However, DTE team has decided to add kick to the overall output and prove that the handy machine can do even better.

With a stock 1.5-liter TSI engine that produces a total of 150hp and 250Nm, the T-Roc is an already capable machine, but not for these who seek even more. DTE team has installed a special gadget, named PowerControl X and an additional feature, called PedalBox+. Mazda6 earns top scores from IIHS

Mazda North American Operations announced that the new 2018 Mazda6 sedan has been nominated as one of the “2018 Top Safety Pick” vehicles for 2018 when equipped with the optional Adaptive Front-Lightning System. Such a recognition is important for Mazda – the team has done so much for the past five years and we should admit that the latest Mazda vehicles are just incredible in every aspect – styling, electronics, drivetrain system and of course, safety systems.

In order to qualify for 2018 Top Safety Pick, a vehicle should earn Good rate for driver-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests. Also, it should earn Advanced or Superior score when it comes to crash prevention and at least Acceptable at the headlight rating test.

Standard features include electronic parking brake, rearview camera, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. These sound good enough, but as you could imagine, Mazda team is not satisfied with mediocrity or event with meeting just the lowest requirements. This is why Mazda buyers can also find LED headlights and tail lights, Smart City Brake Support and the whole i-ACTIVE package that includes Smart Brake Support, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, High Beam Control, automatic on/off headlights and more. BMW announces details about unveiling new vehicles

2018 BMW M8 Gran Coupe Concept BMW announces details about an unveiling of a new BMW vehicle on Thursday, August 23 at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. There would also be a special press conference that would present the North American Premiere of a new BMW M850i Coupe and North American Premiere of the highly-anticipated BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupe that, as you might well remember, was first shown at the Geneva Auto Show in May 2018.

What we also know is that the identity of the World Premiere model will be revealed closer to the time of the press conference. We do presume that this would be an emotional and much-needed addition to the whole BMW range.

In fact, this time last year BMW presented Concept 8 Series Coupe on the Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach event and made a review of a forthcoming model line. This year BMW has already revealed some of the production models from the 8 Series: 2019 BMW M850i and a new concept car M8 Gran Coupe. The second one, the Gran Cope Concept symbolizes a new and unique understanding of refinement and styling: like many other premium BMW units, the Concept showcases new design language, expressive surfacing and advanced drivetrain features.

Audi announces further details for the new Q3 family SUV

2018-Audi-Q3-910 The new Audi Q3 is here and it has a lot to showcase. This is the second generation of the family SUV and it is way more advanced, confident and capable, compared to its siblings. And just like its premium brothers, the new guy features extensive infotainment solutions, innovative assist programs and refined drivetrain system. Let’s check out some more!

Exterior design

Q3 is way more aggressive and sharp-looking, compared to the older model. The new guy features new Singleframe in octagon design, divided by vertical bars and large air inlets. The front-end is pronounced and definitely muscular – it incorporates new Matric LED headlights with adaptive beam, while the sides feature symmetrical lines and tight body language. At the same time the rear features a long roof edge spoiler and steeply raked D pillars. Sweet!

Interior design

The cabin features taut lines, three-dimensionally styled components that echo in many ways Audi’s flagship models. The architecture reminds of something classy and yet contemporary and successfully incorporates premium comfort features and advanced technological gadgets. It is spacious and provides ample place for both passengers and system controls.

Drivetrain system

As part of the sales launch, Audi delivers the new Q3 with a choice of four engines – three gasoline and one diesel unit in combination with front-wheel or Quattro drive. The overall power output varies between 150hp to 230hp, depending on the drivetrain combination. Furthermore, all engines are four-cylinder direct injection beasts and can be mated to a six-speed manual or a fast-shifting seven-speed S tronic gearbox. Also, there’s new sporty suspension that comes as standarf feature that ensures progressive and smooth steering, thanks to the tauter spring/damper fine tuning. Neat!

Alpha-N Performance adds value to a sexy BMW M4 machine

2018 Alpha-N Performance BMW M4 We all know that BMW adopts programs that make stock models in one of the most popular and successful sports cars on the track. And this is exactly the case with the new M4 unit. Apart from the standard version, the revised vehicle comes with numerous upgrades and changes that make it menacing force for all its rivals.

