. The production started back in 2014 at the George Lister Engineering and what is special about these 10 beauties is that they are all built using the same techniques as the original 1950s Knobby, following the acquisition of Lister Motor Company by Andrew and Lawrence Whittaker in 2013.

In fact, we have told you about these fine cars. All of the 10 beauties feature the same specifications as the “works” car that won the Silverstone race back in 1958. A 1973 Jaguar F-Type vehicle with exciting story is offered on sale at the Silverstone Auctions!

1973 Jaguar F-Type Series III Roadster A special Jaguar E-Type that starred in BBC’s Only Fools and Horses, will be offered for sale at Silverstone Auction’s Salon Privé Sale on 3rd of September at the Blenheim Palace.

This unique 1973 Series III Roadster was delivered untouched to Henlys of London back on 11th October 1973 and was quickly purchased by its first and only owner, a successful Swansea businessman, who has relished a fine drive along the Welsh Riviera with top down for the past 40 years. Apparently, this gentleman knows how to relax.

Some years later, in 1981 the vehicle was starring in the second ever episode of Only Fools and Horses, titled Go West Young Man. We’d rather not reveal the plot, but know that you will miss a whole lotta laugh if you decide not to watch.

1973 Jaguar F-Type Series III Roadster

Instantly recognizable with its Old English White finish and blue leather interior, the vehicle spent most of its golden years in storage in a heated garage, but these times are over! 2017 Range Rover Sport comes with a promise for flexibility and quality

Enhanced drivetrain system with neat design tweaks

Land Rover reveals its most efficient Range Rover Sport vehicle, produced so far. 2017 Range Rover comes with revised Ingenium engine, tweaked infotainment system and new semi-autonomous driving technologies. Sweet. But let’s see more in details, shall we?

For 2017 Model Year, Range Rover Sport will show-off with new 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium diesel power unit, created at Jaguar Land Rover’s plant in Wolverhampton. Also available for Discovery Sport and Evoque models, this new piece of technology will try to beat its predecessors with improved efficiency, quality and of course, improved acceleration rates.

Buyers will also be pleased to know that Land Rover also offers and a more powerful 3.0-liter V6 supercharged petrol unit with some more sporty characteristics: some of the most important are 340hp (253kW) and 450Nm of torque. Cool.

Good thing to hear is that Land Rover also introduces new system, along with the engines. After all, why do we need a single power unit, when it is not combined with adequate safety and control functions?

Engineering team proudly introduces Advanced Tow Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Intelligent Speed Limiter systems that work in ideal harmony with rest of the drivetrain components for enhanced levels of comfort and safety. Honestly, we are not sure about how much these additions were needed, but they are already present, so it is a good idea to check them out.

The semi-autonomous additions in details

2017 Land Rover Range Rover Spoert

The first one, the Advanced Tow Assist technology is the first-in-class system that utilizes an already existing cameras and central touchscreen multimedia that together allow the driver to indicate the planned direction and then let the vehicle autonomously steer and drive accordingly. Cool.

The second addition, the Low Traction Launch, aids the driver in any kind of tricky road situations as driving in mud, wet roads or even ice. Once it is engaged, the Low Traction Launch controls the amount of torque the driver applies, when pressing the accelerator. Land Rover team claims that this is the way to add just enough power and flexibility to exit every tricky situation with optimal confidence and fuel efficiency. The question remains: was this technology really a must, or did engineers have way too much free time?

Also new for the upcoming 2017 Model Year is the All-Terrain Information Centre, accessible via the main touch screen. Its main purpose is to show some vital information about road conditions, vehicle health and drivetrain function analysis. Along with it the engineering team adds comprehensive safety suite: there are Front & Rear Park Distance Control, Cruise Control, Speed Limiter and Lane Departure Warning. Sweet. Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. Exclusively for 2017 model there is also Autonomous Emergency Braking.

Exterior tweaks

Of course, there are some changes here and there to mark the general changes in the drivetrain and safety systems. A new Bright Pack is optionally available and adds vivid finish, Atlas Silver front grille mesh and Atlas Silver bonnet mesh. Also, there are a total of 19 new premium colors and different sets of wheels and additions.

SsangYong reveals more details for the 2017 Korando Crossover

2017 SsangYong Korando Crossover The new 2.2-liter Korando crossover will proudly show some value raise with new features as fresh 18-inch diamond cut alloys, sat nav & sidesteps. There are also some new exterior colors: White, Metallic Black and Galaxy Green.

Enthusiasts know that this one is geared with diesel Euro6-compliant power unit and offers two-wheel drive with either a six-speed manual or Aisin 6-speed automatic gearbox. Sweet. Furthermore, there is a newly-developed e-XDi220 diesel engine that meets the requirements of many SsangYong fans out there and offers 178hp (132kW) and 400Nm of torque. And provided that it offers some reduced CO2 emissions, compared to older models, we tend to believe that enthusiasts will be satisfied. Or maybe no?

And now the special part. The exterior is reshaped by the Italian styling house Giugiaro and features clear lines, glass direction indicators, piano black grille and noticeable 18-inch diamond cut alloys. In terms of interior, there is a 7-inch high-resolution touch screen with audio streaming and link to the rear camera. Also present is a TomTom navigation system, USB memory slot, Aux port and HDMI port.

Frankly, I do not like the ambience in the cabin. It might be comfortable and functional, but I can’t accept it: maybe because of the big wooden thing before the front passenger seat, or because SsangYong tried to imitate the clean and beautiful design of super-premium vehicles.