However, there are people who wish there was even more. Such people happen to work in the Alpha-N studio. The team has taken a further step in the direction of uncompromising performance rates with their new BMW M4 GP. The vehicle has undergone numerous changes and now features new lightweight design, comprised with carbon-fiber components and many small changes that do make a difference: there are new hood with large air outlet, GT4 front spoiler with brake ducts, rear spoiler in the style of BMW M235i Racing Cup.

Alpha-N team has also managed to save up some weight by installing windows made of Macrolon – a lightweight and yet super durable material. Further upgrades include 9.5×19” and 10.5×19” BBS CH-R rims 265/35 and 305/30 semi-slick Pirelli tires.

In terms of interior, the vehicle has also received some special attention. Alpha-N team has dispensed everything that is unnecessary and could be dispensed and there were installed some goodies that are entirely performance-oriented: a pair of Recaro Pole Position seats, new carbon-fiber console and racing safety cell. Furthermore, the steering wheel is covered in special Alcantara cover that contributes to better grip and reduces sliding.

In terms of drivetrain system and technical adjustments, the engineering team has done a heavy engine revision and now the agile three-liter six-cylinder bad boy comes with enhanced power and a special inspection certificate from the TÜV (technical control board). Sweet! Also, the BMW has received a special Drexler limited slip differential and a chassis from the Swedish performance experts at Öhlins Racing. Further exclusive goodies include a coilover from Road & Track team. Sweet, isn’t it?

Let’s talk about new Corolla’s safety features, shall we?

2018 Toyota Corolla The new Corolla hatch is here and it brings tons of advanced safety and utility features. And as it seems, this would become the strongest perk of the new model – along with the refined drivetrain system and all advanced infotainment gadgets, Toyota team decided to focus on delivering us some neat safety gadgets. So, let’s check ‘em out!

Let’s start with the usual ones: there’s Active Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Safety System, seven airbags and revised reversing camera are just some of the utilities that would aid driver in his journey. However, the Active Cruise Control deserves some more attention. It uses a system of cameras and sensor to maintain a set distance to the vehicle in front and sets a cruising speed between 30km/h and 180km/h.

Other notable feature is the Active Pre-Collision Safety system that incorporates the use of an emergency braking and can detect pedestrians and other road obstacles. In case a collision is detected, PCS will employ a visual and audible warning and if there is no reaction undertaken, the brake assistance will engage and force the vehicle to stop.

Furthermore, buyers will also benefit from advanced Lane Departure Warning and Support System with multiple functions. For example, if the vehicle deviates from the lane unintentionally, the LDA function will issue an audible and visual warning and then it will provide gentle and yet notable steering assistance to encourage the drive to move back in the lane.

These are just some of the features that are incorporated in the latest Corolla vehicle. Some other include Blind Spot Monitor and Safety Heads Up Display for the SX and ZR models. In fact, the new Corolla also features rear-view camera with guidelines, while the passive safety features include minimum seven airbags.

Mercedes-Benz reveals the most aerodynamic vehicle in the segment

2018 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Saloon The latest A-Class Sedan has proven itself as the vehicle with the lowest drag, compared with any other production vehicle worldwide. Defending the original world record of the CLA Coupe, the agile sweetheart comes with a value of 0.22 and frontal area of 2.19m2. Impressive, right?

Long story short, engineers at Mercedes-Benz have been preparing for such an achievement for a long time – in fact, this appears to have been pretty tough task, due to the excellent predecessor the CLA Coupe. However, masterminds behind the new silhouette have dealt with the task with perfection and confidence and now showcase a vehicle with numerous revised features and some completely new changes and goodies.

The team was able to optimize and refine the aerodynamic capabilities by tons of computation loops, CAE simulations and measurements in wind tunnel in Sindelfingen. And in addition to the sexy exterior body design, the team has managed to reach yet another goal: all the small changes and improvements have led to a sophisticated reduction of the frontal area without sacrificing interior comfort features and vast cabin dimensions.

Furthermore, there are new front and rear wheel spoilers that are further optimized to route the air around the wheels as efficiently as possible, while the rims and tires have undergone some fine-tuning in order to contribute to the overall excellent aerodynamic profile. Also, depending on the market, the optimal two-part shutter system can be specified – what it does is to minimize the airflow through the engine bay.

As you might already know, the new A-Class Saloon will launch at the end of 2018. With a wheelbase of a hatchback and proportions of a sporty saloon, the A-Class offers short overhangs at the front and at the rear and tons of cabin space, especially for the rear seats. Of course, buyers will get efficient and refined drivetrain system, high level of safety features and advanced utility and driving-assistance systems.

G-POWER adds a kick to an already powerful Mercedes-AMG coupe

2018 G-POWER Mercedes-AMG C 63 Tuning specialists from G-POWER have decided to take a closer look at a particular AMG machine and turn it into something special and outstanding. Known for its exclusive and super hi-end upgrades, G-POWER has made a name for itself in the world of motorsport – we occasionally review all the new projects and editions that the team shares with us and every single time we are astonished by the final result.

But let’s get back to the vehicle, shall we? The lucky vehicle has received tons of upgrades and has undergone numerous changes in order to deliver what G-POWER was expecting from it. First of all, the G-POWER C 63 S AMG generates a total of 600hp and 800Nm of torque, thanks to the fine engine revision. Furthermore, the vehicle can be upgraded in two ways: by installing a performance module that cancels the top speed limitation and aids in the goad to reach a top speed of more than 300km/h. Kahn Design proudly demonstrates its latest project. Check it out!

2018 Kahn Design Land Rover Defender Flying Huntsman 105 Coming with Volcanic Rock Satin, a massive 6.2-liter V8 petrol engine that produces a total of 430hp and numerous features, the new Kahn Design project really catches the eye. Getting behind the wheel of such vehicle would definitely be a sort of ultimate fantasy for the petrol heads out there!

As always, Kahn Group CEO, Afzal Kahn and his fellow team members have installed such a styling package and mechanical upgrades that would make the customer fall in love with his new toy. With an extra of 400mm bodywork inserts and elongated chassis the revised vehicle has a lot to showcase. For example, the new body kit features integrated vents and bolt apertures and instantly recognizable X-Lander grille, front bumper replacement and diamond LED military headlights.

Furthermore, the Flying Huntsman 105 is capable of tackling down every on-road and off-road challenge, thanks to the comprehensive drivetrain system. The 6.2-liter power unit is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission system that channels waste via stainless steel exhaust system. There is also an upgraded heavy-duty chassis, upgraded suspension and braking and hi-lo ratio drive system and locking differentials.

In terms of interior, there are new front and rear GTB seats, revised passenger dashboard top and grab handles with rear passenger knee protectors that have been trimmed in high-quality leather with Hield fabric inserts. Driver and passengers will also enjoy the new roof lining, double 3-spoke steering wheel in Satin Silver, Flying Huntsman time clock fascia insert, custom central console and cubby box, rear side panels and A-pillars in leather.

Mazda CX-5 earns five-star rating from IIHS

Mazda North American Operations announce that the new 2018 CX-5 is recognized as “2018 Top Safety Pick+”, when equipped with Adaptive Front-Lightning System. As you might know, the nonprofit Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has become a sort of ordeal when it comes to testing vehicle’s safety and utility capabilities. In fact, 2018 Mazda CX-5 is the only small SUV that has earned such recognition.

In order to qualify for the award, a vehicle should earn good ratings in several test segments: driver-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, slide, roof strength and head resistance tests, along with good or acceptable score in the passenger-side small overlap front test. And last, but certainly not least, it must earn advanced or superior rate for the front crash prevention and good headlight test.

What makes the 2018 CX-5 is the new i-ACTIVESENSE suite that includes Mazda Radar Cruise Control: neat gadget that uses millwave radar at 18-90mph speeds and aids the vehicle to keep distance between other vehicles in front of it. For speed below 18mph MRCC uses a front camera and slows down to a standstill and moves at stop-and-go speeds without hesitation. This system is especially fine-tuned to work in harmony with the Distance Recognition Support System. Other goodies that the suite includes are Smart City Brake Support and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Neat!
